Chapters 30. Requesting Permission

Benjamin Alexander's family has gathered at the dinner table. Louisa has even become acquainted with Diana, the wife of Jared.

Louisa still did not think she was in the middle of a family that was so warm and full of kindness. The girl had not realized that she was currently in the midst of the ruthless mafia.

"So what are you gonna talk to us about, Son?" tanya Ben started the conversation after they finished lunch.

"Ehm, I'm going to marry Louisa this week, Dad. I ask for your blessing, all of you" said Jack. Of course it makes Louisa downcast embarrassed. While Giani sparkled happy.

"Faster is better, Jack. Mommy agrees you're getting married. It's not good to be dating for too long. Moreover, you and Louisa live together in one house. Don't let you get my daughter-in-law pregnant before you marry her."

Louisa and Jack just throw glances at each other when they hear Giani's last words. Giani frowned at the behavior of his son.

"Don't tell me you've done it?" tanya Giani put on a beavering face.

"Oh come on, Mom. What era are we living in? Such a thing is natural. That's why I want to marry Louisa. One reason is because we already ...."

Giani instantly massaged his throbbing temple. How could his son so casually say such a thing in front of his sisters.

"Already, Honey. Our son must know what to do. Don't think too much about your son. He was old enough to decide everything he thought was good for him to do. You better think about your health, because soon we're gonna have a party for our son" Ben said.

Giani took a long breath. She no longer spoke and chose to obey her husband. Jack smiled seductively and rubbed his mother's hand as if giving her tranquility. Louisa was just scared. He really did not dare to look at the face of his future mother-in-law at this time.

After lunch together, Jack, Jared and his father break into his father's study. They're gonna talk about the assault that Jack did a while ago.

Louisa was forced to choose to go to the room, because she still did not dare to face her future mother-in-law again because of Jack's confession earlier. To be honest Louisa was afraid if she was labeled as having a bad influence on Jack.

When Louisa had just changed clothes, the door to her room was knocked from the outside. Louisa opened the door immediately. He smiled to find Josceline in front of him and smiled sweetly.

"Am I interrupting, brother?"

"No, Celine. Come inside!"

"What's up, Celine?"

"I just want to get to know my sister more closely. Yesterday in San Francisco we met for a little while. So I want to know about brother."

"What do you want to know?" Louisa smiled gently at Celine.

"Why do you like my brother?"

"Because he's good."

"That's all?" Celine raised her eyebrows in disbelief.

"Yes, it all started with your brother's kindness. He sincerely helped me selflessly."

"Are you sure? He's the most calculating man in our family. It's possible that his intention was to help you because he wanted to ensnare you."

"If so he has succeeded," Louisa replied lightly. Celine nodded her head, it seemed like her sister-in-law's candidate was already acutely pregnant with her brother.

"You don't want to go outside? Mommy might still be curious about you," asked Celine. Louisa looked down with a red face.

"Actually I want to, but I'm ashamed."

"Thy? Why?"

"That's because your brother spoke so carelessly earlier. I don't have a face in front of your mommy."

"Sister-in-law, just calm down. Mommy didn't take it seriously. And anyway, it's not embarrassing. My sister is serious about marrying you. So there's no need to be ashamed of Mom. Let's go out, brother-in-law!" Celine pulled Louisa's hand to stand up from where she was sitting. With a heavy heart Louisa finally obeyed Celine's words.
