CHAPTER 37

The phone Widya was holding just fell on her bed. He hugged his feet and bowed his head to his knees. The tears that were spilled were not comparable to the anger that he was craving. Just a few hours ago Nathan was being nice to her, as if her heart and life were for Widya. Though it's too hard for Widya to trust him, Nathan is hurting more than ever.

The shadow of Nathan's back that seemed to hug the woman and the woman's right hand was on Nathan's shoulder made Widya's heart broken. Moreover, the woman clearly looks is Vina. His chest felt tight as if the air around him was moving away from the stuffy and dark space.

“Did I love her too much? I should have realized that I wasn't the first to fill his heart. Vina was Nathan's happiness. Maybe I better try to stay away from them,” Widya said in her heart between tears.

I don't know how long Widya cried until she was tired and asleep. The voice of the azan echoed from afar, stroking Widya and inviting her to wake up. He looked at the ceiling of his room with a blank look. His heartache was again felt when he remembered the incident last night. Widya pulled the blanket back. His condition is not okay due to overnight events plus monthly cycles that make his emotions erratic.

The sun had already started to rise, but Widya had not yet come out of her room. Arini began to worry because it is not usual for Widya to wake up that session.

“Wid, what time are you in college?” arini asked gently approaching Widya who was still wrapped in her blanket.

“Later noon, Bun. Widya's a little dizzy. Let Widya sleep again, yeah! Widya no longer wants to be disturbed. If anyone nyari just say Widya again wants to be alone,” replied Widya from behind a blanket.

Arini frowned increasingly clueless of her daughter. Just last night she came home with a cheerful face, but today Arini feels something is wrong with her daughter.

“Include Nathan?” ask Arini.

“Iya, everything,” reply Widya short.

Arini moves out of Widya's room, giving her daughter space to be alone. Widya's attitude that does not want to meet Nathan makes Arini think that between her daughter and Nathan there is a problem. Arini lets Widya make peace with her heart. He will wait patiently until his daughter is ready to tell him what is going on.

“If hungry eat soon, yes! You have to keep eating because sad also need extra energy,” said Arini before closing the door Widya room.

After Arini's death, Widya began to digest Arini's sentence running around in her brain.

“What does Mother know? But Mommy is right, I have to be strong to face all this,” Widya said in her heart.

Thirty minutes later Widya got out of bed. He cleaned himself and changed into sports clothes. The plan for jogging should be puffed up when he sees his face in front of the mirror. Swollen eyes from crying last night are still clearly visible. Widya was embarrassed by her current condition. He changed his clothes again with the usual home clothes Widya wore. He rushed out of the room to the kitchen.

“Wid, eat first!” arini orders when seeing Widya passing next to him.

“Iya, Bun.” Widya landed her body on the chair next to Arini. Take breakfast and eat it immediately.

“Bun, how to reduce puffy eyes, dong?” ask Widya between her meals.

“Bengkak why? Pain?” Arini asked back.

“This, Bun,” points Widya towards her eyes. Arini was surprised to see Widya's condition.

“Eat first! Mother ready warm water to compress your eyes.” Arini passed into the kitchen.

After a while, Arini brought a small basin filled with warm water and a clean towel. Seeing that Widya had already finished her breakfast Arini smiled.

“Come, to the room! Mother compress your eyes so that the swelling decreases,” said Arini. They both walked towards Widya's room. Widya threw herself on the bed. Arini patiently began to squeeze out a small towel and stick it in Widya's eyes.

“No want the same story Mother?” ask Arini gently. Widya was silent for a while. Wondering if it was necessary he told the mother? However, on the other hand his heart did not want to expose Nathan's ugliness if the photo was true.

“Widya again with Nathan, Bun. Widya is tired, sometimes Widya wants to give up and end it all,” explained Widya.

“What was Nathan's mistake so fatal that your daughter had to give up?” Arini looked at the princess.

“Sentence, Bun. Widya just felt unable if she had to be betrayed a second time. Harsa used to fool Widya so easily, using Widya's love for revenge on Karin. Is it possible now that Nathan is doing the same? Nathan just wants to take advantage of Widya for revenge with his ex-lover?” widya Lirih.

Arini can only encourage her little daughter, because now all Widya needs is support so that Widya can pass the stage of maturity in life.

“Honey, dreading mother! Falling in love and heartbreak is a package, can not be separated. When you start falling in love, it means you have to be ready for a broken heart. They were shocked by the sound of the house bell ringing. Arini got up to open the door. Before reaching the door of Widya's room, Arini's steps came to a halt due to Widya's cry.

“Bun, Widya again does not want to meet Nathan. Widya wants to calm down.” Widya seemed to understand if the one who came was Nathan. Arini nodded even though Widya did not see it. Arini tries to understand her daughter's condition. He rushed to the front door, checking who the guests were.

