My routine after performing the dawn prayer, by continuing the good habit done by the late Mas Fariz, namely almsgiving. By distributing food, money, groceries or clothing directly to people in need. As usual, Bik Inah and Pak Budi always faithfully accompanied me.By immediately me and Ummah helped Pak Budi and Bik Inah put food and groceries into the car.
Ummah pulled my hand slowly, "Darling, you be careful and take good care of yourself son."
I nodded slowly, responding to Ummah's words to me.
I, Mr. Budi and Bik Inah said goodbye to Ummah, then got into the car and passed from before him.
Pak Budi's car continues to go through the air after dawn which still feels cold and fresh. My eyes continued to look forward, with a much calmer feeling that I felt.
A while later, the speed of the car that Mr. Budi drove slowly began to slow down. Where the view is while looking out of the car, to see people who deserve help, which we will distribute.
"It looks like we stopped in front of Nak Rani, " said Mr. Budi.
"Yes sir, "my mouth.
Mr. Budi began to pull over the car he was driving, meanwhile Bik Inah and myself were getting ready to go down.
Not long after, I was accompanied by Mr. Budi and Bik Inah began to distribute the items we brought, he said, one by one to those who were staring frozen at the sky that would begin to blush in orange, while folding the boxes they made their bedding.Their shabby faces were glued with happy laughter in shock, then slowly with a slight nod, they thanked us and did'a accompaniment. Something that seems simple and very ordinary, but is very valuable to them. The sight that always makes my heart full and very touched, every time my fingers give directly the goods I carry and look into their eyes that look full of resignation as well as fragility. The amazing lesson that the late Mas Fariz always told me was,
"One of the manifestations of gratitude for the abundant gift given by Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala is to give alms. Through almsgiving, we can feel that helping others is such a noble thing. While when we know other people who we are helping to feel happy, aware or not, tips will also feel happier than him.
Because, almsgiving is a moment to increase gratitude in the chest. Not only that, through almsgiving, we can become a more patient person, more humble and more appreciative of every sustenance we get every day.Because with alms will also make the feeling more calm, comfortable and awake."
I was pensive in my mind that was still immersed in the words of Mas Fariz he had told me.
"Son Rani!, "call Bik Inah to gently wipe my shoulder.
"Yes Bik, "I said slowly that woke up from my daydream.
Bik Inah invites me back to walk to share the items we will share. However, my gaze stopped seeing a figure I knew was in front of me. He did not see me, and was doing the same thing as I was doing with Mr. Budi and Bik Inah.
My footsteps stopped seeing her in my shock, until Bik Inah's voice calling out her name was loud enough, making her realize that I was nearby.
Our gaze met for a moment, until quickly me and himself immediately subdued our gaze.
My legs wanted to step away from him, but my body felt heavy to move. Until Mr. Budi came to greet him.
I was still silent in the silence I created myself. Then, he approached me and Bik Inah, to help distribute the items we brought. So it was with pleasure Bik Inah responded, but I remained silent and did not look at her.
"Assalamu'alaikum Rani, how are you?, "ask slowly to me.
"Wa'alaikumussalam warahmatullahi. Thank God, "I replied slowly.
I glanced at him who was smiling hearing my answer.
"Alhamdulillah, it's good to see you're doing well. It is unexpected, we can meet again. And it is true that people say, if two people are destined to be together, then from any corner of the earth they come from and are, if two people are destined to be together, surely they will meet without ever being caught up with God's plan" he said.
Bik Inah and Pak Budi then smiled at his words.
I felt awkward and uncomfortable near him, something that made me feel a strange sensation in me, when he was near me.I also invited Bik Inah to share the things we brought, as well, to quickly finish.
Lucky Bik Inah understood and obeyed my will, and I passed from before him. After Bik Inah said excuse me.
Not long after that, he and Mr. Budi also finished distributing the items that will be given up.
Moments later, we were all done handing out all the things in the car.
I wanted to go home soon, but he asked Mr. Budi and Bik Inah including myself to come with him. Enjoy chicken for breakfast.
I tried to reject him, but Bik Inah and Pak Budi accepted his invitation. He also smiled and stepped in tandem with Mr. Budi, who looked close without feeling awkward and not distant. They both look getting along, and as if they have forgotten the previous events that once made a wound in the heart of Mr. Budi.
Pak Budi also seemed to have no grudge against him.
I was still silent and stood still looking at him and Mr. Budi who stepped a little away from me.
"Come on Rani!, "take Bik Inah.
I was still silent and reluctant.
For, when it is time for the two souls to meet, then nothing on this earth can prevent them from meeting, wherever each of them is, for God has arranged their meeting. "
I was silent looking at Bik Inah's face that nodded her head, while inviting me to immediately catch up with Mr. Budi who was getting away.
After hearing the words of Bik Inah, I refused no more and walked in her arms.
My eyes continue to look at him who walks next to Mr. Budi.
She looked so much different from her previous self, when I was with her, and the last time I saw her.
Full of simplicity in Islamic clothing, and the songkok he continues to wear.
For a long time I was immersed in observing him, without me realizing it as if he felt my gaze trying to spy on him. Until when he looked back..
DeG....
Our views met again, and it surprised me so much.
So I quickly lowered my gaze from her.
The sensation of a strange feeling re-spread in my heart and spread towards my heart that did not stop beating so fast and fast.
I kept on being serious and thinking slowly, to make a strange stir in me to be calm.
Before long, he and Pak Budi were right near the park and the chicken porridge seller who was usually my subscription with Mas Fariz. I was so surprised, so was the father of the chicken porridge seller who still remembered me.
"God, son of Rani, " said the father with a smile happy to see me.
I nodded my head and smiled at him.
"For a long time, Nak Rani did not come here after.., "said the father of the chicken porridge seller did not continue his words and looked at me.
I wanted to get away from this place, but Bik Inah was holding me back from it.
"Son Rani must be strong, although aunt knows in this place many memories stored Nak Rani with Nak Fariz, "he whispered to me.
My heart rumbled in the longing that came so quickly to ambush me.
Bik Inah then led me to sit down on the mat that had been provided, after previously Brother Reno ordered chicken porridge that I used to order with Fariz.
A little annoyed I heard the words of Brother Reno, who wanted chicken porridge with the exact same topping he asked for similar to what I used to eat with Mas Fariz. But he seemed to not care, and immediately invited Pak Budi to sit near him.
While waiting for the order to come, me and the others sat down. I still sat down with a downcast look, and did not dare to look around. I was afraid, and agitated if the memories of my memory with Mas Fariz would come back to the surface, to make myself more and more immersed in all my old memories.
"What are you thinking Rani?, "asked Brother Reno breaking my daydream as if he did not care about my mood.
I came back aghast from my daydream, and looked towards him. My frustration with her grew so much that my mouth suddenly said a sniffle to her.
"What was everything I thought, I should tell you. "
I thought that Brother Reno was silent at my words, but he looked happy and smiled. And his attitude further irritated me.
You freak, I murmured in my heart.
"Is there anything funny, until you smile like that?, "i asked.
Brother Reno smiled again looking at me and shook his head slowly.
"Nothing funny Rani. But I am happy and happy, because I can hear your voice after all this time, "he replied.
I could only sigh, after listening to her answer.
He looked so very different, not only his appearance but also his attitude that was much calmer and relaxed.
There was no anger in his face that once seemed tempramental attached to him.
He was so different, so much different, that I couldn't believe seeing his change like the late Fariz.
