Under Sun
29. And Then He got You

In fact, Greater Sudbury is a great city. The given atmosphere is able to make Jea— at least a little more comfortable, although his mind is not able to dispel the figure of the man to stop accompanying every night he has.

For the first time, Jea learns to communicate with the alien humans she encounters around her current neighborhood. Thanks to Jisung's help, Jea was able to rent one of the small houses on the outskirts of the city that was not too crowded and could also find a job at one of the flower shops of her friend Jisung's acquaintance.

The woman was really facing everything alone. Socialize, overcome his nightmares when the night changes again, also the gray mind of Jeffrey.

It's been almost three months since he left Toronto with all his memories. Jea no longer knows or just looking for a little information about how Jeffrey is doing at this time.

He prefers not to care and does not need to take care of the man's life anymore.

Even though almost every morning until now, Jea always woke up with a dry tear on her cheek.

"Jea?"

The girl who was now watering the flower pot while half daydreaming then leaned back and turned to the origin of the voice that had just called her name.

Her forehead creased as Jea found a young man smiling broadly at her, "Mark?"

"Not seen in a long time. How you doing?" Mark walked slowly towards the perkarangan girl's house, then gasped when looking at the flowers lined up neatly decorate the perkarangan house.

"Well, how's Mark?" Jea smiled as a man who used to be his conversation partner came back and greeted him.

"I'm good's. Why are you here yourself? Isn't your home in Toronto?" Mark asked slightly in surprise, making Jea instantly stop the flush.

"Ah, Jea has moved here. Mark why is he in Sudbury?"

Mark sniffed his shoulders short, "Well, I've resigned from the federal agency and moved to Virginia. But I stopped by here first, wanted to see my girlfriend," Mark seemed to chuckle a little when he mentioned his last words.

Jea nodded in understanding, "You want to go in first?"

Without further ado, Mark agreed with a nod and a wide grin. Then Jea walked back into his house, accompanied by Mark's steps trailing behind him.

Mark's gaze spread throughout. I looked in admiration at the woman's house. Although small, every content of the room in it looks so neat and arranged so symmetrical; so that makes the whole eye feel good looking at it.

"Mark wants to drink what?" Jea asked who had switched to tying her hair high, exposing her thin and pale neck.

Whether it's just the man's feelings or how, since their last meeting, Jea looks thinner and not as healthy as before. Ah, I don't know.

"As far as you are."

Jea nodded and then moved from her place. While Mark chose to sit on one of the wooden chairs of the living room.

At least, Jea lives in a comfortable place. So thought the man.

In just five minutes, Jea returned from behind, and placed a glass of cold apple juice on the table.

"Thanks. And, oh yeah, Jea."

The girl slightly raised both eyebrows, hinting at a question as to why Mark called her name.

His eyes met again on Jea's when Mark decided to reopen his voice, "Omong by the way, you know how Jaehyun is doing? Ah, that means— Jeffrey?"

If Jea is currently holding a cup or— whatever it is, it is certain that the item will fall out of his hands. Jea was too shocked to the point that she could not control her expression back.

Hearing a name that had not been bounced into his sense of hearing made Jea again remember the figure clearly.

"Sorry, are you surprised?" Mark asked back, this time a little more carefully.

A forced smile stuck on the woman's face. As much as possible he shook his head, "No problem."

Mark could only breathe out softly when he realized how devastated the girl would be as Jeffrey. It is undeniable, considering that Mark can read the meaning of a person's countenance so easily.

"Do you know that Jeffrey isn't in Toronto anymore?"

I don't know how many questions Mark asked Jea. But even though, the girl still tried to smile in response, "Jea doesn't know at all."

The young man turned to grab the juice glass plastered in front of him, then sipped it little by little, "He was transferred to Virginia."

Been transferred? Instantly Jea again knitted her brows in confusion. Does the meaning of the word relate to Jeffrey's duties at the police center? Because of how soon, it is very natural for military officers to move from one area to another.

"Not because of police duties" Mark added, as if he could read the heart of the girl before him.

"Then?"

"Jeffrey is being medically rehabilitated by the Central Intelligence Agency in Virginia. But, actually rather than calling it rehabilitation, he is more suitable to be called a prisoner. It was all his father did. Do you know Jeffrey's father was one of the political elites of the Soviet Union?" Obviously Mark again who just put the juice back.

Like a big stone, Jea was not able to cover her shock— either for the success of today.

"... Whatchu mean? Wait," Jea rubbed her face slowly, trying to digest all the words that had just come out of the man's mouth.

How can this be real? Until now, Jea had only learned that Jeffrey's father was one of the political elites of the Soviet Union. If it needs to be underlined, it is the Soviet Union, one of the superpower countries that holds high sovereignty at the world level.

"I know you must be shocked, but I think you should know this fact."

Jea looked up at his head, re-connecting his eye contact with Mark who could only look at him inappropriately, "Why can Jeffrey be rehabilitated? Is it because of his double personality disease?"

Of course the woman was shocked, however knowing the fact that Jeffrey's multiple personality mental illness that could be revealed even to the ears of his own father made Jea speechless.

All she wants now is to meet Jeffrey. He really wants to know how Jeffrey is doing right now.

But the next words that Mark uttered were able to make Jea almost lose her mind at that moment.

"Double personality?" Mark smiling slanted— in disbelief.

"So you're one of the victims of Jeffrey's false scenario about his double personality?"
