Originally Patriarch Duchong wanted to make Du Lian enter the small realm of the Heavenly Green Ladybird because it had an innate talent related to poison. He believed Du Lian would bring back the Heavenly Insect Control technique back to the Poisonous Insect sect.
Only with that technique would the Poisonous Insect sect develop into stronger. But the reason Duchong did not include Du Lian from the past was because of the lack of certainty he had.
Du Lian was very happy to know that the opportunity he had been waiting for had finally arrived, so he did not care much about the person who would accompany him to enter the small realm and only agreed to it without asking.
Duchong chuckled softly hearing Du Lian who looked not so concerned about the person, “It seems you haven't realized anything yet. The one who will accompany you is Zhen Yuan, the second master of the Elixir.”
