Chapter 40. Pregnant

"It's best according to my advice, Mr. Jack. You should take your wife to check in with an obstetrician." The doctor who was on Jack's phone immediately advised Jack to check Louisa's condition to the obstetrician. He checked Louisa's condition. His blood pressure was very low and the Doctor did not dare to prescribe just anyone. She worries that Louisa's current condition is triggered by pregnancy.

"alright. Thank you, Doctor."

After driving the doctor to the front door, Jack immediately returned to the room. He asked his driver to prepare the car. Jack rubbed Louisa's cheek gently.

"Darling, we're going to the hospital, huh?" said Jack. Louisa opened her eyes that looked beautiful.

"My head hurts, Honey."

"Yes, we'll tell the doctor. So you're given medicine."

Louisa nodded, Jack then lifted Louisa's body and took her out of the room. They finally started to leave the mansion heading to the hospital.

During the trip Louisa leaned on Jack's shoulder. The man clasped Louisa's hand and occasionally kissed the back of her hand.

"Am I seriously ill? Why do we have to go to the hospital?"

"No. You're okay, honey. It's just the doctor's prediction that you're pregnant."

Louisa straightened her seat and looked at Jack with a complicated look.

"What did you say?"

"There's a chance you're pregnant, baby," Jack said with a face.

"You're not lying to me, are you?"

"Of course not, honey, but this is only a possibility from the Doctor."

"Hmm, it seems like what the doctor said is true, Honey. I forgot to tell you that I haven't had my menstrual cycle for a long time."

"Oh my .. Why don't you say, honey."

"Come, Honey. I'm just good at operating computers and concocting like a scientist. I have no experience with pregnancy" Jack said. Louisa turned her lips to hear her husband's answer.

Upon arrival at the hospital, Jack immediately enrolls Louisa in an obstetrician. Lucky day is enough noon so the queue is not too long.

"You want me to buy you something?" ask Jack.

"No, I'm not hungry yet."

"Well if so. If you want something to tell me later."

"Yes, my dear husband."

Louisa's name was called shortly. Jack and Louisa sit in front of a female doctor who is about 40 years old.

"Good day, ladies and gentlemen. What can I help you with?"

"Look at the doctor, my wife passed out. When my family doctor checked, the tension was very low. And the doctor said there was a chance my wife might get pregnant. I just want to make sure of it."

The doctor named Serina smiled gently. "All right, let's check. Meaning you've never worn a tespeck at all?"

Both Jack and Louisa shook their heads. The doctor smiled and asked Louisa to lie down in the gurney. He's gonna do an ultrasound on Louisa's stomach.

Jack looked seriously at the monitor screen. When Louisa's stomach was given gel, doctors began to move the probe over Louisa's stomach surface. Before long appeared a black and gray image on that screen. Jack looked carefully. He smiled as he looked at the black dot on that screen. She knows that Louisa is really pregnant.

Jack is like returning to the past where he and his brother invited the mother to check the contents. The feeling feels the same. Just his euphoria was a little other since this was his own flesh blood. His hard work with his wife.

"This is the fetus already visible. Her age is 9 weeks. Congratulations to you guys."
