Trapped in Ramadhan
Part 8 - One Opponent One

...One Opponent One...

4 Ramadan. Morning time.

I stepped quickly through the door, exited Daisy Room 2, and continued to step into the front yard of the White Cotton Clinic. I was stopped in the parking lot because I saw January and his rock friends talking to Awal and Beni.

"We won't attack each other for a while." Preface Word. "Suppose this is a ceasefire." Reciprocity.

"Tell the other group as well." January Vocabulary. "Nobody attacks our members, especially the ones who are still in school."

"I can't promise that. They have their own minds." Early Sahut while shaking. "But the two victims, they're both from our group. The grudge is on us. So I promise my group won't attack your group. Agreed?" Ask while extending a hand.

January turned to his nodding friend before shaking Early's hand. "Agreed!"

--

I'm more interested in the problems facing January. The young man had been accused of a stabbing he did not commit while intending to avenge his friend who was being treated, but he was not even allowed to see his friend when he came to the Clinic. So, after they split up and left the Clinic, I followed her in January until she stopped in front of the blue-painted house after parting ways with her big friend whom she called Dodo. The blue painted house is the type of house that is usually owned by middle class humans. As I approached the window to follow January into the house, I was shocked to see the old man sitting on the chair in the living room. That man is the visually impaired old man I met this morning in the park.

Just as the Youth I was whispering in the Pawuran field was connected to the Two-wheeled Gang and the stabbing this morning. So did the Blood-filled Youth I saw in my vision connect with the Girl I saw in the other vision and the other Youth wearing the logo of the Two-wheeled Gang. Like the bespectacled girl who eavesdropped on the conversation Early connected with a friend of January who was a victim of the brawl in the field. January is also connected to the old man who can feel my presence and hear me. Everything is connected to each other.

The old man played down the radio and spoke to him in January. After exchanging a few questions, January paid a farewell to the old man whom he called Grandpa to take a bath. After January disappeared into another room, the old man grabbed his wand and started walking to the front door. He was sitting on a chair on the terrace near me.

"So, Young man... You actually know my granddaughter or you purposely stalked me here?" Ask the old man.

"Don't be too confident, old man." My reply.

"So you know my granddaughter?"

"You could say so."

Well, actually I just met up with January today. Because I didn't recognize him in the field brawl. And I'm still not sure about this old man. I don't know if he thinks of me as human or if I'm not human.

"Oh, yeah.." Said the old man while the mangosteen. "You're involved in my granddaughter's problem too?"

"You know the problem?" I asked back.

"Me?" Said the old man. "What do parents like me know? How am I supposed to know the same problem that's been in this neighborhood for so long? Dispute with the neighborhood? I don't think I've heard of that."

"I'm just asking, old man." My heart is lazy. "Can you not answer every question with sarcasm?"

"What does this question include?"

"I'm pulling back my question."

"This one, or the one before?"

"Questions I want to ask now."

"Huh?" Screeched the old man. Then he remained silent for quite a while. Me too, none of us spoke until January out of the house wearing full school clothes and shoes and backpacks.

After his grandson kissed the back of his hand and said goodbye, the old man asked, "Jan, do you have any new problems?"

Januar's face instantly turned uncomfortable as she replied, "Yes. But the problem is over." Even his own voice sounded unsure.

In a soft tone, the old man said, "If there is a problem, tell someone else, do not hold your own. But.."

"If it can be solved on its own, don't drag others into the problem." Sambar January. "I know, Cake. I'm going to school first." After saying that, January went riding his bike.

"Maybe he said so. But the problem isn't over yet, old man." I opened my voice after the motor was no longer heard. Then I told you what happened to the old man. About the brawl in the field and in the empty house this morning. Two victims were treated at the same clinic. January who was rejected when he visited his friend. And Penusuk who is a member of the Two-wheeled Gang.

"They should unite to attack the Two-wheeled Gang who pitted against them." I said at the end of the story.

"They don't know for sure if they're in a sheep fight." Said the old man. Then he went on, "My grandson probably knew the piercer was a two-wheeler, but he didn't see his face. Just like a group from a neighboring neighborhood. My granddaughter also knows the danger of that motorcycle gang. After all just because they have the same enemy does not mean that their enmity is over. The hatred that exists in teenagers in this environment in the neighboring environment has been formed since they were younger. Implanted by their senior generation which was also passed down from the previous generation. That much hatred can't be taken for granted."

"On this issue. The more barbaric one was the Motorcycle Gang. Their members are even ready to kill." Said the old man while tightly grasping his cane. "This environment is bad enough without people intent on killing each other. I can't believe that the motorcycle gang is now scattered around every corner of the city. At first, they were just four."

"Five!" I'm correcting. "The four of them, but they respect their deceased friend and consider him a fifth member."

"Where do you know that?"

