A Flick of Asa For Love

A Flick of Asa For Love
CHAPTER 57

...***...

Breezy wind that blows without permission enters Widya's room. Stroking his face and clutching tightly to a body that still harbored disappointment. Widya sat behind the window of her room which she accidentally opened wide, staring from above and passing vehicles in front of the house. In the past, in this place Widya always awaits the presence of Nathan. Feeling happy whenever Nathan's motorbike's voice disturbed his hearing and Widya always returned Nathan's hand before he met him.

Widya again wiped the warm fur on her cheek. Every memory of Nathan danced in his memory, only faithful tears accompanied. Although sometimes his two best friends come to entertain, but Widya feels emptiness in one side in the corner of her heart. The decision to end his relationship with Nathan no doubt made his heart hurt. However, his disappointment towards Nathan was far greater than his current love.

The sound of knocking on the door from behind did not distract Widya. Mother Arini was seen from behind the door, stepping closer to her only wayang princess who daydreamed looking at the sky. For several days Widya refused to come to campus.

“Honey, sad to have, yes! It's time to go back to college. How to finish on time if you are like this,” said Mother Arini while stroking Widya's head.

Widya seemed to realize from her nightmare, she looked at Arini's shady face. The face that had been accompanying him, the face that had been radiating a willingness to look at his condition, the face that had all this time lost a smile due to his actions. Widya's cry broke as she wrapped her hands around Arini's waist.

“Sorry Widya, Bun! Widya has disappointed Mother and Father,” the stuffing makes Arini full.

“Widya must rise, yes! Don't let sadness ruin your dreams. Widya still remembers our struggle to be at this point, right? From every drop of our sweat when struggling with flour to Widya can lecture as you wish. Mommy hope all tired we will not end in vain.” Arini stroked Widya's head, letting Widya cry as much as she could in her arms.

For a while only the sound of sobs Widya dominated the room. Until Widya breaks her embrace and looks at Arini. “Widya will not disappoint Mother. Widya promises to catch up with Widya all this time.”

Arini smiled with relief watching Widya who began to reconcile with her heart. “Yuk, get down! Dad's waiting for us for lunch. You haven't had breakfast this morning, have you? Poor Dad's been starving under.”

Arini took a comb at the dresser and tidied her daughter's hair. Widya gets up to the bathroom to wash her face and goes down with Arini. Seeing her father's tired face waiting at the dinner table, Widya realized that her sadness affected many people. Indirectly he has removed the smiles and spirits of those who love him.

“Eh, father's son has arrived! I'm taking rice, yeah. Widya wants to eat what soup is fish? It's dad's fish, you know. Dad fishing kangen with you, Wid.” Bowo's excited speech saw Widya's presence, making Widya moved and feel guilty. Because, all this time Widya never saw her father moody and tired. Really, the problem had extinguished the cheer in the house.

“Wear soup with chicken only, Dad. Widya again lazy to eat fish,” replied Widya trying to bring a smile in front of her greatest man.

Widya's father was busy taking rice for Widya, while Arini poured water for them. Widya sat watching the twinkle of happiness in her parents' eyes. This simple makes them happy. Widya realized how long she had locked herself in the room. Deadly access to the surrounding environment is no exception to his parents.

Widya looked at herself in front of the mirror. Today Widya plans to go to college. It just so happens that today's schedule starts at one to five in the afternoon. Widya arranged her heart from morning, preparing for all the possibilities that would happen on campus. Including one of them if you have to meet Nathan.

After parking his motorbike, he rushed towards the library while waiting for his college hours. He spends his time in the room avoiding Nathan. In fact, Widya always refused to join her best friend. For now the most convenient place for Widya is just the library. It was here that Widya found calm.

At 12:50 WIB, Widya got up to her class. Heavy and hesitant he ventured down the campus corridor, his eyes occasionally sweeping around every corner, looking for someone he had longed for and hated at the same time. Widya enters her class just as the course is about to begin, she accidentally sits by the door in the hope she can quickly get out of the room when the class is over.

Kartika and Karin also felt the impact of the incident that hit Widya. They used to be cheerful when eating together in the campus cafeteria. Now the two of them just flipped through the food without intending to bring it into his mouth.

“Eh, yes. I forgot that my stomach is hungry.” Kartika looked at Zakir and immediately realized his behavior.

“What should we do to restore Widya's cheer, huh? Yesterday we failed to persuade him to eat,” said Karin no less lethargic.

“We have tried our best. We just pray for the good of Widya,” said Edo who had been silent to witness the depression of his best friend.

“I'm afraid if Widya is too bad due to this incident,” said Karin.

“Widya is not such a person. He just needs to be alone. But we still have to be with him. Monitoring him from far away, until when he needs our helping hand, we are quick to welcome him,” said Zakir.

“Tumben lo straight, Zak. What was your connection? Usually also talk lo no one can be a role model.” Harsa slapped the head of Zakir who was sitting next to him.

“Eh, I'm this from the past plate. You guys are always deflecting my steps.” Zakir defended himself.

“Udah, ah. You guys are making a fuss yourself. Come on, Rin we're going to class!” Kartika got up and left the place.

“Wait For Brother, Deck! Do not go so, do not politely know,” exclaimed Zakir on Kartika.

“Bodo highly.” Kartika stuck out her tongue and pulled Karin's hand, inviting her to leave the place immediately.

The following days Widya went through as usual. Being alone in the library without being disturbed. And what makes Widya again hurt is every effort Nathan to approach her again. A few days ago Nathan humiliated himself just to take Widya's heart. Widya almost gave up her decision. However, he immediately came to his senses when he recalled the incident in the pond. Widya no longer wants to disappoint those who are so sincere in love with her. Her father, mother, and best friend are far more important than her feelings for Nathan.

Tonight a flight from Singapore landed seamlessly in Jakarta. A white man wearing a black t-shirt and light blue jeans came down the stairs of the plane. The jacket draped on his shoulders and the sunglasses perched on his head made him the center of attention of girls in the area.

“Hello, Bram. I have arrived. Where are you?” The man spoke through his cell phone.

After ending his call, the person immediately put on a jacket then kept the phone inside. His broad steps led him out into the parking lot. Someone greeted him and opened the car door for him. The car immediately drove across the streets of the capital that was still crowded, even though the day was getting late.

“You already found me a hotel, right?” ask the guy.

“Everything's done, boss. Later if the Boss changes his mind and wants to stay longer here, I have also prepared an apartment not far from where Vina lives,” replied someone behind the wheel.

Well, who else, huh? Vina's enemy, is it? What debt collector wants to collect debt? Yok, guess 😅😅
