Trapped in Ramadhan
Part 18 - Origins

...Origins...

13 Ramadan. Midnight.

I was still in the same room as Rimba, the Two-wheeled Guild Leader from the South. I clasped his phone in my hand and was astonished at the information I had obtained after making him blush. The girl in the video with Rimba who used to blackmail Rossa is a human I've never met before. This fact confused me. If it wasn't Rossa, why could he be forced to race as the Black Gem represents the Jungle Flock? I must quickly uncover this mystery. And I thought of a plan that I didn't know would work or not.

One of my abilities is that I can see pieces of memory that come out of the black aura of human negative emotions. I was also constantly looking at the memory pieces of the Two-wheeled Gang human that I didn't even know his identity but as if I was living the experience myself. I don't know how I got that memory piece myself, because I lost my memory. Based on that, I might be able to access the abilities I once had but I forgot about it. This time I will try experimenting.

I noticed Rimba lying on the bed. Looking at the fine snoring he had released, it seemed like he was fast asleep. I approached and pressed my left palm against Rimba's head. Then I concentrated while expecting two things to happen; I could see the pieces of his memory and not damage his brain while doing so. I wasn't too sure I'd be able to see the Jungle's memory, but I kept concentrating and it worked out.

Like watching a compilation video consisting of pieces of random footage that change every 5 seconds. Too fast and confusing. I tried to concentrate on the phone that was in my right hand. I'm focusing on Video of the Jungle and the Mysterious Girl. Instantly the information about the Video and the Girl flowed into me. Like when typing one keyword on the internet and all the information related to it starts popping up. That's how I've been. I sorted out the information until I reached the conclusion I needed.

The girl in the video on Rimba's phone is her ex-boyfriend who was mentioned by Jo. The girl was a friend of Rossa's. The video was never shown to anyone else. And the file was never duplicated. There's only one video on this phone that I'm holding. Rimba makes a pact with Rossa who wants to help her friend by deleting the Video for good. The race quota should have been fulfilled after the race. But the crash got the race cancelled and will be reset the next few days. There is one more race for Rossa. But now I can change it.

I tried hard to just focus on the information about the problematic video. But the longer I concentrated, the pieces of the Jungle's memory broke in and synchronized with the pieces of human memory I've been seeing. I'm drawn to other times and places...

First I was at the food stall. At the same long table as me, I saw the Young Man with the batik headband, the Young Man who was hospitalized with a bloody wound on his head, and three other Young Men. On the other table there were also 5 other Youths who were all also wearing jackets or jerseys with Two-wheeled Gang Logo. Then came the young man who went straight to the table, grabbed one of the young men sitting there, and banged his head against the table. The other youth at the same table instantly acted by attacking this new Youth. But despite being ganged up this new young man could fight fiercely.

I've seen this young man before. Even now without the black pieces in her ear, I still recognize her. The young man who triggered this fight was a jungle younger than the one I met. These are definitely memories of a few years ago. Despite being younger, Rimba was still savage and strong. The young man who ganged on him even to the point of being overwhelmed. Seeing that, the headband youth came forward to approach the other table to fight the Jungle. But when they faced each other and grabbed each other by the collar of their clothes, there was a buzz and scream coming from the mother of the owner of the stall. The mother with her fierce face approached and pushed both ears while scolding them for fighting in her stall. One fact flows clearly into my mind, The mother of the owner of the stall is the birth mother of the Youth tied batik head.

The second memory takes place on a wild race track. I drive a sports bike at high speed. Next to me was another Jockey who was also riding the same kind of motorbike. A typical cold wind at night hit my body on the motorbike. A few meters ahead, I could see a crowd of people waiting for the first Jockey to get there first. My distance from my opponent is very close. I was leading only by the margin of the front wheel as we crossed the finish line. After I slowed down the bike until it finally stopped, people came to me. Among them were the two most familiar; the Youth with the headband and the other Youth, along with the other Youth in the stall.

The other jockey who unlocked his helmet and revealed his identity was none other than Rimba stepping towards me while yelling in annoyance. Some Youths with Two-wheeled jackets held him back, but I asked them to let him forward. After being freed, Rimba immediately punched me in the face, a hard blow that made me retreat. I motioned to the members of the Two-wheeled Gang not to interfere.