“Assalamualaikum, Bun,” greet Nathan as soon as Arini opens the door. Arini smiled seeing Nathan kissing the back of her hand.

“Waalaikumsalam. Tumben early in the morning already nyampe here,” reply Arini.

“There, but he is not wanting to be disturbed,” replied Arini flatly.

Nathan was troubled, his face was filled with worry because he could not contact Widya since last night. Nathan doesn't understand, what's wrong with Widya. What Nathan knows, if Widya doesn't want to pick up the phone, it means Widya is angry with him.

“Nath, can you ask?”

Arini's question breaks Nathan's daydream. He also nodded in response.

“Actually how are you guys related? Are you guys okay?” arini asked gently, but was able to make Nathan surprised because lately his relationship with Widya was somewhat stretched.

“Nathan thinks we're okay, Bun. What happened to Widya?” Nathan dared to ask.

“Bunda does not know for sure what you are experiencing, but mother feels some days Widya looks moody. Forgive your daughter's mistake, yes! Maybe Widya is a little spoiled and selfish. It was because he was not used to sharing. Being an only child makes Widya always get the full attention of father and mother. Mother asks one thing from Nathan, if Nathan already disagrees with your daughter, please let her go, do not hurt her more deeply!” arini said full of requests.

“Why does Mother say that? Nathan sincerely loves Widya, Bun. Nathan would never hurt Widya,”.

“For now let Widya alone. It takes time to understand his feelings. Mother thinks, Nathan also needs to do it,” Arini words make Nathan more confused.

“From last night his phone wasn't picked up, Bun. Even now inactive. Nathan's worried,” Nathan's down.

“Widya is fine. You go home now! Give a little space for Widya to think, yes!” Arini pleads to make Nathan feel bad.

Nathan leaves Widya's house disappointed. He could not meet Widya. Worse, because Widya doesn't want to see him. So many questions ran through his mind. I don't know what he's done wrong, so Widya refuses to see him.

Today Widya decided not to go to college. In addition to his heavy head from crying last night, he was still reluctant to meet Nathan.

In the afternoon, Karin and Kartika came to Widya's house after getting a private chat from Widya that she was not feeling well.

“Lo why, Wid? Weren't you guys okay last night?” ask Kartika who saw Widya's messy condition.

Widya smiled wryly looking at her two best friends and held out a cell phone towards them. Sontak Karin and Kartika were surprised until they cursed with harsh words.

“Job! You crocodile! How dare he do something like this.” Kartika clenched her hands, furious at the photo of Nathan with Vina.

“Lo patient, yes, Wid!” Karin approached and hugged Widya which of course made Widya re-emit tears.

“Gue should how?” widya asked, looking at her two best friends. Highlight his eyes glare and clear make Karin and Kartika not bear.

“Lo must be strong. Show them that you can get through all this. We're always next to you, Wid.” Karin tries to encourage Widya who is currently completely destroyed.

“Today just rest! Don't think about them. Tomorrow you have to look beautiful and go back to college, yeah! Don't just because they're skipping college. Tomorrow we pick you up, okay!” karin's orders were only answered with a smile by Widya.

Until the night they spent time in Widya's room. Trying to cheer Widya up with unimportant stories coming out of Karin's mouth. Widya feels grateful, her best friend still cares about her.

This morning, as agreed last night, Karin and Kartika picked up Widya early before Nathan arrived. Widya who deliberately turned off her phone since yesterday clearly made Nathan careless.

“Again, Bun. Widya is?” nathan asked in Widya's yard when Arini was watering her plants.

“Widya has departed from earlier, Nath,” replied Arini.

“Whose name, Bun?” nathan asked worriedly.

“Tadi Karin same Kartika come, keep them leaving together,” explained Arini.

“Thank you, Bun. Nathan took them, yeah. Assalamualaikum.” Nathan passed by racing his sport bike tightly. “What's the matter with you, Wid? You're making me worry. Talk from mother as if I have hurt you so badly. I'm sorry, honey. If I accidentally hurt you again, Nathan's inner”.

Once on campus, Nathan rushes to his class in hopes that Widya will be there. However, Widya was not in the crowd of people who were in the classroom. Nathan runs to the canteen, again Widya is not there. Last he headed for the library, researching every hallway in the room, but Widya was also nowhere to be seen.

Nathan gave up and returned to his class, he sat down with disordered breathing. From his seat he saw Widya walking behind the lecturer of today's course. Widya sat on the front bench away from Nathan.

During the lesson, Nathan's mind was confused because he thought of Widya. There are so many questions he wants to ask. However, he had to hold back until the course ended.
