CUTS
Two Sides...

"It turns out it's still the same. Nothing has changed. Do you come here often?" faisal asked as he looked at Cut who kept silent from leaving until they reached the beach.

"Don't silence me like that. I purposely invited you out so that we could tell each other freely without being awkwardly seen by our parents."

"sorry. I've never been alone like this before. All this time, I always went with Intan, Faris or Razi when he was still around."

"Then from now on you should get used to going both like this. Because I will often take you on the road.

"Don't!" sela Cut panic.

"Why? Take it easy, I'm not a jerk" Faisal said with a small smile.

"Not that. I'm actually afraid to go out with my brother like this. Mak Cek Siti must have told me everything about me, right?" Cut ventured to look at Faisal at a glance.

The eyes of the two meet. The gazes of the two contained a meaning that was difficult to be digested by each one. Cut disconnects their eye contact and turns his gaze toward the sea.

"Is that guy still after you?" ask Fais back.

"I don't know. We never saw each other again after I returned."

"What if you meet again? What are you gonna say?"

"I don't know."

Faisal took a deep breath as he looked at Cut lekat. Mak Cek Siti had already told her everything Cut had experienced before they got engaged.

“What about that soldier? Do you like it?” Cut was surprised and confused by Faisal's question. His eyes looked at Faisal as if asking to stop bringing up his past.

“No problem if you like it. Everyone has people they like including me.” again Cut was made surprised by Faisal's statement.

“We got engaged not because we liked each other but because our families wanted it. Don't tell me you like me because we only met 2 times. There's no way you can like someone that fast, right?”

“Truely said by my Brother that I have a girlfriend in Medan. We are one faculty but he is from Batam. L loved her. My parents don't know. If they knew, we couldn't be together."

“Why?” tanya Cut suddenly made Faisal laugh.

“He was a very devout Christian and his family. His family and family will never agree. You understand right?” Cut nodded his head.

“Then, how about you guys? Aren't you going to wait for him? Who knew he would come again once Aceh was at peace to marry you.” asked Faisal again.

“I choose a husband born in the same land.” replied Cut.

“I am sure in your heart there is still his name but it does not matter because in my heart there is also still his name. I hope we can understand each other for that. Can you accept me like this? It's not too late for you to end if you feel displeased.” Cut looked at her future husband. The man before him at this moment was truly beyond belief.

“Do we pretend to be married?” tanya Cut hesitated.

Faisal smiled, “There is no fake marriage if all the terms and harmony are met. We just don't force each other's heart affairs.” Cut confusion.

“I don't understand.”

Like taking a breath when Ijab kabul as well as when Faisal took a deep breath and explained everything until Cut understood.

The atmosphere of the provincial capital was still as usual. Gun contact is rarely heard but within a week two professors at a famous campus located not far from the center of the capital have died of bullet shots from unknown people.

While negotiations. Dialogue, MoUs and many more agendas from both sides are still going along without meeting points. Both sides still remained in their stance without thinking about how many more lives should be forcibly taken?

The day changed months. The wedding preparations were slowly felt. The marriage was agreed to be held at the house of Mak Cek Siti as a trustee of the Cut family. News of the wedding spread to Cut's hometown through invitations received by the Umi and Abu families.

While in the market environment, Pida the fried seller became the most active news spreader beating news shows on television. From the corner of the coffee shop not far from the market, a man sat with his eyes fixed on the newspaper sheet in front of him. His gaze was blank as his mind was shifting elsewhere.

Khalid was resting after returning home to take the fish to the market trader. For more than a month he worked at a fish drop in Lampulo dock.

“May you be happy!”

“Ilham, I have fulfilled my promise. May you be calm there!” his inner.

After sipping his coffee, he hurried away from the coffee shop. Cut decided to have this wedding as they had agreed. They agreed to live an easy and friendly household. The environment and association can open the mind and outlook of a person's life that is the case with Faisal. As for Cut, this marriage she will live in accordance with the wishes of her husband later. Without coercion and demands. Most importantly, her parents are happy.

Faisal often took her out. Far from the bottom of his heart, Cut harbored admiration for Faisal. Faisal's character is the same as Razi's. Being nearby makes Cut comfortable with a feeling of security and calm.

Almost every Sunday they always go for a walk to reap negative reactions from some people market residents.

“If you are engaged but do not let go both continue, Umi. As parents say, if often both the third must be Satan.” said one customer in Abu's shophouse who saw Cut go with Faisal.

“Iya, Umi. Abu should have banned them from leaving. Why not wait until the lawful first just brought around. Fear later after being satisfied brought even not to be married.” said the other mother.

Mae looked annoyed at the mothers. While Abu and Umi just say whatever the words of the mothers. Because Umi and Abu knew where Faisal was going to take Cut this morning.

“This one is beautiful, do you like?” ask Faisal.
