CUTS

CUTS
Quakes...

Abu and Umi fell silent a thousand words as soon as they heard all the explanations of the iron. Like lightning striking during the day is precisely to describe the mood of the two parents. Cut himself tried not to cry even though his heart hurt. What he was thinking about right now was how to treat the hearts of his parents who were also injured by this incident.

“I beg to be forgiven as much as possible even though I feel unworthy to be forgiven.”

Ash touched the shoulder of the besan, “This is all a trial for us. Patience and openness. We as parents can only plan, but God is all-knowing. Don't burden yourself with this problem. Give all to Allah, for only Allah is the All-knowing of all that is good and not of children. And as for the divorce issue, we just followed suit as Cut wanted. He has been big, every decision must be a risk and I am sure, Cut has also thought carefully.”

Abu hugged a glimpse of his besi with an airy heart. The two of them were only old men who were receiving the test to perfect his patience as a parent. Late at night, Mr. Fahri leaned his head on the car seat with eyes glaring out the window. He felt a great sadness especially when he kissed his grandson before leaving the Abu residence.

“Maafin Adi, Sir.”

“Did you also make a big mistake? If so, say now so that Father and Mother can think of the solution simultaneously.”

“Adi doesn't make mistakes like Fais, sir. Adi and Julie just don't obey your wishes to get married. Adi apologise for that.”

“Bapak will not force you to marry again. Marry if you want and make Faisal's problems a valuable lesson for you later.”

“The sky tonight is like something strange. The atmosphere feels different too. Why yes, Sir?”

Mr. Fahri looked out the window and said, “Wallah hua’lam”

The car kept on speeding away breaking the silence of the night until they arrived in front of the house. There was no sign of life after the incident. Pure Mother chose to sleep in Julie's room because of anger at the husband who had expelled Faisal. They are arguing. “Mr want something? Let Adi make.”

“No need, I want to rest.”

Both men of different ages finally choose to calm themselves in their respective rooms.

The dawn of Azan reverberated to wake up every person who was still asleep. Adi, who had been worried since last night to see his father, woke up and went to the father's room. “Where do you want to get up so early?”

Mr. Fahri immediately offered a question when he opened the door, the child had stopped in front of the door of his room.

“Bapak want to go to the mosque? I'm coming with ya?” instead of answering, Bang Adi asked back. And the question managed to make Mr. Fahri surprised but he tried to cover it up.

“Come!”

Bang Adi followed the father like a duck following his mother. The actions of Bang Adi did not escape the attention of Sister Julie. The corner of Kak Julie's lips attracted a small when she saw the almost impossible thing to happen to her second sister.

“Pak, this dawn feels strange huh?” adi told his father when they came home from the mosque.

“Any how? You're the one who rarely wakes up at dawn.”

“Si Father, just look at the birds a lot in the sky.”

“They wake up early to pursue sustenance is not like you are cool to sleep alone especially on Sunday.”

“Pak, we have coffee at the front shop would you like not? The delicious rice there is also delicious. Every now and then we have breakfast outside so as to ease the duties of the maid.”

Mr. Fahri stopped and looked at the son who had never been this close to him for a long time. “You healthy?”

Being asked like that made Adi sigh violently, “Sick people can not go to the mosque, Dear Mr. Fahri.”

Both enjoyed coffee and savory rice in front of the mosque casually. Pak Fahri almost never visited the stall before because he always prioritizes breakfast with family. Especially since there is Iskandar, Mr. Fahri always wanted to be with his grandson.

However, Bang Adi like finding the right way to lighten the burden of the father. Pak Fahri like forgetting the problem when meeting friends of one complex.

While eating, they talked many things and occasionally joked for the sake of jokes thrown from the mouths of other fathers. Bang Adi was only happy to see his father smile even to laugh at the jokes.

The time on the holidays is indeed passing quickly. It didn't feel like for nearly two hours they were sitting in the coffee shop. Bang Adi who usually goes to the gym every morning this week even forgets the schedule. He chose to make his father happy even if only by accompanying him to drink coffee.

A terrible shock from the bowels of the earth suddenly dropped various contents in the stall until the front roof was collapsed by the terrible shock. The panicked stallers then ran outside avoiding some of the items that had been scattered on the floor.

“Allahuakbar, astagrfirullah,subhanallah,”

Takbir and tahmid said endlessly in every mouth of frightened residents even some who cried when they felt how strong the earthquake they had never felt before.

Bang Adi pulled his father's hand and found a safe place on the side of the road. The riders panicked and some stalls around there also collapsed. Within seconds, the quake knocked down many buildings and sent residents into a panic. Bang Adi handed over the money of 30 thousand to the shop owner. He did not even take the change because the shop owner himself was still shocked by the sudden earthquake.

“Mr is fine? Any injuries?"

“Good, Good father. Let's go home!”

“It was so big earlier.”

Several houses along the complex collapsed, although not all. Residents were still scattered in front of the house including the family of Mr. Fahri.

“Bapak from where? We were afraid to think of Father. Going to prayer but not going home,” Brother Julie nagged while the mother just sat with a look of fear and anxiety to think of the youngest son. Seeing the wife, Mr. Fahri sat next to Pure Mother even though he did not speak.

“It seems to have stopped, sir. Are we going in?” ask Julie.

“Wait a minute!” replied Mr. Fahri briefly.

“Is Fais okay?” the question came out of Pure Mother's mouth while holding back a cry.

“After this we try to contact Fais.”

Mr. Fahri's reply immediately made Pure Mother look up at her husband. He smiled with relief because the husband had forgiven his youngest son.

“Air sea ride...”.

“Air sea ride...”

“Air sea ride...”
