Alice's health condition slowly began to recover, some injuries on the legs were not as severe as a few days before. The doctor really took good care of Alice as well as treating the many wounds on the woman's body, she said, Alice was also excited because she wanted to meet Esme immediately and ask for an explanation of everything that happened to her.

Mike remained faithful to Alice in the hospital during treatment, although the woman remained indifferent and cold to Mike. But this did not diminish Alice's love. With Alice not throwing him away, Mike is happy enough, so he has to be patient a little more until Alice can really accept the reality of her status which is not Esme's biological child .

"I'll take you to meet Esme, because the doctor has allowed you to go home." Haris comes to meet Alice and convey what Alice has been waiting for.

Alice smiled happily, because this was what she wanted and soon she would hear Esme's explanation of the story that Haris had previously told her. It was just that Alice wanted Esme to say it herself, not from anyone else even though it was Haris.

"Thank you very much, Dad." That was all Alice was capable of saying because her own relationship with Haris was indeed not very close.

The four of them head to the police station where Esme and Johan are being held, and Alice is confused as to why she was taken to the police station? But after he finds out about the crime that Esme is the mastermind behind the threat that has been terrorizing Haris all along. From there Haris learns that Alice is not his biological child with Esme .

Haris enters first and meets Esme imprisoned, Haris conveys Alice's desire to meet Esme and hear directly about her status which turns out to be an adopted child.

"I don't want to see him, why is he seeing me anyway? Didn't you tell him? If he's not my son or your son but the son I picked up from the orphanage." Esme refused to go to Alice.

Esme rejects Haris' request not without reason, she does not hate Alice at all, but Esme only feels guilty to the girl who has always shown affection for her, but Esme, I don't know why these feelings arise when Alice wants to meet him in his current state.

"Please, Esme. He just wanted to ask you for an explanation directly, about the truth that Alice is the child you took from the orphanage. I did tell him that he wasn't my real son or your son, but he didn't believe me at all and insisted on seeing you in person." Haris continues to try to persuade Esme to have the woman ready to meet Alice and explain everything.

"Don't force me, Haris. Didn't I tell you that I'm not at all interested and don't want to meet Alice." Esme still refused the day's request and she did not notice Haris who had come to see him in prison.

"Well, if you still refuse. I'm forced to add to this prison sentence, but if you change your mind. Then I'll try to ease his sentence." The final path is chosen by Haris by threatening Esme to get her to meet Alice.

Haris was relieved that Esme was willing to meet Alice even though she had to be threatened first, Haris would never forget her words, she would definitely ease Esme's punishment if she was willing to comply, and vice versa.

"Mama ..Mama how are you? I came here to ask for an explanation from you, before my father had already told me about my status which turned out to be an adopted child. I just want to hear from your mouth straight away, so I beg you to tell me the truth." Alice sat in front of Esme who was blocked by a large table between the two.

Esme did feel guilty for everything she had done to Alice, how the girl had always respected and showed affection and care for her. But it turns out that all the goodness of Alice was actually used by Esme to complete her revenge on Mike and Haris.

"It's true that you're not my real son. Your biological parents are dead, and you live in an orphanage. Then I took you and made you my adopted son, I'm sorry Alice. Because it has ruined your life because of the resentment and hatred in me." Esme lowered her head, she felt guilty and sinful for dragging the girl into her personal troubles.

Hearing Esme's honest answer, Alice immediately burst into tears. He did not expect that the woman who had been considered a mother by him, was only an adoptive mother who also always showed an indifferent and cold attitude towards him. Alice initially thought that it was her character, but now that she had heard it all, she concluded that Esme's attitude towards her had always been because she wasn't her real mother.

"I love you very much, Mama." Alice was unable to continue her words, she could only cry in front of Esme .

Seeing Alice crying, it added more guilt to Esme. How sincere Alice loved her, but what she had done to Alice was outrageous, the baby Esme had taken from the orphanage, an innocent baby hopes to get a place of comfort and love from a parent figure, but Esme instead involves Alice into the vindictiveness of a hateful past.

Esme could not face Alice any longer, her heart was so sore that she saw Alice crying. So Esme immediately stood up, not caring about Alice who was still sobbing. 

"My aim was to get back into the cell, my business was done" Esme told officers guarding the cell, where she was being held.

Then Esme is again escorted by a prison guard, leaving Alice still crying in her place. A reality that made Alice unable to stem her grief. For many years, she lived in the nurturing of a mother figure, but there was not the slightest bit of affection let alone the love that Alice got from Esme.

But anyway, Alice still loved Esme sincerely and wholeheartedly. No matter Esme's indifference, now everything was open. Alice must accept her destiny and move on with those who may still love her.
