Ghost Dusk
Chapter 56 - Heart Degup

...༻◈༺...

Julie releases a hug from June. He looked at the handsome ghost's face. There was a bit of a strange feeling that Julie felt.

Despite feeling overwhelmed by the miracle that happened, Julie felt something was different. She felt her heart no longer pounding for June.

Julie threw away the doubts that had crossed her. She holds onto June's face and kisses the handsome ghost's lips. Expect to feel the same spark as in the past. Unfortunately it didn't happen. Julie herself doesn't even understand. One of her biggest desires is to touch June.

When June had just returned a kiss, Julie immediately removed her lips.

"I forgot to tell. Shane and I are going to Canada today" Julie said.

"I knew. Be careful" said June.

"You're not coming?" Julie probing. June is always overprotective of her.

"I'll just wait. I'm sure you and Shane won't fall in love, will they?" respond to June with a smile. She was actually disappointed by Julie's actions that suddenly stopped kissing her lips.

"Of course not." Julie answered while turning her eyeballs in the other direction. It was as if he did not dare to return June's gaze.

"I'll believe you, Julie. You have to trust me too." June gently caressed Julie's head. He looked at that beautiful face.

Julie just smiled. After being satisfied to talk to June, she immediately prepared to go to Canada.

Shane is standing in front of the mirror. That was when he was shocked by June's arrival. How not? The ghost suddenly appeared from the mirror.

"Holy sh*it !" Shane reflexes. But that made June laugh.

"It turns out a nerd can also swore. It's nice to know a Shane isn't that pure" June said.

"You show up in the mirror. Of course I'm shocked," Shane responded.

"sorry. I didn't mean to." June spoke while folding her hands on her chest. He continued, "my arrival here wants to tell the first stage of the binding ritual."

"What's that?" ask Shane. Ready listening.

"You should be close to Julie. Makes the girl feel comfortable with you. Because I see your interactions are a little awkward. And I think the reason is in you. You're so stiff, Shane. It's even stiffer than a robocop" June said at length.

"You know that's my personality." Shane lowered his face. He is not at all offended by June's criticism. Shane was disappointed in himself.

"Forget over. I'll help you. That's why I had to go without Julie's knowledge."

"okay." Shane nodded obediently.

"By the way, from now on you have to dominate the conversation. You always make Julie start a conversation." June held Shane's shoulder. He's talking seriously.

"Should it?" Shane scrunched his forehead.

"Yes, it also indicates that you're more manly."

...***...

Julie and Shane were in the car. They're on their way to the airport.

Unbeknownst to Julie, June gets in the car of a stranger walking by. He's watching Shane's car from there.

"Winter is coming to an end soon" Shane said. Trying to start a conversation.

"Yes, I can't wait for spring" responded Julie.

"of course. I know you like flowers."

"Oh my god, Shane. Are you stalking me? You know more about me than myself."

"When you went to high school to the plant-loving club. You also take good care of the principal's beloved flowers. I got to thinking you could get good grades because of that."

"really? I used to do that?" Julie chuckles. The same thing Shane did. Their conversation flows well.

"Yes, you are the favorite of all teachers." Shane tries to make himself comfortable talking to Julie. Shortly after, they arrived at the airport. So did June. The handsome ghost tries hard to hide from Julie's vision.

While getting on the plane, Julie accidentally stumbles. The woman fell when she almost arrived at her seat.

Shane rushed to help. He took Julie to the plane seat. After that, Shane checked on Julie.

Seeing Julie fall, June almost shows up. He stopped doing it because Shane helped Julie first.

"You okay?" ask Shane worriedly. "Tell me which part hurts?" continued.

"My feet.." - Julie as she endured the pain.

Shane checks Julie's leg. He gives a massage slowly.

"Lt!" erang Julie reflex. Especially when Shane pressed the sore spot.

"Sorry, I'll get you some ointment. I'm sure the crew has it." Shane was about to go see one of the flight attendants. But Julie prevented.

"Forget over! I'm doing fine. It'll recover when we get to Canada" Julie said.

"No! You must be treated. I'm afraid your pain will get worse." Shane's not listening. He hates to see Julie in pain.

After a few minutes, Shane brought back the ointment for Julie's leg. He applied the ointment carefully and attentively.

Julie looked at Shane. He felt a heartbeat that shouldn't have happened.

'What's this? What am I feeling? Why is my heart beating so fast for Shane?' inner Julie.