Wait, what? How do I know that? I even just heard the name of the Two-Wheeled Gang a few days ago. How could I possibly know about the beginnings of their formation? Why did that information just get into my head? I need a diversion..

"Where's your granddaughter, old man?" My toot.

"SMK State 1." Answer the old man.

"All right, I'm leaving." My words then ran away from the blind old man who was sitting alone on the chair on the porch of his house.

--

When I arrived at SMK Negeri 1, I immediately went around looking for January. I found it as I sensed the black aura near me and moved towards the source. The black aura came from some students who were arguing with other students at the door of one of the classrooms that was plastered with the words "Class XII.A." As I approached, I saw that an upset January was dealing with Awal. Among the few students who were there, I recognized Dodo as his friend January, and also Beni as his friend Awal. They are hostile, from two different neighborhoods, but the school in the same SMK. They're all related.

"You promised your group you wouldn't attack us!" January was full of anger.

"I know." Preface Word. "But Feri said it was a personal matter, it had nothing to do with the agreement between our groups."

Just then a memory piece from Awal and a few other students came into my head. The source of the problem is that one of Awal's friends named Feri beat up one of the students from the January group because he was not happy that the girl he liked was seduced by the student. At first glance, it seems like a personal matter. But when the memory piece from the Youth named Feri who was also there entered my head along with its black aura, I could feel the emotion that prompted him to do that. Revenge for his friend who was stabbed this morning.

"So, you don't think it's a problem for your friend to attack my friend because of personal problems?" Asked Januar who was looking down while staring intently at the start that was shorter than him.

"Well, what's the point of a peace treaty?" Ask one of my friends in January.

"Cancel that!" Excited the others. Followed the hateful agreed cheers of his friends.

Early friends also reply with insults and insults. The situation was getting heated up, emotions were increasing as their black aura grew. But two of them remained calm. January and Early. Two leaders. They both think they are responsible for solving problems between their groups. The two of them did not want to clash any further. They don't want any of their friends to get hurt anymore.

Ra-ul once said Jin can't just whisper a human into doing anything bad. They must understand human emotions to direct them appropriately. And I think I know where to go in this conflict. It is time to provide a solution.

I approached her in January and whispered, "Take her one on one!"

"You and me. One on one." The word January followed my whisper.

I don't need to whisper Early to accept it. So, that morning they agreed on something a second time.

Nightly.

I just watched the prayer man at Al-Alim Mosque in the west. Hope to get a little quiet. But after they finished the Isya Prayer, I immediately ran to near the city center. In the neighborhood where the houses are deserted because the residents are many who pray Tarawih in the Mosque, there is an empty house that has long been abandoned. In it, the two leaders of a small group that engaged the big brawl in the field prepared to solve their problems.

In the same spot as the clash earlier this morning, Awal accepted the January challenge of fighting one-on-one. Other than them there are only the friends they trust the most, Beni and Dodo. They were both witnesses to this fight.

"This is the last one!" January Vocabulary.

"This is the last one!" Reset Early.

They are third grade SMK. Final years. The two of them will fight until one of them loses. Whoever wins and loses they promise to never again attack each other's group. They were still free to clash with other groups from their two neighborhoods, but did not attack each other. That's deal.

I decided to just look and not pick sides. So I just kept quiet as the black aura was emanating from January and Early. January who advanced first and leaped high with the left arch raised parallel to the chest Early who held back by crossing his hands and deliberately took a step back. After the first attack was arrested, he quickly launched his right fist that hit Awal's face. But the left fist of January was successfully avoided Early by moving backwards. A follow-up attack in January in the form of a kick that leads directly to the side of the head also managed to be held by the Early left hand.

Early retaliate with two punches like a boxer. Jab followed the right Hook who hit the face in January. Continued strong blow that hit the stomach. Then Awal grabbed January's shoulder and beat him in the stomach several times, until January retaliated by hitting Awal's face with his left fist. Afterwards January grabs Early's shoulder and pulls it down and slams into his stomach with his hunch twice in quick motion. In the third movement, Awal held back with his right hand and hit his side stomach in January. But January survives the attack, moves one of his legs to the back of Early's legs, then scuts and slams him to the broken floor.

January restrains Early's right arm with his left hand as he smashes the right fist. But Awal managed to hold back with his left hand which caught the January fist and gripped firmly with his fingers. Early's right arm also grabbed and gripped the arm of January holding him back. By the time they stopped attacking each other, I could see a fragment of their memory.

I saw a younger version of themselves, when they were still Junior High School Students. They're in the same class. I saw them shootout, playing on the same football team during sports lessons, being punished in front of the class with other students, he said, and I saw Awal cheat on January sitting behind him on the school exam. I saw the past of both of them. Before hating each other and fighting often, they used to be friends. Good fella.
