CUTS
Mourning Day...

Sobs accompanied the departure of the divine grandmother. Iskandar asked permission from ustad in the village to become the first and last priest for the grandmother. He also took a stretcher carrying the body of the grandmother to her final resting place. Iskandar also offered and prayed for the body of the grandmother who had been covered in land. Memories with the grandmother were not much but today she gave away the grandmother with a million sincere apologies from her heart.

It was late afternoon, the guests still kept coming to say their condolences. The Risma family came in the lead-up to the magrib as they would follow the tahlian that would take place after the magrib.

"You guys get changed in Papa's room there!” pinta Rendra's.

Iskandar followed the younger brother to his father's room. They took alternating baths and laid her body for a moment in bed. They had not had time to rest from earlier and without feeling, both eyes immediately closed.

Rendra who was about to take a bath and change clothes was shocked staring at the beautiful scenery before her eyes at this moment. His two sons were lying on one bed. A sight they never got all this time.

“Pa, -“ Rendra's index finger is directly placed on her lips.

The curious Cut took a peek and his heart was as if it was being watered by soothing water. Even her tears were unraveling looking at this beautiful and rare sight.

“Papa want photos first.”

Amidst the sadness that was afflicting them, it turns out fate said another. Togetherness of his two sons became solace for them. Some photos managed to get Rendra with his cellphone and he immediately sent to the mobile number of the wife and her two sons are still sound. After seeing the full scene, Cut immediately went down to see the preparations for the event later that night.

“Pa, want to eat now?” ask Cut gently to Mr. Wicaksono who still looks shocked.

“Let's go, Nak.”

“Eat! So that you are strong. We are old and need a lot of energy. Come on, I'm hungry too. Please prepare yes, Son!” pinta Pak Wahyu's.

The way Pak Wahyu was telling, Mr. Wicaksono immediately stood following his best friend to the dining table. While in the kitchen there is a aunt who is preparing a number of foods for the residents of the house.

Cut takes the plate then puts it on the table. He is like the one who has a house while Reni as the daughter of Mother Yetti and Riko is receiving guests who are their distant relatives.

“Happy are you now? No more setting you up in this house.” Cut stared in disbelief at the words that had just come out of the mouth of his former father-in-law.

“Mama did not see that his son always appeared in front as if he was the grandson of the Wicaksono family.” Risma.

“Sorry, we are still grieving. Please appreciate us!”

“Cih, your acting is convincing as well apparently. Just a reminder, I know very well her in-law jewelry. So don't try to take it! It's all Reni's not you!”

“Astagfirullah, Buk. I didn't think that far. I am from the village but I am not a thief.”

“Yes, I just reminded. Who knows you're a khilaf. Now that is the case, the reason for missing if caught yes, ‘i khilaf’ when it was intentionally.”

“Where there are ngaku, Ma.” Risma is back.

They left Cut with his cynical gaze. While Cut can only cry in his heart while serving food to his father-in-law.

“Patiently yes, Buk!” that was all the aunt could say whenever she heard the insults coming out of the mouths of her late master or friends.

Towards the magrib, the two brothers had already woken up from their sleep. They perform congregational magrib prayers in a mosque not far from home. Guests around have begun to arrive to donate their prayers to the late Mother Yetti. Tahlilan went well until the end of Isya. As a representative of the family, Mr. RT gave a word to the mourners who had come.

The day had started the night, the Risma family decided to stay there because of a request from Mr. Wicaksono. Rendra also stayed there to accompany the father with his wife and two children. After tahlil, Mr. Wicaksono chose to rest in his room. He was too tired because from last night he was on guard to accompany his wife who had difficulty sleeping. Not unexpectedly if the anxiety of the wife last night is a sign if it is the last signs before the death pick up. Some relatives have also started returning to their homes.

“Ren, Aunt would like to remember you. Your deceased mama's room is better in the lock. We never know people's hearts, Mama you have a lot of jewelry. Don't lose it without you knowing.” Risma's mother reminded Reni in front of Cut who was cleaning the living room.

“Good Aunt, thanks for reminding.” Answer Reni.

“Alright, we rest first huh. You better rest too. Let the house be the maid's duty. Why do we pay dearly if we are still berberes also.” Reni gave a small nod then left to the two mothers and the child.

The two women of different ages were staring at Cut with the tail of his eyes. While outside, Anugrah and Iskandar who are still fresh because they have slept this afternoon are still watching while chatting with some neighbors.

“Assalamualaikum, I'm sorry, Is. Sorry I haven't been able to visit. I just got home an hour ago.” Reski.

Iskandar had reported about the death of his grandmother to his foreign friend till. Only Ari and his family will visit tomorrow because they are quite close compared to the others.

The phone rings again.

“Hallo,” said Anugrah still glanced at the sister who was replying to a message on her phone.

