Ann couldn't sleep last night. His mind went everywhere. He never thought Daren would let him marry the man of his choice Papa. His heart ached as if pierced by a rusty dagger, slashed and wounded.
Three years accompanied Daren without ever protesting his time which was always defeated by filming, roadshows and a series of other activities. Ann never asked for more. He always tried to understand Daren's position and succumbed to him.
Mentari had been greeting since three hours ago and Ann was still at home hiding behind her thick and warm blanket. Today he had to make a decision on his father. And he was ready for whatever would happen later. With whoever he was going to marry and like whatever the guy was, maybe he was Ann's real soul mate.
No. gabe. Ann was not blinded by treasure. He was just trying to be realistic and determined. His father was right, he couldn't keep waiting for Daren.
Slowly Ann lifted her body and sat leaning on the back of the bed. Right at that moment, his phone vibrated on the nightstand. Ann glanced at him.
Love is calling...
Ann threw away her face and let the phone continue to vibrate without intending to pick it up. His heart ached over Daren's rejection last night, nothing more to explain after last night he ended it all. There is no more Daren in his life story.
Ann got down slowly from the bed and decided to take a shower before going down to see her Papa. Spontaneous dizziness shook her head as Ann stood up and was about to swing her steps towards the bathroom. Lack of sleep, irregular eating and depression seemed to make his body start rebelling. Ann halted her steps for a moment and leaned against the wall. Her tears came back but Ann quickly wiped them away. He no longer wants to cry for Daren.
An hour later, Ann went down to the first floor in an elevator. He was afraid of fainting when he went down the stairs. His head and body still felt light like cotton.
"Where's Papa, Bik?" ask Ann when she can't find her father at the dinner table.
"In the park, Non. Was chatting with his guest earlier," said Bik Sum politely.
Ann decided to have breakfast first. He asked Bik Sum to make a serving of omelet and warm chocolate milk immediately. His mood can be bad, but he still has to fill his stomach with food.
Half an hour later, after breakfast and finishing her chocolate milk, Ann followed her Papa to the park next to her spacious and magnificent home. She found her father chatting with a man in the gazebo near the pool.
"Oh, it's Ann!" Her father smiled broadly as he saw Ann walking closer to where the two of them were chatting.
Jonathan stood up and followed his daughter. He took Ann to the gazebo.
Ann watched the man sitting in the gazebo with his face down.
"Kian, come here!" tell Jonathan when he sees Kian still sitting in his original place.
The man named Kian stood up, he looked at Ann at a glance but then looked down again nervously. His hands clasped each other tightly.
Ann scanned Kian's appearance. Not bad's. His height was almost comparable to Daren, perhaps even a little higher.
"He's Kian, your future husband!"
Ann slips. He looked at his father in shock. Jonathan smiled and nodded surely. Ann again noticed Kian who a moment ago she thought was just a new prospective employee in this house.
Kian's appearance that had seemed quite cool immediately turned very shabby in Ann's eyes. It is impossible for her to marry a man with this model?! Did the father choose wrong?? How could an Ann marry him? What does the world say?!!
He stretched out his hand to meet Ann. Long enough the hand was outstretched before then Ann greeted him with unease.
"Kian."
"Annastasian!"
Kian noticed Ann's hand rubbed into the back of her skirt sadly. His first impression of Ann was certainly not as exciting as he had imagined.
"You guys chat. Papa wants to call Luke inside for a second!" Jonathan watched Kian and Ann.
Ann turned her head and shook her head as a code that she did not want to be left alone. But Jonathan remained indifferent and turned away. Ann was disappointed.
Kian who saw it quickly turned around and sat back in the gazebo. He knew there was no way Ann would like it this fast.
"When have you known my father?!" ask Ann curiously.
Kian gasp. He looked at Ann who was looking at him.
"Since two years ago."
"It's only been two years and Papa is desperate to marry his daughter to someone he just met? It's great! What pellet pack?"
Kian. "Pelets?"
"Yes, pellets! No way my Papa can be that easy to marry me as you are if not for the black magic you use!"
Kian shakes fast. "I never used any black magic."
"Masa? What do you get after we get married? The firm? A home? Or villa??"
"Why talk like that?"
"There's no way Papa won't give you anything in return! I know clearly someone like you must be after our treasure, right?!"
Kian held back the pounding on his chest that was getting hotter hearing Ann's insults. It's okay if Ann doesn't like it, but insulting her like this is obviously outrageous.
"It seems you misjudged me. Please don't equate me with the people you mean. And about the marriage, I don't approve of it either. Don't think I'll easily accept this matchmaking." He stood up and looked at Ann.
Ann who was still standing not far from Kian with her arms crossed over her chest only responded with a wry smile.
"Bulshit!" hiss Ann lirih.
"I came here out of respect for Mr. Nathan as the man who helped me a lot. Don't get me wrong and think I agree to marry you!" Kian explained.
Ann threw away her face. His breathing was restrained for a while after hearing Kian's explanation.
"Thank you for your insults today. Excuse me." Kian pulled his waistbag bag and passed with a vibrating body holding back the emotions.
At first glance the scent of the man's perfume sniffed Ann's sense of smell. The smell of wood and lime is masculine. Ann turned around and watched the man named Kian leave. Her tall body quickly walked down the corridor of Ann's house and disappeared.
Ann sighed tiredly. He did not mean to say rude to Kian, for some reason he even made the man vent his anger on Daren. Though looking at Kian's innocent appearance and what it is, Ann is sure that he is a good man. Ann turned back to the end of the corridor where Kian had passed her. Was he too rude??
