Chapter 44 - Meeting Shane's Parents

Shane is currently consulting with a psychiatrist. He told her all the trouble he had been having lately.

"It looks like you're indeed suffering from a multiple personality disease. You must have had a traumatic experience, right?" said the psychiatrist named Anika.

"Trauma?" Shane frowned. Try to remember anything related to the trauma.

"Then I'll give you medicine. You should also come here regularly once a week. I suggest you find out what your other personality's name is" Anika said.

"How is it?" ask Shane.

"You can communicate through writing. Make sure your other personality reads your message" Anika suggested.

"All right." Shane nodded. He immediately resigned after getting the medicine.

June has been with Shane. He heard all the talk of Shane and Anika.

"I knew you'd do this. But it's good that you check into a psychiatrist rather than a psychic. That way, you won't know that I've possessed you all this time" June said. Walk next to Shane casually.

Shane's gonna pick Julie up at the office. It just so happened that they were going to have dinner with the Davison family.

Despite being troubled by his condition, Shane is always happy to learn that he is going to marry Julie. The man endlessly smiled as he occasionally glanced at Julie.

Julie chuckles. "Thank you, Shane. You should have just said it from the beginning," he responded while glancing at June's face that looked sullen.

To keep June from getting angry, Julie took the time to say I love you without a sound. June looks just rolling a puffed-up eyeball.

Arriving at the restaurant, Julie and Shane immediately walk together. But when arriving at the entrance, Julie stops Shane's steps. June stopped too.

"What's wrong?" ask Shane.

"We're getting married. I want your parents to believe that we love each other." Slowly Julie clasped Shane's fingers. He succeeded in making the man gasp.

Shane's heart was racing. He looked at Julie.

"Yes, I'll let you look at my full Julie for now. Considering you're going to be a mash," June added.

Julie who heard, immediately glanced at June as a reprimand. The woman immediately went into the restaurant with Shane.

From a distance Paul and Hillary were waiting. The two divorced parents Shane, willing to come to meet their son's future wife.

"Dad, Mother. It's Julie. She's the girl I love" Shane told me shyly. He was constantly repairing his glasses.

Meanwhile, Julie, she and June focus on paying attention to the facial features that Paul and Hillary show.

"They seemed very surprised" June said.

Julie could only nod in response to June's words.

"Let's introduce yourself" said June.

Julie smiled immediately. "Meet me Julie Cameron" she said.

Paul and Hillary are confused. They're speechless.

Feeling the atmosphere too quiet, Shane immediately raised his voice. "They're my mom and dad, Julie. They're divorced and they have families" he said.

"Mane!" admonished Hillary who felt ashamed of her family situation. He looked at Julie and chose to throw away all the worries that had appeared.

"Hi, Julie. My name is Hillary and she's Paul. I hope our relationship goes well. Comeing! We'd better talk while we're sitting down" Hillary said. Julie, Shane, and Paul sat down.

"That's not gonna happen. Right, Julie?" June responded to Hillary.

The atmosphere is really awkward. Until the waiter came to bring food.

Hillary and Paul seemed to keep exchanging glances. Both of them talk through the eyes.

"Ekhem!" Paul, who had been silent since, cleared his throat. He looked at Julie and Shane in turn. "When have you known so much?" tanyakanya.

"Since High School. But it seems like God predestined us to be a match" Shane replied.

"Yes, we met again after a long time." Julie spoke up.

Paul smiled wryly. He drank champagne from the glass.

"Honestly, I'm glad Shane finally opened up. That's why I'm willing to have dinner today" Paul said.

"me too. No matter our relationship is over, Shane remains the main one" Hillary said. Looks like he and Paul had no choice but to accept Julie.

"thank you. Dad, Mom.." said Shane. "But actually Julie and I have other goals regarding this meeting" he added.

"What purpose?" ask Paul.

Shane took a deep breath. Then blow it through the mouth. Just as she was about to speak, Julie suddenly clasped her hand.

"Let me, please" said Julie. He looked at Hillary and Paul. Then he said, "Me and Shane want to ask for blessing. Because we decided we wanted to get married."

"What?!" Paul and Hillary were shocked at the same time. Maybe the two agree with Shane and Julie's relationship now. But they certainly did not expect Julie and Shane intend to get married.
