Chapter 60: Steve and Adelia.

Steve again could not close his eyes, because he was too focused on thinking about Adelia who was disappointed with her actions.

Adelia is not defending Vishnu nor his family, she just does not want to get involved with them all anymore.

Not to mention the fact of the child conceived Intan, because for Adelia, it is better to face divorce with Vishnu, because the man has impregnated another woman than the actual fact like this.

Everything Steve did was only able to add to Adelia's heartache.

"Siiiayall!" steve got up from his bed and left the apartment.

"Where are you going?" ask Alex who's taking a drink in their kitchen.

"Fuck!" answer Steve quickly.

While drinking, Alex widened his eyes. "Huh?"

Along with that the sound of the apartment door being closed. As fast as lightning Steve drove his car to Adelia's house.

It didn't take long, the man had arrived in front of Adelia's house. Seeing that the lights inside the house were still on, Steve decided to press the bell.

"Steve!" adelia exclaimed when she found the figure of her boss' sister standing there. The man looks disheveled in his sleep suit.

"There's time?" steve asked as he lifted a plastic bag containing several cans of soft drinks.

Minutes passed, but neither of the two started the conversation first. Adelia was just busy sipping a can of soda while gazing at the night sky in her yard, while Steve started lighting the cigarettes he bought at the minimarket.

"When do you smoke?" Adelia reflexes her voice.

"It's been a long time." Steve replied briefly.

"Never seen!" adelia.

"I don't want Alex to come back and block my credit card!" said Steve while sipping his cigarette and removing the cigarette smoke.

"You deserve it, naughty boy!"

Hearing Adelia's grunt, Steve widened his eyes and looked back at the woman with an annoyed look. However, instead of returning Steve's sharp gaze, Adelia snorted and smiled.

"I know, because otherwise you wouldn't have taken days off like this, would you?"

Adelia frowned. "Know where I'm taking my leave because of you? It could be because of something else. Even if it was because of the incident, I would definitely feel hurt by all the tricks Intan did."

Steve threw his cigarette into the empty can of the drink. "Are you feeling hurt?" ask the man later.

"Don't I tell you, it's better this divorce happens because Vishnu has impregnated his lover. Knowing the truth makes me look stupid, Steve!" said Adelia.

"Stupid? So you regret having divorced Vishnu?" ask Steve again.

"Absolutely not!" adelia answered firmly. "I just feel like all my tears are in vain."

"A very, very illogical reason in my mind."

"Indeed!" A small laugh came out of Adelia's mouth immediately, which immediately made Steve look surprised.

"You're gillaa?"

Hearing the question, Adelia reflexively stopped her laughter and turned to look at Steve with a cynical look.

"Oops, sorry!" steve said grimacing.

Adelia shrugged her shoulders. Just as he was about to say something, Steve was already back in his voice.

"I'm sorry for what happened in the past. I know, you're very angry that you don't want any revenge, either because you're too good or something. Not so with me." The mood suddenly quiet for a moment.

"I hate to see that woman happy, I hate to see her do evil, and what I hate most is knowing that my son was born from her womb" Steve said in a soft voice.

Adelia was silent for a moment. "I was angry at first, Steve, but after I thought, maybe this is one of the best ways to awaken Vishnu. Take it easy, I don't think about it anymore."

Steve took a slow breath. "Then, what are you going to do after this?"

Adelia smiled knot. "I'm the one who should ask that."

Steve was only able to reply to Adelia's gaze without taking out another word.
