Daniel felt his heart so sad to see the treatment of a father to his own son. Daniel knew, make sure Selena suffered not only her body with blows and slaps, but her heart ached with her father's harsh words.

Seeing Selena squatting down the road, Daniel crouched down. He felt sorry for that girl.

"Calm Selena. Calm your heart... I was right here. Calm down."

Daniel tried to calm down Selena who was sobbing in her tears and patted the girl on the back.

Daniel was still crouching and waiting for Selena to calm down. He just crouched down and occasionally patted the back of the girl who looked fragile and in pain.

"Are you going to go into your house or are you going to stay here, Selena?" Daniel asked Selena, who was calm and not crying, though tears were still flowing from the corner of her eyes.

"I'll go in the house first." Selena got up and started to stand up and her legs started to step towards her house.

"After this what are you doing Selena? What are you gonna do?" Daniel asked as he followed Selena's footsteps to his house.

"I don't know, maybe tomorrow I'll find a new job."

It's ironic, isn't it? The house that became a shelter actually became a place of torture and it was done by a father to his son. There is no peace for Selena, only fear. For almost every day his father came home under the influence of liquor. So, almost every day the father said rudely to Selena and slapping her son's face was a common thing that Selena got.

"What if your father comes home again Selena? Is he gonna hit you back?" Daniel asked with his face full of anxiety.

"Hmmm, that's normal. From childhood I've beaten my father." Selena answered and her tears returned.

"I can't seem to leave you here, Selena. I was worried that your father would come and hit you again."

"It's okay, I'm used to this kind of situation."

"Don't sacrifice yourself Selena. The only one who can save you right now is yourself." Daniel's words remind Selena how all this time she just survived inside the house, with all her care. Endure working hard to meet the needs of daily life, endure receiving harsh words and blows from his father. Even Selena never thought of saving herself because she had no one. Her mother had been away with other men for a long time, and her father was the only person she had.

"If not here, where do I end up? It's the only place I've got, I don't have anywhere else to go." The girl's cry came back.

"If you want, you can come with me, Selena. I'll take care of you and make sure you're safe by my side." Daniel's words were full of confidence and for two days knowing Daniel, the man was always polite to him. But should he go with Daniel and leave his father alone?
