Suspicion of Diao Chan

Li Hao got so many thanks from the residents, that he finally decided to go back inside the house because his head started to hurt.

"They were overstated in saying thank you..." Li Hao shook his head slowly.

"They're not overdoing it, if you're not around - maybe most of them have already been killed by those bandits." Diao Chan responded, and was taken in agreement by Wei Han.

Li Hao only smiled faintly and then his eyes turned to the beautiful woman's right hand, "Your hand... Is it having a serious impact?"

"No, this is just a regular broken wound. I've already consumed some healing pills, it should be that this wound will heal over the next few weeks." Diao Chan smiled faintly as he answered her.

"Thank God..." Li Hao smiled.

The silent atmosphere after the conversation ended, until finally Li Hao opened his voice, "I... Apologize." Li Hao said in a soft voice, "I should have been by your two sides when the bandits attacked the village, but..."

Li Hao did not say much and did what Diao Chan wanted, both of them sitting on chairs in the living room of the house.

"First question, what did you do after leaving the two of us at that grandmother's clothing store?"

"Looks like you suspected me of something."

"Just answer my question, Li Hao."

"All right..." Li Hao paused for a moment before answering the question, "I went outside the village to practice."

"Practiced?"

"Why did you do it outside the village?"

Li Hao said in a soft voice, then did some sword technique moves that Diao Chan often did while killing beasts.

"W-how..." Diao Chan had a hard time expressing his feelings at this moment, he looked at Li Hao with an assortment of gazes.

"Regular... Your aunt is angry for a trivial reason." Li Hao ended his words with a chuckle, "By the way, why did you change our nicknames?"

"Ah, that..." Wei Han scratched his non-itchy head and smiled shyly, "Since the incident of the bandit attack, I've already considered the two of you as my family. I'm grateful to have met my uncle and aunt after losing my loved ones."

Wei Han simply nodded and walked away from the house.

After seeing the little boy leave, Li Hao immediately opened the notification screen and found his mission a success.

Li Hao was not too surprised and then opened his inventory, there he found one of the inventory slots filled with a red egg that had a fish-like pattern of scales.

"The Legend-level Beast Egg, huh?" Li Hao smiled faintly, he was currently more amazed at his 'System', "Giving this kind of extraordinary gift, the existence of the system is truly beyond reason."
