Trapped in Brother Love

The more days Raina's condition worsened, his body that used to look fresh fit now looks thin because of his appetite continues to decline. Mike could not bear to see the condition of his mother like that. Repeatedly she urges Raina to tell her how she feels, but Raina always covers her up and says that she is fine. 

That afternoon Mike was accompanying Raina in her room while bribing her. Suddenly Mike's phone rang, he looked at the screen of his phone apparently it was his personal assistant. Mike gets word that he has to meet with a client who is held out of town for a few days. 

Cring.. Cring.. Cring..

“Halo,” says Mike.

“Good afternoon Sir, I just got word from our client that they would like to hold a three-day meeting at one of their company branches outside the city,” said his personal assistant.

“Just prepare the files, we will leave tomorrow morning,” said Mike and hung up.

Mike took a deep breath and then looked at his mother. Then Mike sat by the bed and asked Raina for permission if she had any work out of town for three days. 

“Ma, I have to go out of town for three days because there is work,” said Mike with a lethargic face.

“Why do you look so uninspired? You are usually very happy if there is a job outside the city,” asked his mother while holding Mike's hand. 

“Who will look after Mama later?” mike Sahut.

“You don't have to worry. Mama's fine here. You just focus on your work. When are you leaving,” asked Raina.

“Besok morning Ma,” says Mike.

Although it is hard for Mike to leave Raina, Raina still tries to convince Mike that he is fine.

“What is Mama sure about? It's okay if I stay for a few days?” mike asked once again to convince Raina.

“Yes, son, go,” Raina said with a smile.

That night Mike was busy preparing the items he would bring during his trip out of town tomorrow. While Mike was busy packing, Alice passed in front of Mike's open door. Alice poked her head into Mike's room and asked where she was going, but Mike answered her tightly.

“Hai, where are you going?” ask Alice.

“Can you knock on the door first? Not very polite,” said Mike ketus without looking at Alice.

“Sorry, next time I'll knock on the door first. So where are you going?” ask Alice.

“Not your business,” said Mike briefly while closing the door of his room.

Alice was shocked when Mike slammed her bedroom door right in front of Alice's face. But Alice did not put it in her heart. He understands Mike hates him so much because of Esme's bad behavior that has destroyed Mike's family. Alice passed away from the front of Mike's room and returned to his room. 

After Mike's departure, the moment was used by Esme to find a way so that Raina did not feel at home. Many times Esme tried to find a way to make Esme eat liver. 

Right after Mike's car drove away from the house, Esme pulled Haris' hand and acted spoiled in front of Raina. Haris gently stroked Esme's hair, without caring for Raina who was in front of her. Alice, who feels uncomfortable with Raina because of her mother's behavior, tries to warn Esme.

“Silent, already there just go into the room. I want quality time both,” said Esme while glancing at Raina. 

Raina who is fed up and hurt chooses to leave instead of having to see her husband making out with women ******. Alice tries to pursue Raina with the intention of apologizing, but Raina ignores her.

“I'm sorry my mother, I know her actions have gone too far, I really promise to take my mother away from this house soon,” Alice said as she grabbed Raina's arm.

“Don't touch me! You are as dirty as your mother,” said Raina with a hateful look.

Time went on, day changed night, but the atmosphere in this house still felt the same for Raina. It felt like this house was hell. There hasn't been a day that Mike left, Esme keeps going. He acts like a host here. Raina chose silence, because even if she fought no one to defend herself in this house, including Haris.

One night, when Raina thought everyone was asleep, she decided to go out for a drink. He walked through Esme's room. From a distance, he heard a sigh that changed with the sound of laughter. Esme accidentally opens the door to her room when she is having sex with Haris, to make Raina's mood warm up. 

“Au..Sh..Mph..Ahhe.. Babe..,” a sigh comes out of Esme's mouth.

Raina who heard and saw that with her own eyes felt instantly shattered into pieces. He ran to his room. Tears fell unstoppably soaking his cheeks. 

“Why did this all have to happen to me. I am tired of facing all this,” Raina said in a soft voice.

This afternoon the atmosphere of the house seemed quiet, even Raina was not seen coming out of the room since this morning. 

“I haven't seen Raina this morning,” said Haris.

“It's not normal he never went out of the room. Let it be later if he is hungry also definitely out,” Esme said.

At night, Mike returns home from out of town. He entered the house, but the atmosphere was very quiet. Before he enters his room, Mike heads to Raina's room and peeks at his sleeping mother slanting back to the door. He walked in and went to his mother's bed. 

He saw the face of his mother who looked calm and peaceful and then kissed his mother's forehead. But at once he felt something strange about his mother. Her mother's body was so cold and stiff. Mike tried to wake his mother but there was no response. 

“Ma, Mama's sick?” mike said, shaking his mother's shoulder.

Mike grabs Raina's hand and checks her pulse. Mike's heart was racing when he didn't feel a pulse on his mother's wrist. Mike tried to shake the bad thoughts from his head and check his mother's breath through his nose. Niente. No breath coming out.

Mike turned to the bedside table. He found a brown glass bottle. 

“What medicine is this?” mumbled Mike.

He opened the bottle and smelled it. It is potassium cyanide powder. He soon realized that his mother had died drinking poison. Mike screamed and made everyone wake up from sleep. The first person to enter after hearing the shout was Alice, because of the location of her room not far from Raina's room. Then Haris and Esme.

“Hey what happened?” alice asked in panic.

Mike did not answer he continued to cry and scream hysterically while hugging his mother's body which had been stretched stiff on the bed.
