Chapter 8. Advice from Jack

Zeus Headquarters

"Are you guys too tol*l so you can't just catch a scared girl?"

"Ma_af, Sir."

"I don't want to know dad, I want the girl, they have to be able to catch her" Lucas said.

"Calm down, Luc. Daddy's sure we'll find him soon enough."

"Give all our men to comb the building, Dad. I don't want him to leave" Lucas continued.

"Daddy is doing it, Luc. Do you want daddy to get a woman ready for you?"

"Of course, Dad."

Lucas left Zeus' room. While the men who were in charge of capturing Louisa are still down waiting for the next order. They did not dare to raise their heads, especially there was Lucas who could at any time behead them just for not being able to catch the hunted girl.

"You go and find the girl until you can."

"Good, Sir."

Zeus' men rushed out of the creepy room. Zeus tapped his finger. Where did the girl go? However, just as he was seriously thinking, suddenly a female voice screamed. Zeus shook his head at his son's crazy behavior.

"I have to find the girl before Lucas gets any crazier."

Meanwhile, Louisa and Jack are currently enjoying breakfast at a bakery, sitting on the store's veranda sipping a cup of coffee and hot chocolate. Louisa eats while daydreaming. Jack occasionally glanced at the girl.

"What are you thinking?" ask Jack to wonder. Louisa turned her head and smiled awkwardly.

"I was just thinking, is it for those people, my life is like a joke."

"May I give you some advice?" Jack looked at Louisa seriously. The beautiful girl nodded.

"Of course."

"Look, if you feel your life is unfair it's normal, but you should also be grateful that you still have the opportunity to live and change yourself. At least you should try to fix your life so you don't have any regrets. I'm sure you can Louisa. Show the people who look you one eye, if you can survive and be strong in the storm that is taking you by."

"Thankyou, Jack. I'll change from now on. They will regret underestimating me."

"Good, I love your spirit. Now go in and pick some bread to accompany our journey." Jack handed Louisa 2 bills. The girl accepted it without hesitation. Louisa ordered a few slices of bread and also bought a few packs of coffee and chocolate.

"Jack, where are you from?"

"I'm from Australia."

"Are you not working, Jack? Sorry if I was curious. Because since yesterday I've been bothering you, I'm afraid to interfere with your work?"

"I work freelance. You don't have to worry."

"Is there no vacancy for me?"

"Do you want to work like me?"

"Yes, at least I should start getting up and looking for a job. I can't possibly trouble you forever."

"That's no problem for me. Oh, ja. What if you change your appearance for a while. Well, we don't know how vast Zeus' domain was. It'll be safer if you change your appearance."

"I don't have a problem."

"Alright, we'll stop by first to change your appearance so that it's not easy to recognize."

Jack stopped in Monterey. He walked into a dress shop that wasn't too big to buy some shirts and t-shirts. He thought about turning Louisa into a man for a while. Louisa's not coming down because she's still asleep. Jack also could not bear to wake Louisa.

After getting what he wants, Jack goes into a cafe and orders a cup of coffee. Jack smokes a cigarette as Louisa comes down and circulates her gaze. Jack waved his hand, Louisa smiled widely as she looked at Jack. For a moment Jack's eyes were glued to see the beauty of the girl.

Louisa sat down to Jack. Jack continued to smoke his cigarette while watching Louisa's face.

"What's wrong?" is there something on my face?" ask Louisa. Jack nodded and smiled.

"Easily Lucas keeps coming after you, you're beautiful" Jack said bluntly. Louisa's face immediately flushed.

"Thank you for the compliment."

"Take that paperbag. It's a shirt and pants. During the journey you have to look like a man."

"All right, it doesn't matter. I don't want to look flashy either."

Jack smiled again. They went back on their journey. Jack prefers to take the highway because he likes to see the sea even though the distance is getting longer and quite far.
