Ataraxia Abyss

Ataraxia Abyss
Chapter 3: The Border

Regal is currently dealing with someone who saved his life.

A tall and handsome man with long, stylish silver hair that towered at various points on his head.

Her clothes also looked very formal, looking like what nobles used to wear, but it seemed flexible enough to fight.

"First let me introduce myself. My name is Adrian Teloch, if you humans call me Teloch.

Teloch the God of Death and the Underworld. What is your name, O man who fell into my house?"

Regal emboldened himself and advanced closer.

"My name is Regal, I apologize for breaking into your house. And I thank you for helping and taking care of my wounds."

Adrian saw Regal from his throne, he spoke again.

"I know that you fell into my house by accident so I don't mind it.

But when we found you your hands and your chest were like hot water, your ribs were broken but not from falling from a height, and various other injuries.

Can you explain where the whole wound came from?"

Regal was reluctant to speak, Adrian could see that and he stood up and walked up to him.

"We have plenty of time, you can explain when we're ready."

Regal shook his head and replied. "No, I'll tell you now..."

Teloch smiled at her, patting Regal on the shoulder to get her to follow him.

As he walked, Regal finally started telling stories.

"I don't know who my parents are, temple priest Aria found me at their doorstep in the rain."

Regal recalls the past, where priests began to care for him at the temple as the only child with no family in the village.

Even until the age of 3 years they still care for Regal with affection, but when he was 4 years old the incident began to occur.

As everyone slept, the cries of the priests and people whose homes were close to the temple were heard throughout the village.

Everyone broke into the house and tried to save those people. Whoever it was, when you asked about it, they gave the same testimony.

Those who wriggled in pain opened their eyes but their pupils were nothing like those who were still asleep...

After shouting for a full half hour, they were all dead... All of them who fell asleep there were no survivors be it adults or children.

But as the night went silent, everyone heard the sound of crying inside the temple, and that voice was the sound of Regal crying.

People began to keep him away from the temple and went to the village chief's house for safekeeping.

Some people believe that this was the result of black magic that one did, but the fact that Regal survived makes him debated as a prodigy or a cursed child at the time.

After a long deliberation, Regal was finally found not guilty because children began to awaken his magic at the age of 10 years. It was impossible for him to be found guilty.

And in the musyarawah Regal finally lived as the son of the village chief at that time. Regal began to get a new life, but there are some residents who stay away from him because of worry.

It made himself hidden by the village chief, the wife of the village chief at that time also began to teach Regal at home for fear that he would be bullied at school.

For once again he felt the warmth of the family, but once again he felt the bitterness when left by those who cared for him...

One day when the new sun was rising, people were confused by the sound of screaming that woke them all up.

The shout came from the village chief's house, and once they checked it was all too late.

The village chief was dead along with his wife and children, they were all dead with bodies dried up like their souls had been absorbed.

And for the second time, only Regal managed to survive the unexplained occurrence.

Everyone was back in a fuss with this matter and Regal became a topic of debate again, but a witch came to their village at that time.

But the village elders finally decided that he was again innocent because he had not been sensitive to magic energy.

Everyone again assumed the demons were terrorizing their village. But more and more people are thinking this is Regal...

What Aiden was afraid of was starting to feel right, his fear grew even greater when everyone in the village could not dream and could only see emptiness while asleep.

Musyarawah was re-done after this incident occurred for 3 full months.

Everyone began to believe that Regal was the cause of all this, but in front of everyone he denied and claimed not to dream as everyone.

Regal escapes again, but everyone's hatred and doubts get bigger.

Regal began to fear the people, Aiden who was forced to accommodate him could not expel or kill him because he was considered innocent.

But the hatred grew more and more each day, the harder they all treated Regal.

The people who saw Regal get hurt would definitely get the same answer when asking.

"It's my fault..."

That's all that comes out of a child's mouth who doesn't know anything about it. Regal didn't even understand at the time why he was being treated inappropriately in the family.

He was only 5 years old at the time and he had to be the laughingstock and torment of his vile family who were not afraid to attempt murder on him.

Adrian who saw it did not put on a face of pity, but an angry face mixed with disgust every time he heard how the family who should take care of him instead tried all means to kill him.

"If you have the power do you want to kill them?"

Adrian asked, but Regal shook his head.

"Killing them doesn't make me any better, it would be better for me to make money with my power."

Regal replied with his fed up face, he did hate his family but there was no point in killing them all.

Adrian smiled at Regal. "Is that so? Tell me, if I give you strength, will you accept it?"

Regal was silent to hear it. "What do you mean?"

Adrian laughed heartily at Regal's confusion and explained.

"What is in you is not human blood... There's the blood of an Incubus inside you and you still don't know it even after killing people?

It's obvious you need help from the lord of the afterlife..."

Regal fell silent and thought for a moment. What happened all this time really happened because of him. Eventually Regal asked again.

"What do you get from a human child who has demonic blood like me?"

Adrian answered with a smile. "I just thought that you were an interesting person."

Adrian and Regal were walking, but finally they came to a door.

When Adrian opened it, Regal was amazed by what was in front of him.

The room was filled with glass bottles with boiling clear liquid, a ball that shut down the lightning inside, and many other things.

"I asked Regal again, I offer you powers, magic, and science that have been buried since dark times.

What you have will not be able to buy a dime of the things I offer, even with your soul..."

Regal finally began to take a close look at all of the items.

"All this, you give it away for free?"

Adrian smiled at Regal. "When I was sent to be the ruler of the underworld I was really disappointed.

Other than the screams of the inhabitants of hell, the only thing that amuses me is the old wine and my research.

But seeing you come down from the upper world and fall before me, I think this is called fate..."

Adrian saw Regal who began to smile, a face that had only bemoaned fate and hoped his fate would soon change was now smiling with his curiosity for science.

"Well, if Aria doesn't want this child then I'll just take care of her..."
