"I have to call Almira now and ask this!" I immediately ran and picked up my phone lying on the bed. As soon as I grasped it, I immediately searched for Almira's number and contacted her directly.
I'm sure that right now my face must be pale and panicked. How not? It concerns my marriage to Mas Denis that would really be ruined if everything were to be uncovered. Especially now that the problem becomes more complicated because Almira conveys the news of her pregnancy.
On the last ring, Almira finally answered my call.
"Hello, Brother. So where are we meeting?" ask him directly without further ado.
"Mira, where are you now?" ask me without answering Almira's question before because I feel there is something more important than that.
"I'm still at home, waiting for news from Big Brother that we'll see you where."
"Mira, please listen to me carefully! We can't meet today, but I promise I'll see you soon after I get home from the summit. Now please don't take a call or a message from Mas Denis if he invites you to meet!"
"What does Brother mean?" almira asked who might be confused by my request.
"Denis's mom changed, Mir! Looks like he knows something. Hence, he suddenly left me in the room and he said there was some business, when obviously he had a work holiday today!" My voice trembled as I said that to Almira.
"You mean Mas Denis knows all about Big Brother's lies? But how is it possible? He knows where? I never told anyone about my pregnancy other than Brother. Looks like Mas Denis changed for another reason, brother." Almira tried to express her opinion which made me finally realize that everything I planned was only known by Almira and she could not have leaked everything to Mas Denis.
I know who Almira is, she is a timid woman and always obeys all my wishes because she can't fight him. He's not the dissident type and a good kid so far. So I'm sure all my plans are safe in Almira's hands and I'm sure Mas Denis won't know about my lies.
"You're right, Almira. Then this has nothing to do with you. Just remember, you should never tell anyone about your pregnancy, including your mother, and keep this a secret for both of us. I will definitely see you soon after Mas Denis takes me home from the hotel." Without waiting for an answer from Almira I immediately ended the call.
"So what's the reason you changed, Mom? Why can you burden my mind with this sudden change of yours? Don't you know I'm so scared of losing you right now?" batinku.
In the midst of the fret that increasingly disturbed my calm, suddenly the hotel room door opened and it really surprised me. I saw Mas Denis back with a big enough box in his hand, I immediately got up from my sitting position. He stepped in while reviewing the smiles on both corners of his lips and it really confused me.
"Surprise!" he said all the doubts that had upset my composure.
Denis is standing in front of me handing over the box he was carrying. "Darling, I'm sorry I made you anxious and panicked. I just wanted to surprise you."
Suddenly my tears fell down my face. I could not speak hearing Mas Denis say after he made my heart almost stop beating.
"Darling, why are you crying?"
Denis immediately put the box he carried on the bed and he immediately cupped both sides of my face gently.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to make you cry. I just wanted to surprise you, I really didn't mean to make you sad like this." He explained it slowly while wiping my tears.
"Mas, you really made my heart almost stop. I'm afraid Mas, if you suddenly change like that." My cry broke out in front of Mas Denis who immediately grabbed me and took me into his warm embrace. But right now, I was really relieved to know my husband wasn't angry, he was just trying to surprise me in a way I couldn't figure out. The way that almost made me think about telling Mas Denis everything.
