A Little Away

The day has changed. When many people welcome the new day with enthusiasm, but not for Selena. His heart still hurts, the new day feels cloudy gray. He looked uninspired, but in front of Daniel he was trying to be okay.

As usual, Selena leaves for Daniel's office. Even the man also gave a box of supplies for Selena. What an attitude too sweet, for someone who had blatantly rejected Selena. Daniel's sweet attitude also makes Selena can not hate him. This guy is too sweet for Selena.

Arriving in front of the office, Selena let go of her seatbelt and spoke briefly with Daniel.

"And later in the afternoon don't pick me up. I have a job until night."

"But you're sure it's just work, right? You didn't mean to visit your father, did you?"

"Yes, I'm in the office. There's some important work to do."

"Ah, yes. When you go to Dad's house, you'll hear. You don't go there by yourself, whenever you want to go to Dad's house, I'll take you. Okay?"

"Yes Dan, don't worry, I don't want to go there yet either, because there's still a lot of work. For the next few days I'll be busier, Dan."

Selena just looked back and smiled slightly at Daniel. After that, Selena returned to her feelings as a heartbroken person. Selena walked with heavy steps. His heart and mind were still there for Daniel. However, if staying in the apartment was a stupid act for him. Going to the office to work was the right choice because he would not see Daniel all day. His mind could be diverted to finish his work at the office.

This morning, Selena went straight to her room and turned on the Personal Computers (PCs) on her desk. After that, he began preparing any reports that his superiors needed to check this morning. Selena had solemnly intended to occupy herself as busily as possible, so that she could release her thoughts from Daniel.

When Selena was still focusing on the rows of tables on her computer, someone was present greeting her.

"For Selena...." His superior, none other than Dexter Anthonius.

"Eh Mr. Dexter.... Morning as well sir."

"My agenda today and later the report that I have to check, please prepare yes Selena."

"Good Sir. I'll check first. Please wait a minute, sir."

"Hmmm.." Dexter immediately passed from Selena's presence and entered her room.

In her heart, Dexter was happy to see Selena this morning. However, for some reason the shadow of seeing Selena and Daniel while attending her CEO's wedding a few days ago made Dexter's heart ache. Dexter's feelings become unpleasant, but he should not behave rashly. He must first make sure of everything. If he acts rashly it is fatal, not only for him but also for Selena.

Feelings that come back after 7 years have passed. A very long time. The time that makes Dexter really a cold person and not interested in the lives of others. However, why could his heart feel something like this a little to Selena.

A few minutes into his room, Dexter simply daydreamed and moved the pen in his hand. It was as if so many thoughts were raging in his head.

Dexter's daydream is instantly gone, as Selena knocks on his door.

The knocking of the door.

"Excuse me sir." Say hello to Selena while opening the door.

"Yes in."

"Sir, this is your schedule for today. And, here's a report you should check immediately." Said Selena while handing over some document files to Dexter.

"Hem, lunch sir? But I brought the supplies sir. How ya?"

"If you can eat later, there's something I need to talk to you about anyway."

Selena seemed to think, what else Dexter wanted to say to her. But, to respect his superiors finally agreed to the invitation of his superiors.

"Good Sir. If there is nothing to say anymore I come out sir. Thank you." Thank you."

"Hem." Dexter answered briefly.

Like Dexter asked this morning. Dexter is currently with Selena in one of the Japanese restaurants not too far from her office.

Various Sushi and Green Tea (Ocha) menus have been served in front of Dexter and Selena.

"Taken Selena. Don't be shy."

"Yes, thank you sir."

"If you want to add, you please add again."

"Thank You Sir."

"Selena, may I ask you a question?"

"Can you ask me what sir is about?"

"Sorry this personal question has nothing to do with work. How long did you know Daniel, your boyfriend?"

"Oh, Daniel. Not long ago Sir. Why Sir? Does Mr. Dexter want to know my friend better?" Selena was actually investigating in her heart why Dexter suddenly asked her about Daniel.

Overtime was also an opportunity for Selena, because this morning she had told Daniel that she would be overtime this afternoon. And, it turns out that Dexter did provide additional work for Selena.
