Trapped in Brother Love

Alice just got to the office at exactly 07:30. He filled out the attendance list, then started walking towards the office locker to put his bag there. His heart was completely unsettled and felt like he wanted to go far away from here. 

Just as he was about to put down the bag, two men passed behind him. One of them was wearing a black suit and the fragrance was left behind. Alice immediately lowered her head to realize that the fragrance came from Mike's distinctive fragrance oil that was always used every day. Alice knows because she usually waits for Mike's presence in the office, but right now to see it Alice can't be because she's too scared by Mike's murderous gaze. 

With his employees, I don't know where Mike's going. But certainly one of the tasks of the manager is to ensure the fulfillment of K3 standards in accordance with the laws and regulations. 

“Is there any other activities I have not done? I was worried that I had missed something important. I have arranged the team to oversee the governance of the park that is being worked on, later I ask you to report all forms of expenditure starting tomorrow,” pinta Mike with a very serious face. 

The assistant nodded, “Good, Sir. I will do. I also want to let you know that I have calculated the cost of shopping this month. I'll leave it to my dad's desk. Do you have time to check it out? And for today there are several schedules that you must do, namely the first to inform back local tourism info around the inn and the second to oversee the training of new staff.” Assistant Mike said as he stared at the schedule on the tablet in his hand. 

Hearing the words Mike turned around, he grinned at Alice who was seen still putting the bag inside her locker. He was seen putting his belongings in with great care like someone standing among the glass displays at the supermarket. 

“For supervision on HR selection of new staff, leave it to Alice. Let him supervise and record anyone who is entitled to be part of the Praja Hotel. Then give him the task to do a re-research of tourism places here, there are some tourism that has just opened and it can be added to the list when giving information later. Then the third, tell him to keep an eye on the cafes, bars, and restaurants and halls for the conference. Lastly, give me the data as soon as possible about those developments,” said Mike, then smiled obliquely at Alice. 

Instead of fighting back and questioning why Mike had suddenly given him so much work, Alice simply fell silent and did not dispute anything Mike said to his assistant. 

“Sorry, but—“

“Rather than you spend time questioning this reason, you better quickly tell him and give me a report as soon as possible because I really need it.” After saying that, Mike immediately left and there was only Alice left who was still wondering about her work system that had changed. 

“Alice, come here!” pinta assistant Mike. 

Alice stepped up, she walked up to the assistant, then stood in front of him holding the id card she used to work on. “What should I do first?” ask Alice. 

Alice took it with a smile. “Nothing, I'll do well, sir. But may I ask some things that I may not know related to the report I will write later?” ask Alice. 

The assistant nodded. “It is my pleasure to help you as much as I can. But I won't be holding a 24-hour device, so I hope you'll be patient if I don't reply to your messages right away. And make sure that you are careful in carrying out this task, look at everything you see and research really, because if it is wrong just a little then the effect on the next step. So, make sure that you are not mistaken.” He warned, apparently not fully believing in Alice who incidentally never did this task before. 

“Good, so what should I do first?” ask Alice. To be honest, he was very confused and afraid that if he could not do well, he was afraid of being an incompetent worker, but he had to do this regardless of the end result. Rather than resisting and angering Mike, he thought, he would do better to work out what Mike decided for him. 

“From nine to twelve in the afternoon, you must go to the main room. There are several new prospective staff who have passed stage three and conducted stage four interviews. There are two people on duty there, and then you'll be added. You will decide which HR is right to be a part of us. You have to record one by one and check their CV carefully, after which the data is collected and checked again for three days, after which you have to give news to those who escaped,” obviously the assistant carefully. 

Alice nodded in understanding. “I will try it well, then what else should I do?” alice asked again, as if challenging herself to cross the worst bridge she was on.

“Then at one o'clock after you have lunch, please check out the bar and restaurant. Make sure that—“ Assistant does not continue his speech, he scratched his nape while looking at Alice with a look of pity. 

“What's up, Sir?” alice asked as she tilted her head, watching the movements of the assistant trying to find answers from the look of her face that looked anxious. “Why not continue?”

“Alice is really hard for you to do because your part is not here. Some things should be held by the manager directly, so it is impossible for me to give this task to you. But never mind, go for today first. The rest I will say the next task along with tutorials so you can do it easily. Anyway for now the most important thing you go to the main room first. Thank you, and happy working.” The assistant immediately left. 

Alice reread the note in her hand as she walked towards the main room that had been assigned to her. There were many lists of activities that he had to do in the notes in his hands, but most of them were incomprehensible because they were quite complicated. Alice exhaled her breath trying to surrender. 

“I can definitely do it,” whispered to myself.
