Chapter 59: Nightmare

Regal wakes up in a place, where he sees nothingness everywhere, no light or anything there that Regal can see in the darkest darkness. While he was observing the situation, suddenly from under his feet came the hands that were restraining him. Regal tried to resist but the strength of the hands was too strong that Regal was forced to kneel. And when he knelt down, in front of him was a man dressed in black, Regal could not see his face and only saw the darkness behind the black hood.

"Who are you?!!" The moment Regal asked, the man slowly placed his hand on top of Regal's head, and in an instant Regal was able to feel pain that exceeded the pain he had experienced in his entire life. Regal finally expended his energy and made all the hands that constricted him crumble along with the man. As he adjusted his breath, Regal saw the person slowly disappearing like it was fusing with the darkness. "You will be Regal's bridge, you will always be his bridge..." A moment after Regal woke up on his boat, he was sweating coldly and looking very pale, he then looked around and he was still in the ocean but he could already see he was almost on land.

Hearing Regal's voice, Kallen who had been sleeping was finally awakened. "The legal...? Huh!! Regal what's wrong with...your eyes...?" Kallen seemed to see something from Regal's eyes, but from his reaction it seemed to have returned to normal. "What's Kallen doing?" Kallen shook his head and replied. "No, maybe I'm the one who's not focused. The sun hasn't come up yet, maybe I saw it wrong." Regal was obviously confused but he did not want to press Kallen any further and said. "We're almost there..." Kallen then looked around, he saw the land was near, Regal and Kallen finally arrived after a while, they then returned the rented ship and took their horses back to their homes.

But on the way, Regal was still curious and asked. "Kallen, what did you see in my eyes? You don't look all right after that." Kallen answered. "It's okay... I was just surprised to see your eyes change color, from blue to purple. But like I said, maybe I haven't focused." Hearing the explanation Regal was calm again, they finally reached their home after a long journey. Arriving at home, Regal immediately drank a bottle of wine while aloof in his reading room. It had been the umpteenth time he had such a nightmare on the ship, yet for the first time he felt so helpless. Confused Regal finally gulps down his drink and goes to the basement to meet Adrian.

As soon as he opened the door, he walked out of the door of his old room, and from there he went to the throne room. But there was no one, seeing Adrian who was not there obviously made Regal confused, he tried to go and look but he was stopped by one of the maids he knew. "For a long time no see Young Master." Seeing the maid, Regal greeted her but with an agitated face. "How are you Elaine. Do you know where Adrian is?" Elaine also answered. "Mr Adrian is on business in Celestia, he said of your research and also your behavior towards Paladin Roland. You must be careful Young Master, you are the beloved son of Mr. Adrian, but Roland is also the favorite child of Goddess Aria and several other Gods."

"Geez, you really brought the paladin to its knees. As expected of our Young Master... And you're married, too, hearing that I'm happy for you, but it seems we can't continue the relationship like we used to. It's a pity that Young Master has become an established man..." Regal who heard him smiled and replied. "You really haven't changed, how long have I left the Abyss in your perspective?" Elaine smiled and said. "That's not important! By the way, did you say your eyes changed color all of a sudden? Is it possible that the Mystic Eye you have is beginning to evolve?" Regal shook his head. "I don't know, the pain I had in that nightmare was incredible, but it all came from these eyes." Elaine also answered. "Well, the Mystic Eye there's all kinds. Regal began to ponder the words of Elaine, and finally stood on the stairs and saw Elaine. "I'm feeling a little better, then I go first, my wife must be confused if I'm not next to her when I wake up..." Elaine smiled too. "Your life is better than when you fall into the Abyss, everything is better. But I can see your eyes don't say that, they look empty, they're emptier than they used to be. Those eyes show the emptiness in you, when you close your eyes and tell a story in the upper world, you look happier than when you tell a story with your eyes open."

Regal who heard it instead of getting more depressed, he smiled at it. "Thank you for the criticism Elaine... Geez, you really know how to comfort a man." Hearing this, Elaine laughed and replied. "You can visit anytime, and you know I can still entertain without using my mouth, even if you want..." Regal smiled at Elaine's joke. "And that's him... The mischievous Elaine I know, see you again Elaine." The two of them eventually separated again. Elaine who saw Regal leave finally put on a sad face, she saw Adrian's throne and said. "I think you've found your soulmate up there, I'm stupid to think that we can both go back to how we were... Well, anyway you're a different person than before..."
