Father's Recovery

This morning, Selena said goodbye to the nurse who was guarding her father's room, she wanted to go home for a while to clean herself and also change her clothes. Because, since yesterday Selena is still wearing her work clothes.

Selena returns to Daniel's apartment, this time not alone, because Daniel also drove her home. The two went home together on a city bus waiting at the bus stop in front of the hospital.

"You don't mind taking the bus, Dan?" Selena asked Daniel who was standing next to her waiting for the city bus to arrive.

"No. I don't mind at all. Why?"

"Because I think it's the first time you've boarded a city bus."

"Yes, this is my first time taking a city bus. I don't think it's a problem. I'm glad I tried something new."

"Thank God you don't mind. After all, taking public transportation is fun, and we learn to wait patiently too."

"Yes, that's right Selena. I agree with you."

The two talked until a city bus arrived. The two of them got on the bus, sitting together in one seat. Once Selena stole a glance at Daniel, the girl smiled and threw her eyes at the window. After several stops, they finally arrived at a stop not too far from Daniel's apartment. The journey continues on foot.

Arriving at the apartment, both Selena and Daniel went into their rooms, cleaned themselves and changed clothes. It didn't take long, they were both in the kitchen.

"What do you want for breakfast Selena? I can cook for you." Daniel asked Selena who was walking to the kitchen to get some water.

"anything... Hem, but there's no groceries in the fridge, Dan. Because as long as you're gone, I don't cook at home either. I bought ready-to-eat food."

"Then, what do we eat now?"

"How about ordering online?" Selena offers to order food online.

"Yes, can. You order it..."

After that Selena took her phone and started surfing on the green app on her phone to order food online. Since it was still early morning, Selena could only order chicken porridge.

After 15 minutes, their food came. Selena served the Chicken Porridge in a dish, after which she made a warm tea for him and a cup of hot chocolate for Daniel.

"Breakfast first, Dan..." Selena called Daniel who was watering her flowers on the balcony.

"Yes..."

Daniel went inside and sat at the dinner table with the food menu that had been served there.

"Thank you, Selena." Daniel smiled as he saw a cup of hot chocolate right in front of him.

"For??"

"For this hot chocolate. You still remember me well."

"Yes, you're welcome."

Of course Selena will always remember Daniel, even in the deepest room of her heart, there is only Daniel's name there. When the man went away all day without any news, Selena always remembered him.

Selena ate her breakfast and sipped the hot, jasmine-flavored tea. His hunger was gone, and now he felt full.

After breakfast, he rushed to his room and took his bag, he was going back to the hospital to look after his father.

"Come, I'll take Selena with you. I'll accompany you at the hospital."

"No, you're home. You need to rest, Dan."

"Hmm, fine if you refuse, but let me take you there. Remember, don't refuse. I'm dropping off now. Come on."

Selena follows Daniel to get down to the basement parking lot, picking up the car parked there. Then slowly, Daniel drove his car slowly, down the streets of the capital which was still early in the morning but was already very crowded. After a long drive, they finally arrived at the hospital.

"It's over, Selena... I'm going home, because you refused my company. So, I'll just go home. But, remember. If there's anything please call me."

"hem, fine. Is your phone active again? Isn't it a week or so that your phone is inactive?"

"Just try to call my number, you can. It's active."

"All right, I'll call you later. Thanks, Dan... I went inside."

"Bye Selena, be careful."

Both separated. Daniel returns to his apartment and Selena goes into the hospital where her father is being cared for.

When Selena came, apparently her father was conscious. Selena was so happy, seeing her father sitting on his back on the headboard of her safe.

"Dad, you're sober? Thank goodness."

"Hem, yes..." Selena's father only answered briefly.

"Dad, Selena please don't drink any more booze. Selena wants me to stay healthy. Your organs like to get sick from being exposed to alcohol for too long. The doctor said it wasn't good."
