(NON) PRETEND HUSBAND
Mystery of Mama's Existence

"Sit down you two!" jonathan orders after noticing his son and son-in-law just standing by the door.

Ann approached the single velvet sofa chair and sat down slowly. Even so, he sat not far from his wife.

A gripping aura felt overwhelming the entire room. Jonathan took off his reading glasses and put them on the table. She watched her daughter with a probing gaze, causing Ann to immediately duck avoiding the intimidating gaze of her Papa.

"Papa heard rumors that Kian had been opting for the night shift for several months. Is that right, Kian?" jonathan's gaze turned to his daughter-in-law who was subdued in fear.

"Yes, right, Pa," said Kian feeling guilty.

Jonathan sighed and exhaled heavily. "What's wrong with you two, huh? Isn't it obvious that Papa wants to hold a grandchild!"

Ann held her breath with mixed feelings, she turned to Kian who looked down and did not dare to face her Papa.

"Because you both insist on opposing Papa's wishes, Papa will not hesitate to change Papa's decision!"

"Mr ..."

"Papa will back down the will until Ann gives birth to a baby. Point."

"Pa!" sela Ann doesn't take it. He dared to challenge his Papa's gaze.

"Don't argue anymore, Ann. Papa's decision is already unanimous."

"Selfish papa! Do you think having children is easy? Ann's not ready, Pa. Later Ann still wants to enjoy time alone with Kian without any children," ekak Ann fiery, he glanced at Kian who was also staring at him.

"Papa's selfish? Papa is just realistic! What's wrong with Papa wanting to hold a grandchild?"

"But having children is a big responsibility, Pa. What if the two of us are not fit to be parents?"

"What do you mean, Ann? Being a parent doesn't mean you're going to split up, does it?"

"Pa, Ann's right. We still need time to get to know each other before we decide to have a child."

"No, Kian. Don't argue anymore. Whether you like it or not, Papa's decision is already unanimous." Jonathan stood up from his chair and approached the sofa, sitting on a long sofa in front of his son and daughter-in-law.

"Born a grandson for Papa. Immediately. There is no rebuttal. There's no farewell."

"Papa forces Ann to give birth to a grandchild and forbids Ann from separating from Kian, but Papa himself instead separates Ann from Mama!" ann's screams were full of rage.

Jonathan was wide-eyed at the swearing of his daughter, as if lightning had suddenly jarring right in his ear.

"Ann," called Kian no less surprised to hear his wife's words.

"Even my mother's whereabouts are still a mystery to me. Whether he is alive or has gone to see God. And now Papa's forcing me to have a baby without me ever knowing how to behave when it comes to being a mother!" crying Ann pilu.

Sighing unhappily, he grabbed Ann's clenched hand full of emotion and clasped it to give her some strength.

"Papa never separated you, your mother chose to leave" Jonathan explained in a trembling voice. He looked at Ann with a difficult look to explain, his heart like pinching when he had to remember his past story.

"lik! A mother can leave her child! It must have been Papa who separated us," elak Ann couldn't believe.

"There's no compulsion for you to trust Papa, Ann. Maybe it's time for you to know the real truth—"

"Pa," Kian couldn't bear.

Kian finds out, Jonathan kept the wound too deep and too long, it would be very painful for him to re-expose the incident decades ago.

"It's okay, Kian. Let Ann know the truth."
