Chapter 15 - Shane's Hidden Identity

...༻◈༺...

"Julie, I'm going with you to Los Angeles!" june who was suddenly beside Julie. Both have entered the apartment building.

"Do it if you can" said Julie. He doesn't take June's statement seriously.

"Yes already. Then I'll go first. I have something to do." June disappeared. Even though the twilight is not completely over.

Julie shook her head with a faint smile. He did not want to think about what June had said that was protracted.

The reason June left Julie was because she wanted to do something. She's really serious about going with Julie to Los Angeles. June still doesn't know how. So now he's looking for Molly.

June just needs to come to the crossroads. There's where Molly used to sit.

"June! Did you tell Julie about me?" Molly greeted June with enthusiasm.

"About what?" june's forehead is wrinkled.

"About me needing his help! Did you forget that I helped you a lot that night?!" timpal Molly's.

"You mean the night Julie ate at the restaurant?" guess June who Molly responded to with a nod.

"You didn't help me at all! The situation at that time was very chaotic. I never promised to help you anyway" June said. His eyeballs immediately glanced up at the sky. He realized that the twilight was soon over.

"Basic has no conscience" commented Molly cynically.

"But now if you can really help me, then I will persuade Julie to help you. I promise!" said June. He looks so serious.

Molly's eyes were squeaking suspiciously. He asked, "What do you want?"

"I want to go with Julie to Los Angeles. I don't think I'm willing to let him go alone with his cup secretary." June explained at length.

"You must be kidding me. Are you jealous? Don't you realize who you are?" Molly was stunned in disbelief.

"I know! I just don't want Julie to pick the wrong guy again. What if he's in trouble and no one's helping? Fred almost raped her yesterday. If I wasn't around, maybe Julie wouldn't be helped!"

"You shouldn't have interfered with Julie's life this badly."

"Molly! Please..." June insisted.

Molly turned the puffed-up eyeball. He tries to understand June's excessive attention.

"I think of only one way" Molly said, holding her chin in one hand.

"What?" June was impatient.

"You must possess that geeky man again. I think that's the only way!" cetus Molly's.

"Is there another way? That guy named Shane is so uncool!" june protested, holding out two hands.

"Then you don't have to go with Julie to Los Angeles. He won't be long anyway, will he?" Molly surrendered. June wants too much.

June rubbed her face rough. He paused for a moment to think. Come to think of it, possessing Shane is the only way June can come with Julie.

"June, you-" Molly didn't talk when June disappeared. He sat back down and put on a blank look. Staring at the passerby before him in turn.

Meanwhile, June tries to find Shane's house. He remembers the direction of the man's way home opposite Julie's apartment.

June did a quick search as the twilight was a little over. He wants to know Shane. Before actually possessing the man.

After checking several places, June finally managed to find Shane's house. The glasses guy lives in a pretty shabby apartment.

"Your life is so predictable, Shane. Boring," muttered June. He approached Shane who was engrossed in sitting on the sofa.

Shane looks busy fiddling with his laptop. He took out a black notebook. Along with that, a piece of photo fell from there.

"Julie?" June can see that the photo Shane dropped was a photo of Julie while still in High School. In the photo, Julie is seen walking while hugging some books.

"I thought you weren't right! You must be stalking Julie, right?" timpal June with a nagging tone. But his words were certainly not heard by Shane.

Shane smiled as he looked at Julie's photo. "I'm still wondering why you accidentally got into this photo" he murmured with a smile.

"Not intentionally? You think I believe, huh?! Now I'm getting convinced to go to Los Angeles. I won't let a man like you get close to Julie!" June pointed her index finger at Shane's face.

Shane's phone is ringing. When he saw the name of the person calling out, he gave a rude snort. Shane instantly turned off the phone call.

"Paul Davison? Paul Davison isn't a successful businessman in tech, is he?" ask June curiously. Because he can see Paul's name written on June's cell phone screen.

As a ghost who often roams the streets, June certainly knows Paul Davison. The man who is known as the inventor of the most advanced and most expensive car in the world.

June grows suspicious when she sees Paul calling Shane again. Shane did not answer.

"You seem to be in close contact with Paul. Who are you, Shane?" June probing.

Shortly after, the door was knocked. Marry's voice, Shane's aunt calling. Shane opened the door for the woman.

"Mane! Paul called. Did you ignore the call again?" timpal Marry stepped in. He put his groceries on the kitchen table.

Shane did not respond to Marry's words. He sat down on the couch and got busy with his laptop. Marry approached.

"Shane, I know you're angry with both of your parents. But at least treat Paul and Naomi well. Even so, they're still your parents" said Marry.

"Paul and Naomi? They're your parents?! Crazy one! You're a conglomerate kid. But why do you live in such a shanty place?" June who heard the shock. He wondered why Shane's life looked so miserable. The Davison family is one of the richest families in the United States.

"I just don't want to rely too much on them. After all, they already have their own children to take care of," responded Shane flatly.

"Yes, as far as I know your father and mother are divorced. They now have their own families. So that's why you chose this life?" June again. He clicked his tongue while shaking his head.

"But you're their son too. Paul and Naomi kept asking me about your situation. Please give them some news occasionally. Okay?" Marry tried to give input.

"I didn't promise." Shane responded briefly. He immediately went into the room.

Now Marry could only sigh heavily. Trying to understand what Shane feels. Since childhood, the man suffered a lot. At the age of ten, Shane was used to hearing his father and mother quarrel. Shane is also often left home alone. Marry was the only one who accompanied.

Marry is not Shane's aunt. But the housemaid in Shane's house long ago. But the woman's duties change when Shane grows up and intends to stay home alone. Marry is assigned by Paul and Naomi to look after Shane.
