Trapped In The Cultivator World

Trapped In The Cultivator World
Get out of the Dungeon

Shortly after Li Hao had killed Dam Yuen, a notification system appeared and informed him that the mission had been successfully completed. Seeing that of course made him happy, he opened the status screen and found his previous level at 218 has now become 248.

"My hard work finally paid off, too..." Li Hao smiled faintly, then turned his gaze towards the portal that had not disappeared from the moment, "I had a glimpse of the portal changing color, which was once blood red now becoming silver."

Li Hao paused for a moment after saying so, considering that the portal that Dam Yuen had exited made him quite hesitant. Moreover, the person said that he was sealed in a pitch-black place.

"Before entering that portal, I better check all sides of this place. If there is no other portal, it means that it is the only way out of this dungeon." Li Hao muttered, then went down every floor that was there.

It didn't take long for Li Hao to do so, and after examining him he found absolutely no portal other than the one on the fifth floor.

"It seems true that this portal is the exit of the dungeon." Li Hao said as he looked at the silver portal that was right in front of him, "Haa... I hope I'm not wrong."

Li Hao entered the portal and a bright light blinded his eyes for a moment. After regaining his sight, he finds himself already by the beach.

"I thought I'd be moved to the same location before going to the dungeon..." Li Hao muttered while looking at the surroundings, then raised his head and looked at the afternoon sky.

The calm atmosphere accompanied by the cool breeze made Li Hao quiet in place for a few minutes, he then re-circulated his gaze and found a village not too far from the beach.

The village was over a kilometer away and it seemed to be a small village that had no guard or anything like that. Li Hao immediately decided to stop by the village, his goal was to find information as well as get a place to stay for a while.

Li Hao took off his mask he had been wearing while inside the dungeon, he did not want his appearance to make anyone in the village suspicious.

After storing his mask into the inventory, Li Hao immediately walked leisurely towards the village. It took less than ten minutes for him to get there, his presence which is a stranger immediately became the center of attention of residents who are still on the move outside the home.

Li Hao did not care about the gazes from them, he approached one of the old geezers with a gentle smile and asked the location of this village.

"Young man, this village is a nameless village that is in the territory of the Holy Lake sect." the old man replied, his voice stammered because his physique was already quite fragile.

"If it is still within the territory of the Sacred Lake sect, it means that the city of Qibao is not too far away from here."

"Yes... Qibao City was roughly seven kilometers away from here." the old man said as he pointed in one direction after accidentally hearing Li Hao say, "Do you want to go there, young man?"

"Ah, no..." Li Hao shook his head lightly, "I'm heading somewhere else right now."

"That's great. Qibao City is currently in a sensitive state since the incident that occurred a few days ago..."

"Insiden...?" Li Hao put on an expression as if he had just heard it, "Can grandfather tell him any further?"

"If you want to find out, of course grandfather will tell you. However, it was getting darker and darker so we better go to the house first." said the old man, then asked, "You came here to find an inn, didn't you? But this village has no such thing, so stay one night at grandfather's house."

"Isn't it dangerous to ask a stranger to stay?" Li Hao asked, he felt bad because they had just met.

"Grandfather knows that you're not that person, the smile you showed earlier looks sincere." the old man replied, then stepped towards the hut house not far from there, "Let's follow grandpa..."

Li Hao actually wanted to refuse but considering that he needed a place to stay for a while so he followed the old man.

The two of them entered the hut house not far from there, then the old grandfather allowed Li Hao to sit on the floor of the living room which was very small in size.

"Do you want a drink, young man?"

Before sitting with Li Hao on the floor, the old grandfather asked him.

Li Hao shook his head slightly and replied, "No need, Cake. I have enough water."

Li Hao slightly widened his eyes before exhaling slowly through his mouth, he clearly felt guilty because of that the old man had to sacrifice his life.

"But how did Grandpa know? Isn't this village far enough from the city? It hasn't even been a week..." Li Hao immediately asked for a moment after thinking that.

"It was because the Sacred Lake sect directly scattered its members to search for clues regarding the black flow that attacked Qibao city, and some of their members were there who came to this village."

"Oh, yeah..." Li Hao nodded in understanding, "Are they still in this village?"

The old man nodded immediately, then told them that they were now staying at the village chief's residence.

Li Hao who heard that did not ask any further, but he had to be careful of them so as not to be suspected and create more troublesome problems.

"By the way, where are you headed?" the old grandfather asked after a momentary silence enveloped them.

"Ah, I want to go to the Otherworldly Cave. Did grandpa know that?"

"An Other World Cave? Unfortunately grandfather did not know of such a thing." the old man shook his head lightly, "Since birth until now grandfather has always lived in this village and rarely went outside the village, grandfather's knowledge of the world was very limited because there were no facilities like libraries. Even grandfather only learned of the existence of cultivators when he was only 30."

"Did grandfather ever get upset living a life like this?"

"Haha... No, not at all. After knowing the existence of cultivators and their easy nature of killing their fellows, grandfather was grateful for not being a part of them." the old man smiled, "Living in the village doesn't mean being unhappy, it doesn't mean being unhappy, even according to grandfather it was better to live like this than to be a cultivator."

Li Hao agreed with that opinion, living on the path of a cultivator was definitely much more difficult than living life as an ordinary human.

"By the way, is grandpa living with someone?" Li Hao asked because he felt the presence of others since he entered the hut house.

"How did you know that?"

"Seeing there are some items that are female accessories, I just tried to guess." Li Hao replied as he stared at some of the items there.

"You're right, there's grandfather's granddaughter resting in that room. It's been a week since he started getting a fever, grandpa can't do much because there's no healer in this village."

"Fever?" Li Hao slightly raised his brows, "It just so happens that I have a healing pill, maybe it can heal grandfather's granddaughter."

"Healing pills...? Young man, are you a cultivator?"

"Yes, I'm a wandering cultivator."

"Ah, are you angry with grandfather's earlier remark?"

"Absolutely not, Cake. Grandpa's words are true..." Li Hao smiled faintly, and the grandfather was also relieved to hear that.

"If you don't mind giving the pill away without wanting anything in return, grandfather is happy to receive it to heal the grandson."

Li Hao certainly did not feel any objection because he could say he did not really need any more healing pills. He then asked the grandfather to drive him into the only room in the hut house.
