Ghost Dusk
Chapter 37 - The Initial Plan

...༻◈༺...

June held onto Julie's nape. Their kisses are getting intimate. But everything has to end when Julie's phone rings.

Julie checked her phone immediately. He watched Axton's name on the phone screen. Unbeknownst to him and June, Axton has since noticed from the front of the apartment building. He can recognize Julie because her sister was about to get out of the car.

Axton also successfully sees Julie and June kissing. Or you could say he watched Julie kiss with Shane. Considering June is taking over the geeky man's body.

Julie gets out of the car. June runs a car to bring Shane back home.

Julie's attention was immediately directed towards Axton. She bit her lower lip for fear the man caught her kissing.

"You seem to be close to Paul Davison's son. Or you're deliberately approaching him because..."

"No! I approached him because I liked him. It has nothing to do with the past" Julie argued. He just left Shane.

Axton Rounded his eyes. The word 'like' that Julie mentioned to Shane, caught her attention. He followed Julie to the apartment.

"Julie! I didn't hear wrong, did I? Did you say you liked Shane?" Axton demands answers. She and Julie just walked into the apartment.

"Yes, you didn't hear me wrong." Julie answered while taking off her bag and coat.

"So that's why you and Shane kissed?" ask Axton again.

Knowing Julie can be close to a man, of course, is happy news for him. Moreover, Julie just found out the facts about the past. Even so, Axton can not throw his magic from Julie. He was afraid that the girl was approaching Shane just because there was a certain purpose.

"Yes." Yeah." Julie answered briefly.

"You sure?" Axton is hard to believe.

Julie closed her eyes for a moment. If he wants to convince Shane, he must convince those closest to him first. Especially Axton.

"Shane can make me smile. I feel like the relationship between us makes me happy. I was trying to do the advice you gave me the other day" Julie said.

"You mean you're willing to let go of everything that's happened?" respond Axton.

Julie nodded. "I did it because I wanted to live a happy life" he said. Julie is obviously lying. What he's doing now may go into his plans and June's.

"Julie..." Axton hugged Julie. He loved his sister very much. Axton was relieved Julie said so.

"I told you he's a good guy. Much better than the man you introduced me to" Julie said. He remembers Axton's business partner who nearly raped him.

"Sorry, Julie. How many times do I have to apologize for that" Axton said, twisting a puff of his eyes.

Julie chuckles. He went into the room. Intended to clean up.

On the other hand, June has just arrived at Shane's apartment. He didn't forget to remove the trace of his call on Shane's phone. After removing what was necessary, June immediately threw herself into the bed. Then get out of Shane's body.

June, who was in the form of orange smoke, chose to remain around Shane. At least until the man wakes up. June was about to ascertain whether her cover was discovered or not.

...***...

The sun greeted. Shane woke up from sleep. He felt his body feel tired.

Shane stretched his body first. He put on his glasses and took his cell phone. Shane put down his phone when he didn't find any notifications. It was clear that he did not feel any strange. So for now June's work has not been discovered.

Shane was doing his usual activities. He went to work. On the way, Shane gets a call from Paul. He immediately raised the call.

"Shane, I'm sorry for what happened last night. I really don't want to talk about what you're talking about. I did it all for the good of our family. I hope you understand" Paul said across the phone.

Forehead Shane wrinkled. He was confused as to what to answer. Because the person who met Paul last night was June.

"What do you mean, Dad? Last night? What did you talk about? " Shanie demands an explanation. He didn't feel like he was seeing Paul last night.

Paul was silent in a split second. He then concluded, "It's good that you act like nothing happened. Just forget everything, okay?"

Shane was getting confused. Especially when Paul says goodbye and turns off the phone call.

"Last night? Did I meet with Dad last night?" Shane tries to find answers while driving the car. How hard he tried to remember, he certainly could not find an answer.

Shane chose to forget everything. Especially when Julie's message suddenly comes in.

Shane's previously sour face, instantly adorned by a bright smile. He pulls the car over just to read Julie's message with focus.

'Shane, you remember we're meeting later in the afternoon, right? Tomorrow is christmas. Would you like to take a walk to Nevada. I want you to tell me a lot about me back in our school.' That's Julie's message to Shane.

"Mane! What luck would it take for a girl as pretty as Julie to be attracted to you?" muttered Shane pleasure. He's monologuing to himself.