“I'm so sorry. Sorry because tomorrow can only be served there.”

“You want to come here?” ask Anugrah in surprise.

“Iya, tomorrow I start my leave and tomorrow morning directly fly there.”

“I picked ya!” pinta Anugrah's.

“No need, Mamang will pick up. You just wait at home. I went straight there with Mamang. Uh, there's Doni too.”

“Doni leave too?”

“Iya, she wants to go home too.”

“Oke, careful. Tomorrow I wait at grandma's house!”

“Greetings to your parents.”

Tuttts…

Next morning…

The atmosphere of the funeral home is still crowded with the presence of loyal relatives accompanying Mr. Wicaksono to live new days without a wife.

“Times we both feel lonely. When the house is crowded like this, Papa actually feels lonely.” said Father Wicaksono while at the dinner table. His children and grandchildren were all present at the house. But his heart still felt lonely without a wife.

“Already, we will all experience it too. It's just that we don't know who first experienced and lived. At least, you still have a chance to see your granddaughter get married. Anugrah is already big and can get married and then give you a great-grandson.”

Anugrah was upset because her appetite was disturbed by the words of her grandfather's best friend. It was not the matter of marriage that irritated Anugrah but the matter of her name being mentioned while her brother was also there.

“Do they not consider Brother as the grandson of this family?” inner Anugrah.

“Why should I get married, Aunt Risma who is much older than me is also not married.” Reply Anugrah is no less sharp.

Skakmatt's…

Both of Risma's parents no longer dare to mention marriage. Risma herself looks angry because Anugrah has brought her name. The atmosphere became awkward until the sound of people greeting ended the awkward atmosphere. They are Ari's family who came to visit. Rendra and Cut greeted their guests with a smile. Cut himself to the amazement of seeing the three twins who are now teenagers. Especially the youngest Anggia. She was so cute like a doll in her dress made Cut gobsmack.

Mr. Wicaksono joined the newly arrived guests. Iskandar invited Ari along to his three sisters sitting in the back garden. Anugrah came with a tray of drinks and a plate of cookies prepared by her mother.

The youngest Anggia secretly stole a glance at the two figures he had seen yesterday in his house.

“Which one do you like?” whispered Angga the twin brother who followed where the glance of the sister was aimed.

Anggia threw her face away when she realized the twin sister had caught her wet. While Ari was talking to Iskandar and Anugrah, a beautiful woman came side by side with a man.

“Tiara, Doni!” Smiling welcomes them.

Anugrah introduces Ari and her sisters and Iskandar whom they have never met before.

“Kak, we excuse you first yes!” Iskandar nodded and invited Tiara and Doni to sit in the living room. He also wants to meet Mamang.

“Mamang, thanks for coming all the way here.” Said Anugrah approached Mamang who had joined his family.

“Sama-sama, Son. You are higher now and add handsome.” Puji Mamang's.

“Thank you, Mang. A stay first yes!”

“Please,”

Anugrah returned to the living room where there was Doni and Tiara was drinking tea served by the aunt.

“Thank you for coming all the way here. You guys seem to feel at home working in the colonial company huh?” anugrah Seloroh.

“Gajinya big, A. Factory invaders are more tempting than indigenous factories.” Doni.

“Eh, if you are not comfortable with me, I join Mamang aja.” Doni said back.

“Casual, Don. We know the place kok.” Reply Anugrah.

“Eh, that's loe's big brother huh?”

“Loe does not like bananas, right?”

Tiara laughed hearing Doni and Anugrah joking as usual. “Cause is normal. But during work in the place of the invaders can hardly be girl, A. Home work dah cape, night abis eat directly sleep. When do I find a girl? The girls I meet every day are only three. One of them is Tiara.” Doni suddenly ventured.

“Moving if it is.” Anugrah Advice.

“Enough to move on same salary huh, Ra?”

“Yes, our friends one generation even want to enter there but can not. They only accept the best graduates and fresh graduted.” Answer Tiara.

“Wah, your girlfriend is beautiful too huh, Anugrah. You better marry someone soon than you marry. According to Auntie's experience, many employees fall in love with their office mates rather than being loyal to their partners out there. Moreover, you are far away, surely your girl needs a man who is always there when she needs it instead of waiting for your leave which is once a year. What kind of relationship does that meet once a year?”

Anugrah groaned annoyed at the ramblings of Risma that appeared out of nowhere. After being satisfied to provoke them, Risma carried on beautifully leaving Anugrah who was holding back in annoyance.

“Already, no need to load.” Tiara stroked the hand of Anugrah.

“But that said it has a point too. You've been dating for a long time, shouldn't you just get married?" doni's proposal that makes Tiara and Anugrah sit in silence.

“Until when do you guys keep going? I don't want to be your spokesperson for those guys anymore. Ra, you want if Anugrah invites marriage?” ask Doni move fast.

“Hah??”
