...The reunion...
17 Ramadan. Nightly.
Have you ever felt empty? Have you ever questioned the truth about yourself? All your life, you believed in knowing who you were. But suddenly you're told that it's not you. You tried to resist it, but you couldn't escape that reality. Identity Crisis. That's what I'm experiencing now. Until a few days ago, I was the Dark Jin. But now I'm forced to accept the fact that I'm not the Dark Jin anymore... Now I am the Genie of Light. How is that possible? I don't know either.
For the last three days I have isolated myself. Trying to calm my mind. Trying to figure out why I changed. Trying to find a way out of this situation. The place I isolated myself was nothing but an abandoned building with a huge banyan tree growing inside. The place I once visited when I was a Dark Jin, along with my Jin mentors, Ra-ul and Ri-val.
When I came to this place on the night three days ago, this place was being used as a location for drug dealing by some young man. With a little effort I managed to scare them to run off the ridge. And the sad fact is, even though I did such a bad thing, I still didn't go back to my old self! And now that three days have passed, I still don't get what I'm looking for! What I feel right now is an indelible complete boredom! I need to get out of this place!
I decided to travel around the Eastern Region, because I rarely went around this part of the city. The atmosphere of the streets tonight is quite crowded even though this time should still be time to pray Tarawih. It seems that as the days go by, the less people pray Tarawih in the Masjid. After a lot of attention, most even just Prayers Isya, then disappeared during Tarawih, and miraculously back again when Prayers Witir. Usually children to teenagers like that. Well, whatever. That's none of my business either.
After a few minutes of walking around, I found nothing that caught my attention. Just a boring night as usual. I was thinking about finding the location of the Wild Race so I could have a little fun, then I realized it was still too early. So I went on this aimless walk. But then I ran into a biker who seemed familiar to me.
Out of curiosity I ran after the young man wearing a dark blue denim shirt and trousers who had just passed in front of me. I feel like I've met him. And as soon as I caught up with him and ran off the bike next to him, I remembered. This impurity is the young man I met the day before Ramadan.
I still clearly remember the incident at Warung Bakso Mama. That night I watched Ra-ul and Ri-val in action by pitting two young men to a fight. One of the Youths came with her lover, while the other Youth came along with this Impurity I was following. Her undercut-style hair had indeed grown thicker, but her face was the face of the same human.
Since I was bored and there was nothing important to do, I decided to follow this young man and pay attention to what kind of life he lived. And because of the problems I'm having right now, I'm less excited to keep running after the bike. So I waited until the police went to sleep and jumped on the motorbike of the Youth. He was surprised by the weight change and looked back to check. Fortunately, this man cannot see me. So I just sat back behind him to where he was.
We stopped at the familiar Bakso Warung, Warung Bakso Mama. This time this simple food stall was filled with at least ten young men who came with their motors. I remember two of them. The double-headed man who was the Leader of the East Division of the Two-wheeled Gang and his friend whom I met a few nights ago at the South Prisoner Headquarters while solving the Black Gem problem.
The young man wearing a T-shirt bearing the logo of the Two-wheeled Gang and nine other youths greeted the Youth I followed. That meant they were all the East Division Two-wheeled Guilds. It seemed like they had also just arrived, as their orders were being prepared. And the young man I followed also directly ordered food and drinks. From their chat while waiting, now I know the name of the Chin and Youth that I followed; Wawan and Dwi.
They also talked about another group of Two-wheeled Gangs going wild all over the city. Some of those who guessed the group were members of the Jungle of the Southern Flocks. It seems no surprise that it is true. And there's one more interesting thing they're talking about. About the Invisible Hero they think is getting talked about in the city. Dwi showed video from her cell phone showing CCTV footage on an Eastern highway as the truck with the brakes went to the store's terrace. But the magic thing is the man outside the store who suddenly switches places just before the truck hits him.
Then Dwi showed me another video he had collected from the internet. One video from the Northern Region showed CCTV footage of two thieves jumping over the front fence. But just a few steps, the two thieves bounced back to hit the fence because hit by an invisible force. Frightened, the two thieves broke up and fled. Another video shows the theft of a motorbike in the Central Area which is also thwarted by an invisible figure that seems to hold the motor so that it can not be run even though it has been maximized.
According to Dwi, Invisible figures that help humans to avoid accidents and also thwart criminal acts began to appear around the past week. People started calling him the Invisible Hero and it is now a hot topic in the city. Although many people deny the truth of the videos. Indeed, humans will not be able to see the figure of a helper in the video. But I could see it, even though it was only a faint red shadow. And I'm sure the Invisible Hero that's electrifying this city is none other than Jin. Which means, there's a Jin other than myself who stays on Earth in this Ramadan Moon.
If there really is another Jin hanging around the city, I have to find him. Maybe the genie can give me an explanation of what I'm going through. But the only clue I have is the videos that Dwi showed me. It's also not all the videos that are stored on his phone. Might as well... It's possible that if I touch the phone and concentrate, I'll be able to see other videos and get additional clues from the small details. As happened with the Neem mobile. But now Dwi keeps the phone in his pants pocket, and I can't just reach into his pants. There will be unnecessary commotion if I do that. So I waited for the right moment to carry out my plan.
