Third Medal (Part IV)

Morning has arrived. Kenji stood guard from late midnight around 1 am until the rising of the sun. Kenji still remembers keeping the stock of meat from the white deer yesterday that they hunted, so Kenji decided to make breakfast in the form of thinly cut venison then roasted over a campfire.

Tsukuyomi awakens to smell the sweet roast. Tsukuyomi then stretched her body to refresh her body. Tsukuyomi then pulls the drawstring pouch that was on Kenji's waist to pick up some mint leaves for him to eat.

"What is this smell? It looks good." Tsukuyomi said she put 2 mint leaves in her mouth.

"Breakfast this time roast. Nih." Kenji thrusts a thin but wide piece of meat at Tsukuyomi using his ejection knife.

But when Tsukuyomi wants to pick it up Kenji pulls back the meat.

The roast is quite delicious when eaten even with potluck ingredients. Kenji was still busy eating his grilled meat by looking at the parchment clues of the 3 medallions.

"It's gonna take a long time." Tsukuyomi said by scooping her face with her left hand after finding a rotten fish on the table.

Tsukuyomi could only be silent at the gasoline plastic tank.

"Come on. We've got what we're looking for." Kenji said walking out of the hut.

They also walked to 3 engine boats on the lake. Kenji then filled one of the boats that had the most gasoline tanks in its engine. Once fully charged Kenji and Tsukuyomi ride on it. Kenji started pulling per recoil stater of the ship and it turned out to be successfully ignited.

As Tsukuyomi advises, Kenji directs the ship's pace on the lake's coastal path to avoid contact with anything living in the middle of the lake.400 meters have been taken by both of them and everything is still safely under control.

Just when they mouth a cave suddenly their boat nudges something. Sounds like a broken wire although faint then followed sound like a sonar detector that is active.

"What's that sound?" Kenji and Tsukuyomi could hear the sound of the wire breaking because they both had super hearing.

They keep running the boat into the cave even though slowly. The sound of the sonar detector was getting louder every time they drove the ship into the cave.

"Something's wrong." Kenji said with growing suspicion.

Suddenly the water inside the cave became changed direction and pushed the ship backwards away from the cave.

"The water changed direction!" Tsukuyomi said on standby. Kenji tries to spur the boat but due to fear of gasoline in the engine is reduced drastically Kenji undoes his intention.

The ship they both pulled out of the cave.

"How can the river water change direction by itself?!!" Tsukuyomi said in a panic.

"I think I know the answer." Kenji looked back.
