(NON) PRETEND HUSBAND
Don't Expect More

The next morning, Kian was preoccupied with kitchen affairs. He made two servings of fried rice and beef eggs for breakfast before leaving for work. A glass of hot chocolate milk was also on the table for Ann.

After Kian spent an hour in the kitchen, Ann finally got off in a hurry. Her phone stuck to her ear indicates Ann is telephoning with someone. Increasingly pay attention to Ann from the kitchen, he finished cooking and just clean the remaining oil splashes on the electric stove.

"Good morning, Kian!" greet Ann while sitting on the chair.

"Good morning, have breakfast in a hurry. I'm still cleaning this for a minute!" Kian showed the napkin in his hand to Ann.

"I'm not used to heavy breakfasts, Kian! I'm just gonna eat the cow's eye eggs, okay?"

Kian took a breath that now felt heavier after Ann said it when all had matured. "All right, eat."

Ann smiled happily. He ate the cow's eye eggs on a plate and sipped the warm chocolate milk he had prepared at the table.

After making sure the kitchen was clean, Kian locked the kitchen door and moved to the dining table.

Ann was watching her phone when Kian sat across from her chair.

"What time are you home today?" tanya Kian made small talk.

"Hmmm, looks like it'll be until night anyway. There must have been a lot of work waiting for me during my time off. Why the hell?"

"It's okay. I ordered some food online. Then let it be placed in the lobby if you have not returned at 4 pm."

"Owh, what else do you want to cook?"

He smiled for a moment. "Secret!"

Ann chuckles at Kian's somewhat expressive mimic these days. He no longer looked like a talking robot.

"I like it, really. Don't worry."

"I just don't want to bother you. We agreed not to serve each other." Ann stared at Kian sharply.

"It's okay, Ann. I'll just cook for myself. Don'worry. I remember all our deals!" Kian devoured his fried rice with no taste anymore.

Ann exhaled her breath. "alright. Up yours. But don't expect much of me to do the same with you, Kian. I can't even tell which salt and which sugar!" Ann chuckled, she glanced at Kian who turned unmoved and returned to eating expressionlessly.

Ann sipped her chocolate milk up the toilet and stood up slowly. "I'm leaving first. I have a lot of meetings today! See you!"

She smiled and let Ann pass her in a hurry. He still noticed the tiny, very fashionable body was walking quickly and disappeared behind the elevator door.

"I want to take a break from the hustle and bustle of work and focus on taking care of my little family."

Kian let out a long sigh, Ann said the other day as if back ringing in her ears. She thought Ann enjoyed her job as a successful career woman, but her instincts as a woman revolted and wanted otherwise. I hope Ann lives up to her dream with that man.

Doubt Kian finished his breakfast and closed the fried rice that Ann had not eaten. He should go to work soon. Kian grabbed a glass of warm tea that he had prepared since then and sipped it clean left nothing.

While carrying a paper bag containing some souvenirs for his office friends, Kian got off through the elevator and walked to the Television Station where he worked. It only takes 15 minutes for him to walk down the sidewalk that is not so crowded in the morning. Some people use vehicles more to travel. Lucky Kian lives in the city center so that all places can be accessed quickly just by foot.

"Gee, good morning newlyweds!"
