"Carl?" Cora touched the woman's back. Carol turned her body around, she rounded her eyes when she saw Cora. The two of them seemed to dissolve in their minds and just looked at each other. None of them spoke as if their eyes could speak more than their mouths. After a long while the two of them fell silent and looked at each other, Carol smiled faintly at Cora.
"Cora, what are you doing here? you're with Tony?" Carol melted the silence between them, leading Cora to sit in a chair not far from where she was standing.
"I. . hmm. . . Adventure, I'm not with Tony." Cora smiled faintly.
"You're adventuring? I didn't expect Cora Dianthe to be in a place like this. You alone?" Carol looked around her trying to find Tony or Cora's best friend who she knew, but her efforts were in vain she did not find a figure she knew around Cora. "I'm sorry Cora." Carol continued her words, she said softly. He understood a little about their awkward situation at the moment, Cora had left Tony that was what came to Carol's mind.
"Why should I apologize? you didn't make any mistakes." Cora smiled sweetly, "What are you doing here?"
"It's a long story, I'm sorry Cora, I'm the one who made you split up." Carol said softly, she connected her fingers in each of her fingers.
"I have plenty of time to listen to you." Cora smiled sweetly, "Our love is not strong enough Carol, Maybe we really need time to learn to love each other again." Cora continued her words.
"Tony's a good man," Carol smiled wryly, "What did you ever tell me, Cora. Love never hurts, it always gives without expecting anything in return from the person you love, it's a sincere feeling not a feeling to be forced, love is supposed to be a feeling that makes you happy, not a feeling that makes you feel tormented." Carol continued her words softly, Cora smiled sweetly and clasped her best friend's hand tightly.
Carol turned her face towards the sky. "I was a stupid woman who just realized my feelings for Tony were an obsession. I hurt you, I've separated you two. I destroyed you and kept you apart. I ruined our friendship. I'm sorry Cora. I was a fool, a fool who realized everything when I had lost everything that was precious to me. Realizing that the moment I got this disease." Carol's eyes glazed over, she hugged Cora's body tightly, her tears flowing and soaked her cheeks.
"Look Carol, I never hated you. I've forgiven everything." Cora returned Carol's embrace and hugged her best friend tightly, "Disease? you sick? are you sick, Carol?" Cora looks worried. She let go of Carol's embrace and looked into Carol's bead.
Her best friend looks different, much different from the old Carol. The woman's body grew thinner and the woman's face did not shine as usual. No more cynical gazes came out of Carol's eyes, her eyes becoming soft and looking so peaceful.
"HIV AIDS" Carol said softly. She smiled sweetly, trying to bring out her sweetest smile for Cora.
"What's? since when?" Cora could not hide her surprise.
"I only found out about this illness a week after I gave Tony a picture of you and Jhon. You read what you so, that's a word that suits me." Carol smiled wryly, "I get my reward for all my evil deeds, this is karma. I want to spend the rest of my life doing good things. I want to start all over this village." Carol lowered her face, after she could manage her tears, she pitched her face upwards and smiled sweetly. Yes, this is what he wanted. Spending the rest of his life will certainly not be long in a quiet place like where he is today. He wanted to help those who had the same fate as him, trying to find peace in his heart, a peace he had never felt for a long time.
"Carol, you are my best friend and will always be my best friend." Cora hugged Carol's trembling body, feeling warm on her shoulders as Carol's tears had drenched her shoulders. They hugged each other and channeled each other the little bit of power they had.
"I want to make Cora's confession. What you saw in England, in Tony's apartment it was all a lie. I got Tony drunk on Peter's birthday, I brought him home. He never touched me, I wanted to make you part and my dead baby was not Tony's son. I did a lot of things that hurt you." Carol hugged Cora's body, "I'm sorry Cora, I know sorry will never be enough." Carol sobbing.
Cora let go of her embrace and stared softly into her best friend's bead. The pair of eyes before him were filled with regret, his chest felt tight when he found the truth over all the things he had doubted. There was a feeling of sadness when he saw the condition of his best friend. Fate feels so cruel, he doesn't know why fate let him meet Carol if they're going to be two people who hurt each other. Indeed, no human being will understand the plan of fate, but at least he does not want destiny always to toy with his heart and make everyone around him hurt.
"I believe that Tony won't do anything that will hurt me. That feeling of love is so hard to describe in words, we just need to feel with the heart. If we love her we must trust her because a trustless love relationship will fail. The word love may sound simple and concise, but the meaning of love itself feels so great and so hard to explain." Cora smiled faintly.
"Go back to Tony, I'm sure you and him are suffering a lot with this farewell. You deserve to be happy, not parted like this." Carol said softly, she clasped Coradan's hand trying to convince Cora to return to her love. Maybe he cannot feel the end of a happy love story like in a fairy tale, but he wants his best friend to get a happy ending.
"Not for now Carol." Cora smiled faintly, "If we were created to be together, let fate lead Tony back to me."
"You're always resigned and believe in the same destiny. You cannot always rely on destiny. Sometimes fate is too cruel, Cora. If we don't try to find our own happiness, we can never be happy." Carol snorted annoyedly, she was annoyed to see the nature of Cora who always resigned to the destiny.
Cora chuckled softly at the face of her best friend. "Are we not met by fate? travel in Paris, then in England and we meet back here. Destiny always brings us together." Cora smiled sweetly, "When we are apart there is always a way that makes us meet again, do you not believe in the name of destiny? Isn't that all due to fate? isn't it fate that has always brought us back together?" Cora looked at Carol gently. Carol seemed to think for a moment, she tried to digest the words coming out of Cora's mouth. Yes, it was all this time that fate brought them together. How he does not want to believe in destiny if all this time destiny is always toying with his life.
"Believe, it's destiny that brings us together and plays us. If only we could go back to that time. Back at our first meeting, I won't waste your friendship." Carol said softly. He knew that regret would only torment him. Regrets will always haunt him, but he is truly sorry that the wonderful friendship he once felt with Cora ended just like that. If the fate that Cora has always said can turn back time, she does not want to waste the only most beautiful friend she has ever had in this world away from her.
They looked at each other and exchanged smiles, this time it was the happy smile that was engraved on the faces of the two. In the end Carol can feel the sincerity of Cora's friendship. His heart felt so peaceful. He can not repeat time, but at least he can fix everything slowly. They both set their sights on the blue sky above them, they stared at such a vast and beautiful sky and wished they could repeat their precious time, which was so precious, all this time they were in vain.