It turned out that my wait had to take me to another place, because unlike Wawan and other Youth who ate on the spot, Dwi ordered 3 portions to be wrapped and brought home. After that he said goodbye to his friends and prepared to leave.
"Three packs for who?" Ask Wawan.
"For me, for Ical, the last secret." Dwi replied with a smile.
"Well..." Wawan growled while turning away so recognizing the smile on Dwi's face. "You still go there often?" Ask later in a tone of disbelief.
Dwi was silent for a few seconds before nodding and saying, "Yep!"
Wawan shook his head. "Why?"
Dwi replied with gestures of her fingers held together to form a heart.
Wawan shook his head again to see it. Then he said, "Okay, but be careful, man."
"The situation there is safely under control." Reply Dwi.
"I don't mean be there, but be careful on the road."
"Oh... Yeah, okay. I must be careful."
Wawan's expression became a little more serious when he warned, "The road is getting more crazy. Not just the Jungle's subordinates, but there are many new groups. There's a special group of two-wheelers. If it's not wrong they're called Hunters."
"They've got here?" Ask Dwi.
"It was that bad?"
"Be careful. If there's anything, call me right away." Wawan.
Dwi nodded for the last time and took the bike forward with me sitting behind him.
I recalled the rumors about the Hunters, the group that targeted the members of the Two-wheeled Gang and snatched their attributes. The new hunters appeared about ten days ago and only operated in the Central Region of the city. But it seemed like the group's reputation had risen rapidly since then. And now it's spread out in other areas. Well, not surprisingly. I even thought this would happen. Even so, all this time I have never met these famous Hunters.
The first stop after Bakso Mama is a small rented house painted Red, Yellow, Green which is bright and gives a feel of excitement. Who came out of the house to welcome Dwi who brought a pack of meatballs was a Mie-like curly-haired youth wearing Green T-shirts and pants of the same color. I'm guessing this young man is called Ical. And He was none other than the Youth dressed in a traffic light-like color that came with Dwi to Bakso Mama when I first came to the Warung with Ra-ul and Ri-Ival.
Ical allowed Dwi to enter. But Dwi was surprised to realize there were two other people inside the house. More precisely what surprised him was who the two people were. They were lovers who were also in the Bakso Mama Warung that night. The night Ical and the Youth fight after being pitted against Ra-ul and Ri-val's sheep due to a problem involving the Girl. But tonight they seemed friendly and without splashes of black aura of anger and resentment.
It's almost similar to the reunion between Me, Dwi, Ical, and those lovers. It's just that there's no Ra-ul or Ri-val in this place. They disappeared the night before Ramadan. I still clearly remember how they flickered and exploded in the middle of a big fight with the Bright Jin. I honestly miss them both very much.
"Sorry, I didn't know there were any other guests." Dwi. "I just bought a pack." Continue while handing the meatballs over to Ical.
"It's okay." The girl sitting on the carpet. "We're going too."
Then the Girl got up and approached Ical who was standing near the entrance. He hugged her and said goodbye. Then the Youth also approached Ical and patted him on the shoulder with a goodbye. Afterwards Ical and Dwi accompanied them to the front porch of the house.
"Be careful on the road!" Ical said to the couple before they drove away.
"So... Now you're at peace?" Tanya Dwi was curious.
"Yes. We're friends again now." Answer Ical.
"They cheated on you. You sure you don't have a problem with that?" Ask Dwi again.
"Yes." Yeah." Ical answered with complete confidence on his face. "They fit. Being angry is also useless. Maybe my soul mate is someone else who hasn't come yet."
"Good words!" Said Dwi while embracing her friend's shoulder. "I'm proud, Friend!" Connect with cheer. "But I have to go again." He said after releasing his embrace. "I have a special appointment..." Add it with a smile.
Ical looked at it with his eyes preoccupied and guessed, "Promise with a Beautiful Girl?"
"Beautiful... But not a girl..." Dwi Correction.
"Monkey?"
"Monkey? Who thinks monkeys are beautiful?"
"Monkey man."
Dwi stretched both of her hands on her sides while shaking her head. "I have to go."
"Be careful on the road!" Ical.
"Sure!" Sahut Dwi before advancing his motorbike.
I still hitchhiked behind Dwi all the way to the next stop at a fairly quiet residential complex. It looks like this new housing complex is not yet fully filled and some of its residents are not at home tonight, maybe praying Tarawih in the Mosque, or just a night walk.
Dwi stopped his bike in front of the fence. Then he pulled out his phone and sent a message to someone. Soon the gate was opened by a woman. The beautiful woman who may be in her mid-twenties smiled and asked Dwi to put her bike in after looking around. Once inside, the turnstile is closed again and locked. The woman immediately invited Dwi who brought two packs of meatballs to enter her house.
As soon as Dwi entered and the door was closed, the beautiful woman immediately hooked her fingers to Dwi's fingers that did not carry a bag of meatballs. They stood face to face with a small smile. It doesn't take Jin's special powers to know what's going on in front of me. They like each other. And it doesn't take strength to realize that this woman is married to another man. Looks like I got dragged into a scandal of human infidelity. Damnit damnit!
