The Devil's Settlement (Part III)

The axed monster then walked down every alley and alley in the settlement. If he sensed our whereabouts it would have been the monster that would have destroyed the house he suspected.

Empathy with slave, huh? More practical than radio communication. Kenji said with relief.

His only weakness is his feet. Between you and me should be bait so that one of us can attack that vital part of the monster. Tsukuyomi.

Kenji then opens the bullet slot of his revolver.6 slots are still full. The knife is also a lot.

Well here's the plan..... Kenji.

The monster suddenly saw a figure running in front of him. That possibility, if not Kenji, must be the other woman.

The monster immediately ran to chase after him. But because his body was big and tall, his running speed was not so fast. When the monster saw the figure in front of him turn to one of the branches of the alley. The monster threw its axe so as to make the house near the turn crumble and not hit the figure.

The monster immediately ran back and checked towards the turn where the figure he was looking for ran but the monster found nothing. The monster continues its search.

From behind there was someone who shot the heel of the monster making it turn around. But someone's missing. Not long after, someone slashed the lower leg of the back. Makes the monster reflex to slap his sword behind him which again does not hit anything but the ground.

The attack stopped. The Monster continued his search in search of 2 pests that upset him. His mouth was snarling and foaming like a hungry dog.

Suddenly when walking his feet accidentally nudged the wire thread until it sounded "click" under his feet. The monster then looked down to confirm what had happened.

Suddenly around his feet appeared 2 explosions that made the monster in pain. The monster knelt down and the disgusting squid that was near the mouth of his heart came out.

Right about 5 meters in front of the monster, Tsukuyomi appeared and threw her sword like throwing a spear at the monster's chest and hit the disgusting squid. The monster roared very loudly in pain.

Kenji also appears in a nearby house where the monster kneels close to the monster. Kenji holds the handle of Tsukuyomi's sword, which the blade sticks deep enough in the monster's chest. Kenji then turned the sword around like he was unlocking the door and then pulling it out.

The squid on the monster's chest exploded and broke apart. The monster roars and collapses.

Kenji then flicks Tsukuyomi's sword to the ground to remove the monster's blood. The monster's blood splashed onto the ground.

"Your plan worked." Tsukuyomi said with admiration. Kenji then throws back Tsukuyomi's sword to return it.

"This monster reminds me of some of the games I've played until the end." Mumbled Kenji.

"The game?" Tsukuyomi asked not understanding.

"No, it's nothing. Let's see what's inside the barn. We can use the place for overnight. It's dark enough today." Without Tsukuyomi realizing it was indeed a dark day.

They both arrived at the warehouse. Kenji uses a piece of wood from the house that was destroyed by the monster to make a bonfire in front of the warehouse.

Kenji checked every shelf and stuff there. Kenji then found some kind of writing on the wall that was used to chain the monster earlier.

"Ejecutor." Read Kenji.

"Code name for that monster yeah." Kenji mutters.

Kenji also found some report papers that were dusty and dull but still readable.

There are a lot of lists of names. Maybe those are the names of the people who live here. There are some pictures of this village that are just as dull. Kenji then finds an interesting note.

The record says that since the sound of the rebellion, several scientists from the kingdom and the nation of Invest came to this village to offer a kind of vaccine and health unit. The village also agreed because it was in the village was affected by a disease outbreak.

After the examination and vaccination the government sent some religious leaders here and suddenly everyone was crazy and sick.

"Religious leader?" Kenji muttered in confusion. The information Kenji got quite collided with the books he read in the royal library.

How could there still be humans living outside the walls of the Titum fortress? Have they not been destroyed since the demons invaded this world? But why did they still have time to meet with the royal party after Queen Fiona was declared dead? What is Invest? Some kind of Alien race?

"Something's wrong." Mumbled Kenji.

Kenji also put the report and data into his backpack. Kenji then goes on to explore the warehouse. Kenji finds a long, dusty silver suitcase.

Kenji then opened the silver suitcase. It makes Kenji's eyes sparkle.

"Wow... The Shotgun Benelli M2." Mumbled Kenji in admiration.

Kenji immediately searches for whether there are bullets in the warehouse. Kenji then checks if there are any bullets in his shotgun. Apparently there are still about 3-4 bullets that enter the slot.

"Seeing from the looks of it it still seems to be usable." Kenji said happily.

Kenji then sensed the presence of someone nearby. Kenji's hand had already grabbed the katana at his back waist.

From behind Tsukuyomi re-emerged from his spirit form into a physical form.

"Oh, Tsukuyomi. How's things going around here?" Ask Kenji.

"There was no movement or cannibals within a 2km radius. I also found a church in the back area of the warehouse. The distance is only about 500 meters. Eve's not good in there at all." Tsukuyomi.

"Good, tomorrow morning we'll be there to check it out. For now we rest. Do you want me or do you want to stand guard first?" Ask Kenji. Seeing Kenji's spirited face makes Tsukuyomi's human body tired.

"All right, I'll rest first. The human body also has its limits. Humans get tired easily. If you want to sleep, you can wake me up later." Tsukuyomi turned around and waved her hand at Kenji.

Kenji then continues his exploration in the warehouse. Aside from the report, there are no more important records. But Kenji managed to find some grenades and a flash bang. It probably came from the captured soldiers of Tandum. Kenji also ended up finding some bullets for the Benelli M2 although not much.

That night Kenji took care of his equipment for tomorrow he used to hunt.
