The days that Ratna awaited and Vishnu finally arrived. What else if not routine control of pregnancy Intan.
Intan, who previously checked in at a small hospital, is now moving to an elite hospital that is usually a subscription to artists and officials, on the orders of her mother-in-law. To Adelia alone, she never did.
Instead of embarrassment, Ratna asked Adelia to do a health check at a small hospital that was an hour away from home.
"These plants have to be tidy after we get home, Del!" ratna's word to the eldest son-in-law. The woman told Adelia to help with their gardener's work this morning.
Adelia nodded her head. Adelia who now only wears trousers and home shirts, while carrying a bucket containing garden tools, looks very sad when compared to Intan who looks fashionable and shining.
Adelia grabbed Ratna's hand to kiss her, and Ratna hurriedly pulled her hand before Adelia's lips managed to touch the back of the hand.
While Vishnu was reluctant to return Adelia's gaze even though the wife kissed her hand as gently as possible.
"Oh, go there! Why is it still here? Wanna come? Who is crying you!" chirp Ratna was rude once she found Adelia never leaving. Though the woman is indeed a habit of waiting for the husband to really leave the house.
Hearing Ratna's scorn, Intan gave a small smile. Adelia could even see the young lady glancing at her with a less than pleasant look at heart.
Adelia relented and chose to leave. Before long, Vishnu's car left their residence.
"Mom really want to help me? No, ma'am, let me. I'll tell you later that Mom helped me." Mang Ujang who served as the gardener of this house, felt bad when he knew Adelia would help his work. The 45-year-old man actually felt concerned about the treatment Adelia got here.
"It's okay, Mang, count-count I learned to garden. Please help, Mang, everywhere I have to do," replied Adelia kindly.
Mang Ujang nodded his head. For almost five minutes the man briefly explained how Adelia cut off the leaves or stems of dead plants, also planting new seeds in a small greenhouse owned by the mother-in-law.
...**********...
Intan could not cover her admiration when the girl set foot in the luxurious hospital. Even he didn't bother waiting in long lines like he did in the hospital before.
After registering, Intan, Vishnu, and Ratna went straight up to the third floor of the building to the practice room of Doctor Kusuma, the best and most expensive obstetrician in this hospital.
The waiting chair outside the doctor's room there are only three patients with mothers with the typical glamour appearance of the rich.
Intan gasped, when he found Vishnu's hand cold when he accidentally came into contact with him.
"Mas, what's wrong with you? Your hands are cold" Intan said.
Vishnu was silent for a moment. "I'm .. nervous."
Hearing that, Intan laughed a little. She understood that this reaction from her husband, because the man had never experienced anything like this before.
Ratna who sat on the other side of Intan also said so. "After ten years, Mama was finally given the opportunity to see the development of her granddaughter" Ratna said with teary eyes.
Intan immediately hugged her soft in-law body.
"Yes, Ma, I will definitely take care of this child with all my might!" reply Intan sure.
"Not only your son, but you too."
Intan who was still hugging Ratna nodded her head. Not a single person was aware, the mysterious look on Intan's face at the moment.
After waiting for a while, the nurse called out Intan's name.
"Good morning, Mrs Kencana," said Kusuma, a doctor who turned out to be a doctor of almost sixty years with a series of medical education degrees both in and abroad.
"Morning, doc," replied Intan. The woman was no less nervous with all the handling and classy appearance of the doctor and hospital nurse.
The four of them also talked for a moment about the pregnancy book that Intan got from the hospital before.
"Good, all good. Now that he's entering his nineteenth week, let's see how he develops." Doctor Kusuma then asked one of the nurses who accompanied him to help Intan lie in bed to do a four-dimensional ultrasound.
Upon hearing the baby's heartbeat, Vishnu and Ratna did not stop thanking him while shedding tears. Especially when knowing that the baby conceived Intan is a baby boy.
Without shame, Ratna even vividly told Doctor Kusuma that this was her first grandchild whom she had been waiting for ten years for from the son's second wife. Ratna also recounted how Adelia's treatment over the years but never came to fruition.
"Ahh, so it seems. If you want, just try your first daughter-in-law brought here so I can check. Who knows, there is something that is missed, even though it is impossible. Because, I'm sure the doctor who handles your daughter-in-law must also be very competent." In honor of Ratna's story, Doctor Kusuma volunteered to help check on Adelia's condition.
Ratna shook her head. "No need, Doc, I know for a fact that it's going to go to waste. After all, for me it doesn't matter anymore, because now I have another healthy daughter-in-law."
Doctor Kusuma could only smile when he heard Ratna's reply, although in his heart he regretted the woman's attitude. However, as a professional doctor, he has no right to interfere in the personal affairs of his patients.
After completing the ultrasound, the doctor then wrote down some vitamin prescriptions for regular consumption by Intan.
"Thank you, Doc," said Vishnu with a face sumringah, followed by Intan and Ratna.
"Sama-sama" replied the doctor. The three went to the first floor to make up for the vitamins that had been prescribed.
While waiting, Vishnu continued to hold Intan's right hand while kissing him occasionally.
It certainly makes Intan feel happy. "Mas, shame on people! There's Mama too, huh!" hiss Intan pretended to be angry.
"Leave it! Let them all see that I am now happy because of my wife's pregnancy" Vishnu replied. The handsome man with the sharp nose then lowered his head to Intan's stomach and kissed her gently.
"Grow up healthy and perfect, a master of Daddy," whispered Vishnu lirih.
Ratna again glazed to see her favorite son as emotional. After a long wait of ten years, he was finally able to feel how wonderful it was to be a father.
