The phone was still ringing, and Alice couldn't have let it go. Mike's gonna get mad if he doesn't pick up his phone right away. With her hands shaking and her heart racing, Alice grabbed her phone, shifted the green button and put it in her ear.
"Yes hello, Mike," said Alice when the phone was connected.
"Why so long, from anywhere? Where are you now?" Mike snapped in a thunderous voice, to the point that Alice kept the phone away from his ear.
"I, I-" Alice was silent for a moment.
"Speak tell me where are you?" mike asked, yelling at Alice.
"I'm in an orphanage, Mike," Alice replied in a soft voice.
Loud breathing from across the phone, Alice knew Mike was angry right now. Alice did not feel fear. He feels that Mike is very worried and worried about him at the moment, so Alice answers about his whereabouts. Plus a lot of missed messages and calls, so Alice concludes that Mike really didn't come home last night.
"Send the address in a short message, I'll pick you up right now." Mike lowered the volume of his voice, he no longer shouted like before. Then Mike hung up his phone unilaterally.
After her phone connection was cut off, Alice immediately sent Mike the address of the orphanage. Alice returns to the dining room, where all the restorants are having breakfast together.
"Breakfast first, son. Mother accompanied," said the home mom, scooping rice onto a plate and then given it to Alice.
"Thank you, Mom." Alice received the plate and picked up some of the side dishes available on the dining table.
Both had a warm breakfast, while the other children were working on activities that had always been their daily routine if the day was off.
Alice washes the dishes everyone used for breakfast, after she finished heading outside. Look at the kids cleaning the yard. Also watering the plants.
While Mike immediately turned his car to the address mentioned by Alice, long awaited news of the woman's whereabouts. Turns out he's in an orphanage, and Mike doesn't think about it at all.
"Wait for me there Alice, since last night you've been making me sleepless. Because it worries and worries you" Mike murmured, staying focused on driving the car.
Alice looks happy to be in the orphanage, she feels like a human being who is so appreciated and accepted. Because all this time fate was reluctant to let her be happy, so for Alice only in this place she could be free to be herself, without any pressure.
Mike had already arrived in front of a simple building, after an hour's drive. Mike looked at the building, and immediately got out of his car. Circulating the view around the location, there was only one two two-wheeled vehicles seen passing through the place.
"The address is right here, the name of the orphanage is also the same as Alice had just sent. Maybe he's inside, I'd better get down and see him." Mike got out of his car, he saw some kids cleaning the yard.
Mike walked over to some of the children he had seen cleaning the yard, then asked about Alice. Whether the woman is in the home or not.
"Sister Alice, it's inside. Sir, you're helping the others clean up the parlour" replied the boy who was approached by Mike.
Mike saw the sincerity of Alice who was helping the children of the orphanage clean the inside of the place, not feeling the smile of Mike's aunt. He was happy, because the woman in front of him was so good and could blend in with all of them.
But the next moment, the smile disappeared. Replacing with resentment when Mike realizes otherwise he should feel admiration for Alice, so he returns to his original intention of coming to this parlour for what.
"Sorry, who are you looking for?" The housewife approached Mike who was standing on the doorstep, looking at Alice with the children.
"I'm looking for Alice, and I'm going to pick her up" Mike replied expressionlessly.
The maam nodded, and walked towards Alice who was unaware that a man had come looking for her. Then the housewife whispered in Alice's ear, then pointed at Mike who was still standing in his place.
"I went there first, Mom. He's the boss at work, maybe there's something to talk about so he asked for the home address." Alice says that so that the housewife does not feel worried about him, because Mike's face looks unfriendly.
"Yes, meet him first. I saw the guy so fierce, his face so stiff." The mother whispered in Alice's ear, and then she invited the children out.
With Mike and Alice inside, Alice invites Mike to sit down. Alice was calm in front of Mike, although she also felt that the man was not in his mood.
"I don't need to sit down, I just want to pick you up to get out of here. I'm not gonna talk about anything in this place, so I'm waiting for you in the car right away." Mike went out after saying that to Alice.
Without waiting for Alice's approval, Mike doesn't care. He only wanted the woman to obey his orders, there was no rejection. Without saying anything, Mike got back in his car past everyone in the yard.
"You keep cleaning, I'll go inside first." The mother rushed to the guest room, where Alice was.
Alice is putting a cell phone in her bag, she has to go to Mike and come with the guy. Before something bad happens and seen by the mother of the orphanage also children.
"Mom, I'm sorry. Because there's a job I have to finish, for I came to pick him up and now he's waiting for me outside. Thank you so much for letting me stay here. I'll come by again." Alice hugs the orphanage mother and leaves immediately, getting into Mike's car.
Mike immediately gas-fired to leave the home, he went to the nearest hotel, not to his hotel. He had to vent his anger on Alice. Because that woman's been worrying him all night.
"Why are we here?" alice asked as Mike entered the parking lot of a hotel not far from the orphanage.
"It doesn't take much to say, you know later. Get out now." Mike opened the car door and closed it violently.
Alice immediately got out of the car, and looked at Mike who was already standing with anger, then with a single stomp his hand reached Alice's hand. Mike pulls Alice's hand violently, without her noticing that Johan saw the incident.
Mike did not care if Alice felt pain due to the grip of her hand so strong on Alice's wrist.
