IW 3 - Ling Zhen's Choice

Twelve years have passed since the incident in Shenling City, in the Valley of the Gods, a young man and a White Fox were sitting on the river bank.

‘Human boy, now you are seventeen years old. Isn't it time for you to explore the outside world?’ The White Fox asked because Ling Zhen had once said he would go on a journey and look for the Night Goddess Potion after he was seventeen.

“Yes, but with my current abilities. I don't think I've been able to avenge the deaths of my family and my brothers.” Ling Zhen replied as he stared at the flowing stream calmly.

‘You're still thinking about that. I'm not banning you, but if that's what you want, I just hope you don't regret it. Whether to take revenge or not. You have the right to decide and make a choice. So choose, a choice you won't regret.’ The White Fox explained before jumping over Ling Zhen's shoulder.

“It seems like it's time for me to travel. I don't want to regret this decision. For a while, I'll leave him alone here.” Ling Zhen closed his eyes and recalled the last time his mother smiled, “By seeing that smile, I will do anything!”

Eternal sleep is not an ordinary disease, but a kind of curse that makes humans sleep forever. It's no different than dying, falling asleep forever.

‘Dan, the person who has made your Mother experience Eternal Sleep, I think she has a God's Heirloom belonging to the Night God.’ The White Fox guessed.

“The person has beyond reason capabilities. I don't understand why he didn't kill me with my mother, instead sending two warriors to kill us both. And, I don't want to understand the way of mind of people like them.” Ling Zhen still clearly remembered the figure of the higher-ups of the Demon Worshiping Sect who killed his entire family and brother indiscriminately.

After conversing for quite a long time with the White Fox, Ling Zhen prepared some heirlooms that he would carry on his journey.

In the past twelve years, Ling Zhen had continued to forge abilities both physically and mentally. The muscles and bones in his body had also rapidly increased to become stronger.

To train his abilities, Ling Zhen also often hunted the Demon Beast that inhabited the Valley of Gods.

According to the White Fox, the Demon Beast that inhabited the Valley of Gods was stronger than the Demon Beast that was out there.

Fighting against the Demon Beast made Ling Zhen gain his own experience. However, this young man had not killed any humans at all. His obsession would be vengeful, making the White Fox worry if Ling Zhen's mentality would one day falter.

But after seeing his determination, finally the White Fox was convinced that Ling Zhen was the person he had long been waiting for.

‘Human boy, did you not take water from the Lake of Medicine, the Five Color Pool and the Phoenix Springs? I think you'll need all three during the journey?’ The White Fox asked because he had seen Ling Zhen only collecting heirlooms, Spirit Gems and treasures piling up in the Valley of Gods.

Ling Zhen thought for a moment while inserting a pile of gold into the God Space. Then he followed the direction of the White Fox to take the water source from the Treatment Lake, the Five Color Pool and the Phoenix Springs.

“I think this is enough. In the end, all I need is wealth. You know, the White Fox. The human brain works only because of treasures, to get information I need wealth in this valley.” Ling Zhen felt enough with what he took. Afterwards he said goodbye to his mother who was lying on the ice chest.

“Please wait for me, Mom. I promise to return to the Valley of Gods by bringing the Night Goddess Potion.” Ling Zhen hugged his mother's body tightly.

Of course after preparing everything, Ling Zhen did not immediately leave the Valley of Gods. Now he was soaking in the Treatment Lake, the Five Color Pool and the Phoenix Springs alternately.

After soaking in the Five Color Medicine Lake and Pool, Ling Zhen meditated in the waterfall that was the source of the Phoenix Springs.

Ling Zhen's physical abilities were stronger than those of his age even the warriors out there, as the abundant resources in the Valley of Gods had always been his food.

In these two days, Ling Zhen focused himself on breaking through the Bronze Dragon Bone.

The bone formation stage or bone quality is divided into several parts, namely Wolf Bone, Tiger Bone and Dragon Bone.

Wolf Bone has three parts that are the difference in bone quality, including Bronze Wolf Bone, Silver Wolf Bone and Golden Wolf Bone.

Tiger Bone also has the same parts including Bronze Tiger Bone, Silver Tiger Bone and Golden Tiger Bone.

Meanwhile the Dragon Bone was the strongest form of bone. In the world only a few people have the strongest bone quality.

The Dragon Bone itself was divided into six sections among others, Bronze Dragon Bone, Silver Dragon Bone, Golden Dragon Bone, Crystal Dragon Bone, Earth Dragon Bone and Sky Dragon Bone.

Ling Zhen was satisfied after the bones in his body pierced through the Bronze Dragon Bone. Especially with his ability now which was a Peak Stage Earth Swordsman made Ling Zhen more and more active in training for breaking through the Early Stage Sky Swordsman.

In this world the levels and stages of a warrior are divided into several parts.

the Silver Swordsman

the King Swordsman

the Emperor Swordsman

the Sacred Swordsman

the Great Swordsman

the Earth Warrior

the Sky Swordsman

the Swordsman of the Gods

Each level has three stages to break through to the next realm. Early, Intermediate and Peak. Those were the three stages needed to break through to the next realm.

To improve abilities, not infrequently a swordsman consumes resources. Luckily in the Valley of Gods there were a lot of resources that helped Ling Zhen develop.

Ling Zhen took the resources he needed and stored them into the God Space, along with some heirlooms as well as Spirit Gems.

Most of the heirlooms that Ling Zhen brought were Earth and Sky Treasures. Although there are several Gods Heirlooms, but the number is less than other heirlooms.

Keep in mind, in this world there are three types of heirlooms.

- Earth Heritage

- Sky Heritage

- Gods Heirloom

These three types of heirloom weapons possessed powerful abilities and were even all equal. It all depends on the heirloom user in awakening the entire potential of the heirloom itself.

For the Spirit Gems themselves, Ling Zhen took the Spirit Gems from the Beast Demon King, the Beast Demon Emperor, the Demon Beast War and a few others he took from the Earth Demon Beast.

The Demon Beast itself had a level that signified how strong they were.

There are six levels of Demon Beast. Ling Zhen knew from the memories of the Gods that the Sky Demon Beast and Heavenly Demon Beast possessed human-like intelligence and could speak.

It was not easy for Ling Zhen to leave the Valley of Gods to search for the Night Goddess Potion and seek the experience of becoming a swordsman as well as avenging the death of his family.

“I'll miss this place..” Ling Zhen stared fixedly at the natural scenery presented in the Valley of Gods, before his two eyes were fixed on the body of the middle-aged woman who was lying weakly on top of the ice chest.

“I have to make up my mind. There is no time to think of my actions as right or wrong.” Ling Zhen muttered softly, then walked with the White Fox towards the barrier wall that was in the Valley of Gods.