Rimba advanced again with his fists, but this time I was able to dodge. I retaliated by punching her in the stomach with my right hand, continuing to hit her back with my left arm, and giving her a crushing uppercut. I continued by slamming the left fist into his face. As I raised my right fist, Rimba held it down with his left arm and landed a right punch on my face. I purposely took a step back so I could keep my distance and kick her stomach hard. As the Jungle retreated backwards, I jumped forward to attack. But Rimba resisted my attack and gave a counterattack.

Rimba and I continued to attack and resist the attack. We punch and kick fast and hard. Blood started to flow on our bruised faces. But we're both not gonna stop until somebody really loses. After a while I managed to push the Jungle back and fell near the crowd that swarmed us while exclaiming excitedly. I staggered back but I still managed to keep myself standing straight. And Rimba also has not given up, he rose to his feet despite trembling like me.

I know this is a piece of memory from time gone by, an event that not even I lived through. But I feel like I'm living it directly right now. And I really want to defeat this human who is my opponent. With this final attack, I will make the Jungle completely fall. I stood up straight, then charged forward quickly and jumped up with both feet raised to hit Rimba's body hard. I fell down with my back to the ground, but I still had the strength to roll over and get up. Meanwhile in front of me the Jungle lay weakly near the crowd of people. The next second sounded the cheers of excitement from the members of the Two-wheeled Gang.

Memories change again as Me and the members of the Two-wheeled Gang who are now increasing by several people including Rimba are preparing to fight against other groups whose number of members is balanced. The group was led by the Youth with the shape of a box jaw and a chin. I led the Jungle and the others forward to attack them.

The next memories returned again to the dining hall belonging to the Youth Mother with a batik headband. We and the group that were our opponents were in this place after the end of the clash. Both of our groups have resolved the issue and made peace. Their leader decided to join the Two-wheeled Gang. Then came another group looking for the Two-wheeled Gang to the Warung. We've just finished one fight, but we're more than ready to take on this new group. Even the leafy Youth and her group were also ready to help as new members of the Two-wheeled Guild. Then forward their leader who is none other than Rian. Rian explains the fallacy and expresses his wish and his group searches for the Two-wheeled Gang is to join.

In the last memory I was in some sort of large, spacious warehouse that was rectangular in shape. I'm not alone, this place is filled with so many Youths who are members of the Two-wheeled Gang that are getting bigger. I was on one side of the end of the barn, sitting around the table with some other young men. They are the Youth with the batik headband and his friends, Rimba, Rian, and also the Glassy Youth. I explained the situation of the Two-Wheeled Gang whose members were becoming more and more numerous and the reputation of the Guild was becoming increasingly recognized.

Then I revealed the idea of dividing the Gang into Divisions based on the area of the members. And appoint them to lead the new Division. The jungle from the South will lead the Southern Division. Rian became the leader of the Western Division. The Eastern Division is led by the disunited Youth. While the Center is in a different situation because I pointed at the Youth with a batik headband and his friend to watch over them. All Leaders will be responsible for the actions of their respective Divisions. But they keep reporting to me who also heads the Northern Division and as the Supreme Leader, the Two-wheeled Guild Leader.

As a symbolism of the inauguration of the Division, I and the Leaders toast with canned drinks. All members also took a toast and ate a snack that has been distributed. Then...

"Brakkk! Brakk!"

The sound of a bang on the door returned me to the present, back to the Jungle's room.

"Brakkk! Brakk! Brakk!"

The door bangs that kept sounding woke Rimba who dawdled down from the bed and stepped foot to the door to open it. The one behind it was the bespectacled Young man and his two companions. They look tense.

"What!?" Ask Rimba in a hoarse voice.

"There's an OD below." Sahut Youth with glasses.

"What!?" Pekik Reimba's. "Damn it!" His meaning before exiting the room and quickly heading down.

This intervention was a good thing for me. Because I made the phone flushed, I couldn't just walk through the wall or the floor. The phone is hidden from humans, but it still cannot be material that penetrates solid objects. So I had to go down the stairs and go through all the doors to get out of this house. It's really ineffective. How can humans get used to living like this? We Jin Nation can penetrate man-made buildings easily.

But fortunately the human crowd at the bottom is being preoccupied because there are those who Overdose drugs. So no man is drunk enough to stop me from leaving this place. I was tempted to stay longer and watch as Rimba realized the loss of her phone. Being able to see his confused reaction would be very satisfying. But I don't want to linger in this place anymore. I got what I needed. The video on this phone, Rimba makes use of this to curb the Black Gem. Rossa wants to help her friend, and I'm gonna help her make that happen.
