Daniel and Dexter

"And, Mr Dexter wants to be friends with you?" Selena started a conversation with Daniel. While drinking hot chocolate in a cafe located not far from Daniel's apartment.

"Sir Dexter? Isn't he your boss that we met at the CEO Buana Corp's wedding.?" Daniel asks Selena, and she recalls that he met Dexter at the wedding.

"Yes, Mr. Dexter is my superior. He said he wanted to be friends with you. When I asked him why he wanted to be friends with you, he said that he did not have many friends here. And he wants to be friends with me too. Isn't that weird?"

"Why do you think it's weird, Selena?"

"Because all this time I was actually an introvert person (a person who tends to be quiet, withdrawn, and likes to be alone.) and after all I was his secretary, he said, I don't want to be involved in a personal relationship between a boss and his secretary."

Daniel noticed Selena, he also knew that Selena was a closed person, not easy to be close to others, and not easy to be close to others, and he knew that Selena also did not want to be involved in the scandal of superiors and secretaries that often occur during this time.

"If I think, being friends is not Selena's problem. Don't we need friends in this life?" Daniel answered with consideration.

Daniel nodded slightly, and he agreed to befriend Dexter. "Yes, I want to be friends with him. I don't think being friends with him is bad. Besides, I've only known you all along. It'll be good if I have another friend."

"Okay, then I'll tell Mr. Dexter tomorrow that you're friends with him."

The next day, Selena went to the office again. He has to finish a job he didn't finish last night. Especially the reports from the financial division that he had to finish immediately.

Selena has neatly used black material pants and a navy blue shirt. Her hair was left unraveling. Selena entered the office while the office was still quiet, not many staff had entered because it was still very early in the morning.

Arriving in her room, Selena immediately turned on her computer. He reopened the table he worked on last night. He will finish soon, leaving early is the right choice when the brain is still fresh, not much distraction, and the room is still quiet so is a supportive time to get the job done.

And, sure enough, by the time the working hours began, Selena's job was done. The files that were originally still in the computer, now all have been printed and the paper file sheet is neat in one map and ready to be given to the supervisor later.

Selena is still struggling with the computer in front of her, she checks all the incoming emails and she files all the emails, until a greeting breaks her attention.

"For Selena...." A baritone voice that implied a cold aura greeted him.

"Oh, yes. Good morning Mr. Dexter."

"You left early in the morning, Selena?"

"Yes, Sir. Didn't I say last night I would leave early to work on the financial report sir. And, I came early to finish it."

"Oh... Yeah, great. You mean responsible Selena."

"Thank you sir." Selena is short

"So is what you're doing done?"

"It's Sir."

"Well, leave it to me in my room."

"Good Sir."

Dexter left Selena's room, and entered her room. While Selena rechecked her report file and she knocked on her superior's door.

"Sir Dexter, this is a finished report. Please check, sir."

"okay, okay. I'll check first."

"Hem, Mr. Dexter... This is outside of work, I told Daniel last night that you wanted to be friends with him. And, Daniel agrees sir. He wants to be friends with you."

"Okay, good news. Tell Daniel later in the afternoon after work we can eat together. And, you should go with Selena, too. Because I want to be friends with you too."

"Hem, good sir. Then I'm out sir. I still have to file the incoming email."

"Yes, thank you Selena."

[Daniel, later this afternoon after work Mr. Dexter wants to take us to our first meal. I told him you wanted to be friends with him.]

No need to wait long, Daniel immediately replied to a message from Selena.

[Okay, okay Selena. I'll pick you up later in the afternoon.]

In the afternoon, at a cafe not far from Selena's workplace, the three of them sat together. Starting a new friendship is better done while eating food and drinks to be more familiar.

"Please order what?" Dexter opened the conversation while thrusting the menu book to Selena and Daniel who were sitting in front of him.

"I'm Karamel Macchiato cold sir." Selena Sahut.

"I'm just chocolate frappe." Daniel's Law.

"You didn't order any food?" Dexter asked Daniel and Selena.

"You want to eat chocolate cake, Dan? Can we order one for both?" Selena offered Daniel a cake.

"okay. Choose one, whatever you want." Daniel answered by unraveling a smile at the girl sitting next to him.

"Cake Chocolate mille crepes only one, Mr. Dexter." Selena.

"OK on good."

While waiting for their order to come, the three were talking to melt the atmosphere.

"Thank you Mr Dexter for being friends with me?" Daniel opens a conversation with Dexter.

"Together Daniel."

"If you may know, why would Mr. Dexter want to be friends with me?"

"I feel like you're a good person, Dan. Besides, I don't have many friends here."

"O. well sir, we can be friends."

"Where did you live before, Dan? What work?" Ask Dexter who actually wants to investigate more details about Daniel.

"Daniel from abroad, sir." Selena Sahut.

"Oh, huh? Where's where?" Dexter's forehead crinkled at Selena's reply.

"I'm not from here sir, yes I'm from abroad. I used to work in my Master's flower garden."

"Oh yes... Now what's your job?"

"I work from home, sir."

When Daniel finished answering Dexter's question, the waiter came to deliver their order. Cold Macchiato Caramel, Chocolate Frappe, Chocolate Mille Crepes, and Ice Chocolate for Dexter.

"Please, let's eat it. If less can be added." Dexter to Daniel and Selena.

"Thank you Mr. Dexter." Selana and Daniel thanked her together so that it looked like a choir.

"hem, equally. Selena, so how do you want to not be friends with me?" Ask Dexter while drinking his iced chocolate.

"Didn't I say yesterday that it's better to be professional, sir. I don't want to get involved in gossip with you."

"Huh, you're funny Selena. People don't need you to think." Dexter smiled blandly at Selena.

"But I feel bad, sir."

"We can be friends like you are friends with Daniel. Isn't that Daniel?"

Daniel looked at Dexter's face in front of him, only smiling at the corner of his lips.
