The Devil's Settlement (Part I)

"It happened yesterday. The owner of this woman's body continued to pray to Shinto gods. Begging you to be okay and asking us to protect you wherever you are." Tsukuyomi. But Kenji doesn't believe it.

"What makes this woman pray is because of her friend." Kenji. Tsukuyomi was a little surprised by Kenji's statement just now.

"How did you know?" Ask Tsukuyomi.

"Because this lady's friend is my foster sister. Maybe this woman deliberately sacrificed her body as your container to make amends for her mistakes that she couldn't defend and help me in the past." Answer Kenji. Really to the point.

"So far I understand. So what's your need to go all the way down to the human world to meet me?" Kenji asked as he walked into the cannibals' house to loot. Tsukuyomi just tailed behind Kenji.

"Because in this world there will be a mythological war and I am sent as the overseer of that war." Answer Tsukuyomi.

Kenji then finds some matching magnum bullets inside the glass cabinet.

"Mythological War?" Although Kenji focuses on looting but from Kenji's tone asks Kenji seems a little interested.

"War conducted by a pair of Ousama and Slave who worked together in a battle royale against Ousama and the other Slave until the remaining 1 pair. The purpose of this war is to kill the OVERLORDs hiding in this world to restore the world in balance." Tsukuyomi.

"Then... " Kenji opened the door to get out of the cannibal house and walked to another house to loot the items he could use to survive.

"... What does this war have to do with me?" Kenji asked kicking the door of the next cannibal house until the door collapsed.

Suddenly from behind the closet there is one cannibal who is still alive and tries to attack Kenji but from behind Tsukuyomi moves his sword using his psychic powers and stabs the cannibal's head to death.

"Tattoo on your right and left temples is the answer. Unique type of contract seal. You're bonding contracts with holy grail containers." Answer Tsukuyomi.

"Holy cup? What are you talking about?" Kenji seemed to not care. Suddenly Kenji gets some kind of weird Bible. Out of curiosity Kenji stuffed it into his backpack for him to read later.

"You met a blonde woman, didn't you? The woman is the container of her holy grail and you indirectly bond with her so as to create a tattoo on both of your temples." Tsukuyomi.

"The woman is no longer with me. He became a resident of Tatum and lives quietly there now. Sorry, miss Tsukuyomi." Kenji got another bullet from the desk locker.

"The holy grail has an almighty power that can even grant any request it contracts with, Kenji. The reason I came down here was to take care of him and take him to heaven for safekeeping." Tsukuyomi explained in a high tone to let her know that it was a serious matter.

"You said any request could be granted..." Said Kenji who finally wanted to look at and face Tsukuyomi.

Kenji corners Tsukuyomi into the wooden wall of the house.

"How about this. I will use the power of the holy grail to return to my world after that I will give it back to you for safekeeping. How's it?" Ask Kenji to make a deal.

"What?! You plan on using that holy grail to go home?! His strength was unstable and even unpredictable. Even if it's by his container or us gods." Tsukuyomi is quite surprised by Kenji's offer.

"You seem dissatisfied" said Kenji, reading Tsukuyomi's face.

"Clearly! I don't want to endanger the large-scale universe just to help you get home." Serge.

"All right, I made a better deal. I will use the holy grail as the last option to go home. Instead work with me to find a way back to my home world. I will also return the holy grail to you right after I return home. More interesting, isn't it?"

"If I keep refusing? What are you gonna do?" Ask Tsukuyomi.

"It's easy.I'll kill you right now." Kenji points his revolver to Tsukuyomi's chin.

"Then I'll take the holy grail and find a way to activate it and use it to go home. I don't care if it affects even vacuum decay." Kenji. Tsukuyomi is sweating coldly. Inexplicably Kenji's aura is terrifying when he tries to threaten Tsukuyomi.

"Then why didn't you do that from the beginning?" Ask Tsukuyomi again to make sure.

"Obviously my reason has nothing to do with you." Answer Kenji.

Tsukuyomi slowly gulped to calm herself down.

"All right, agreed." Tsukuyomi. The tattoo on Kenji temple glows red and then dims back.

Kenji reflexively shoots a cannibal who tries to disturb him who is making out with Tsukuyomi.

"It's no wonder you can contract with a divine spirit like me. Ordinary people will die. But since you alone can contract with a force that is even beyond human reason then I understand it." Tsukuyomi explains.

"So so. It feels almost the same when I do a contract with Emiya." Mumbled Kenji.

"So what now?" Ask Tsukuyomi.

"We're exploring this settlement. Who knows we could find clues from the books and papers they've written in the past." Kenji.

They both began to enter the house one by one for them to loot and for them to check. If there is a useful item then they will take it and if there is a document or a note they will read and save it. Information and insight are weapons because they will be useful in times of urgency and negotiation.

Not infrequently they found cannibals still in the house. But since their number in each house was at most only 3, Kenji and Tsukuyomi managed to crush them easily.

"Is there no warehouse in this settlement?" Ask Kenji.

"Hey boy, check inside the building near the church. I think it was the house of the village chief as well as their warehouse where the goods were stored." Advice from Hazard.

The two of them walked up to the warehouse and checked the door.

"Locked." Tsukuyomi said. Without warning Kenji shot the lock that locked the door. Tsukuyomi looked at Kenji with a stern look.

"There's really no warning." Tsukuyomi said with a quip.

"It's faster than having to steal the keys first." Kenji then pushed the door of the barn. Suddenly a growling sound was heard. Because it's in the dark warehouse and the day has started the night Kenji was forced to turn on his flashlight.

Just when the flashlight panned forward there was a very terrible figure stored inside the warehouse.

"Truly a demon settlement." Keny commented.
