...Happy Reading's...🌹🌹🌹...
Saturdays.
Today Nadya is back from Semarang. He said the plane landed in Soetta around four in the afternoon. We also agreed that I would pick him up, so he didn't come home in a company car.
If asked how happy I am now, be happy. I haven't seen Nadya in nearly three days, and I've been missing her.
Five minutes waiting at the arrival terminal, I saw him far away.
That face...
The face of happiness that I have missed for five years, why rise beside others?
It wasn't just Nadya that I saw happy, but the person standing next to her, Hansel. Yeah, the same Hansel who screwed me a few years ago to the point of going insane, why would he stand next to the woman I care about the most?
My blood froze and boiled quickly, when I saw Nadya's warm gaze on Hansel. One question that urged me to rebel and stir up emotions in myself, why not me? Why isn't that look for me? Did Nadya never think of me as anything, despite living together all this time?
The distance began to erode, and I could feel the change in Nadya's expression and aura when I saw her. Cold, and foreign. Why so?
I waved my hand so that he would see where I was. I forced my lips to pin a warmest smile, even though I knew it wouldn't work for Nadya. Should I act like usual? Pretending to be okay?
Maybe that's the most true. All right, take the best possible role so that Nadya stays by my side.
“Hay.” my handkerchief when Nadya stands within a radius not far from me. Still with Hansel, the guy I was worried about would take Nadya away from me.
Nadya smiled, though stiff. God, why am I happy even though there is no sincerity at all in that smile. It was so different when the lips smiled at someone else that it made me want to smash the man's face in a single blow. But I can't do that right now, at least he doesn't bother me.
“Udah long?” nadya asked to make sure. Then I grabbed the suitcase from his hand, pulled it into a hug, and kissed it on the top of his head.
“Neither.”
After giving up longing, without further ado or intending to hide anything, I reached out and smiled towards Hansel, greeting him as an old comrade between senior and junior. “Hai, mas. It turns out my guess was not wrong. Hansel said that Nadya was you.” I said a little kagok. Yes understand it, he and I have been in a bad position in the past. However, I still tried to reconcile, forget everything she had done to me, and act like nothing had ever happened.
“Oh, Hi also Gas. Didn't think that you're Nadya.”'s husband she said, stale. “No view. You never attended a college reunion?”
I smiled at the end of my lips. What am I coming for? To make me re-remember old memories that rot in my brain?
“Ah, yes. I'm busy, man. I don't like shows like that either.”
“Padahan, said Nadya you are a manager at the Bank right? There should be a lot of socialization, who knows a new relationship? Yes no?”
I glanced at Nadya. Though not even a month they know, but Hansel already know my position and job. That was how close they were until Nadya Meu opened up to someone else she had just met. As far as I know, Nadya is quite difficult to believe in people she does not really know.
“Not everyone can freely gather with others.” my sarcasm sharply responds to Hansel's clumsiness which is not at all pleasant to me.
I know, he said that just because there was Nadya among us. I swear, seeing Hansel in front of me, was like having dejavu. I was kind of thrown into the past, and I was once again forced to see how he started it all, again.
Nadja. I'm afraid that until she's as far away as I've ever been. I don't want to, if Hansel takes what's mine again. Yes, Nadya is mine and I will not let go, whenever it will not happen. Quite a long time ago, which has become a past and a pain for me.
“Yuk, go home.” invite me, do not want to linger feeling the awkward atmosphere between me and Hansel. Nadya nodded in agreement, then said goodbye to Hansel with a flat face like Nadya usually responded differently by Hansel. Shi*t!! He's still as annoying as he used to be.
“Be careful yes, Nad.”
“Do not forget to drive yes, bro.” the message while patting my right arm snobs familiar.
“Without you telling me, I know what I have to do. Excuse me.” pamitku while pulling Nadya's bag and walk leaving Nadya who is still stuck where she stands. There will be many arguments that Nadya will present to me, later. I don't care. Most importantly, I was able to get away from the figure of Hansel who wanted to force and pull me back into the valley of pain I had experienced, unbeknownst to Nadya. I hid my darkest side of that one.
Arriving at the car, I opened the trunk and put Nadya's suitcase there. Closing quickly and passing Nadya without saying anything. I swear, seeing them can be as comfortable as that, make my mood as if swung away, then fall into a muddy abyss that I myself cannot afford to get out of there.
I sat behind the wheel of the car, put on the seatbelt, and started the engine. Then Nadya came in with a stiff face and a manyun lips, maybe her mood was bad because of me. I'm sorry I can't make you smile like that, Nad. Excuse me...
“You why is it the same as my boss?” asked Nadya ketus who I did not gubris at all and chose to drive the car out of the parking area. “Gas, I'm talking to you.”
“Iya.”
“Iya?”
I let out a breath. By force, I have to lower my ego so that Nadya does not get worse. “He was right Hansel I meant when it was Nad.”
“Ya, so why?”
I turned my head, quite surprised by the high tone Nadya had chosen to convey her question.
“I can give you monthly money without you having to work.”
One ultimatum I gave so that Nadya understood my intention and purpose in saying that. I just don't want Nadya to fall into Hansel's hands.
“You why the hell?!” tanya Nadya seemed to start to be provoked by emotions. He did not like it if I interfered, especially to the point of forbidding him to work. Because for Nadya, she has done her duty as a wife, and I am obliged to give her some leeway to move, not to restrain her and tell her to stay home until gray.
“Please. You don't know what I'm afraid of, Nad. I'm just asking you, please stop working from there. Find another job.” sahutku pitched no less high.
But what I heard next, made all my patience at the end. “Ngak. I won't stop there.”
I pulled the car over the shoulder of the road. My eyes looked straight empty ahead. My ten fingers crammed into the steering wheel of the car, then I glanced at our wedding ring which for five years had never escaped my ring finger.
“Jujur—” I paused, taking a breath big enough for my lungs to survive when I expressed my painful heartache. “I don't like you with Hansel.”
Nadya clucked, shook her head, then smiled sarcastically as she looked at me. As for me, only interested in staring at Nadya's silhouette from the tail of the eye.
“Decks? Gas, we're working partners. So it's only natural that we deket. Work demands us like that.”
“Yes. I know, because I also work in a field that is not much different from you, Nad.” said me in a low tone. I'm frustrated. “But, I saw a sincere smile from my old Nadya, when you were next to her. A smile that you have never given to me, since we decided to get married.”. I slowly turned towards Nadya. “Because of that, I'm afraid and want you away from him.”
“Gas—”
“You look comfortable nearby, Nad. And I don't like.”
“Gas, I—”
“Ah. Never mind. What am I talking about?!” cut me off quickly before Nadya continues her words. What do I expect from behaving like that? Did Nadya get back to me? It's bullshit! Even Nadya had no intention of realizing what I expected of her.
I pulled the hand brake lever, stepped on the gas pedal of the car slowly, and took Nadya home.
I don't want our relationship to get worse and worse. At least, I can still stand next to the woman I love even without her knowing my true feelings for her. At least, I still have his body even though later on, he will lay his heart to others. At least, I can still survive not to fall back into the dark valley that I haven't seen lately like pulling me again. At least, I can still survive, thanks to Nadya. []
