The New Morning

The night has passed, the sun again greets with its warm rays to all beings on Earth. The day has changed bringing all his memories, and the new day comes giving him the opportunity to do his best.

Today is a new day for Selena. The first time in his life, he left his home and his father. He has decided to save himself from the atrocities committed by his own father almost every day. A new day for Selena.

As soon as she woke up, Selena went straight to the bathroom to wash her face and brush her teeth. When he finished, he rushed to the kitchen. The morning still shows at 7am, but Selena intends to make breakfast. Looking at the ingredients available in the fridge, Selena prepared to make toast, warm milk, and hot chocolate. Selena made hot chocolate because she remembered Daniel who loved chocolate.

Almost finished making breakfast, Daniel out of his room, he went to the kitchen where Selena was preparing breakfast.

"For Selena, it turns out you're awake." Say hello to Daniel who is standing on the kitchen island.

"For Daniel, yes, I'm used to waking up early."

"You have a good habit, wake up in the morning is a good habit. What are you doing?"

"Oh, here I make breakfast. I took bread and jam from the fridge."

"What did you make?"

"It's toast. Have you tried it?"

"Hehehe, I've never tried it."

"Oh, then I'll make you some toast with chocolate jam."

Daniel just smiled and slightly nodded his head hearing Selena's offer to try her toast.

Not long after, Selena brought toast, warm milk, and hot chocolate to the dinner table.

"This is Daniel, hot chocolate for you. Drink it while it's hot." Selena gave Daniel a cup of hot chocolate. Daniel accepted it.

"Thank you, Selena."

After that, Selena gave Daniel a toast filled with chocolate jam. To appreciate Selena, he ate the toast.

"What do you usually do every day, Cell?

"I work."

"Work what?"

"I used to be a private employee at one of the companies. The accounting staff at the company, but because of the accident, I was expelled. They said I'd been ditching work all day."

"Then what are you going to do?"

"Hmm, maybe I'll start looking for a job again. Do you think it's okay if I work again?"

"Yes, of course I can. You just have to work Selena. Don't waste your skills and talents."

Daniel is grateful if Selena can return to work, because by working Selena can forget the problems of her life. Moreover, it was also impossible for him to only be inside the apartment every day. It must have been very boring for Selena.

"Thank you Daniel. If you what are your plans? What are you gonna do?"

"I'm just gonna take care of this apartment, hehehehe. I was also thinking of starting to plant flowers in this apartment. I want to put some flowers on that balcony. With a planter box, maybe the balcony will be more beautiful. I also intend to put the potted plant there."

"You miss your flower garden, don't you? You don't want to work?"

"I'll work from home. Isn't there now a job that can be done from home so there is no need to bother to the office?"

Daniel had previously surfed in cyberspace, he was looking for information that in this day and age, a lot of work can be done from home, so there is no need to come to the office to work. Before Seleba asked many things, Daniel had prepared the answer. So that Daniel can give a reasonable answer to Selena.

"Ah, that's right. It's called Work from home, work from home. So many people are working from home."

Selena justified Daniel's answer because in this day and age humans can do work from home, armed with a laptop or habdphone connected to the internet. However, jobs engaged in the service sector, have not been able to fully do work from home.

"Selena, when are you going to start looking for a job?" Daniel asked with a look at Selena's face.

"Maybe next week. These few days, I will prepare a cover letter and curriculum vitae first."

"If you're a bit of a fan, can you teach me how to use electronics in this house? Want me to buy planting media and flower seeds? Because I don't know much about the situation in this city. By taking you may be easier."

Hearing Daniel's words, Selena smiled back. He remembered his delusion last night about the Man from Mars. How funny Daniel asked for help to be taught to use existing electronic equipment.

"Yes I will teach you and take you to the flower market. What flowers do you want to plant on the balcony?"

"Some aglonema may be good, Roses, Pansies, Chrysanthemums, and Petunias will be beautifully placed on that balcony."

Daniel's eyes twinkled with the names of the flowers. He truly yearns for the flowers that grow daily in the garden of Edenweis.

"Well, you're great Daniel! You can name different flowers. While I only know roses and jasmine everything is beautiful. Ahhaha..."

Selena laughed and felt amused because she actually remembered the song See My Garden created by Ms Sud where the end of the lyrics said, ". jasmine roses are all beautiful." 😅

Daniel also laughs, he laughs not because he knows the lyrics of the song See My Garden that Selena said, he actually laughed because he saw Selena's face that looks funny when laughing.

"How about tomorrow we plant the flowers? I will tell you the names of the flowers. I know almost all the flower names."

"Can. Seriously you know almost all the flower names?"

"Yes. Seriously." Nodding Daniel's head beckoned indeed he knew almost all the names of the flowers.

"Tops. So great are you."

Selena patted her hand which signified that she was so salute to Daniel who understood all the names of the flowers.

"That's because I used to work in a flower garden, not because I was great. Cook every day working in a flower garden but do not know the name of the various types of flowers that are there is strange."

"Daniel, what's the flower garden you work in?"

This time Selena was curious, what kind of flower garden where Daniel worked. Selena thinks must be a fairly large garden and there are various types of flowers there.

"Hmm, it might be almost similar to the Versailles flower garden in France. My flower garden is vast, and there is a giant fountain in the middle of its garden. There are indeed many workers there who plant and care for various flowers every day."

Selena smiled to hear Daniel who was very enthusiastic about telling the flower garden where he worked. Thus, Selena also hopes to get to know Daniel more and make sure that Daniel does not have evil intentions to him.
