IW 30 - Mysterious Red-Eyed Swordsman

Actually Ling Zhen wanted to rest in Qifei City, but he hated the crowd. So he chose to continue his journey.

“This map shows a meadow that runs along the border of the Qing Empire and the Jia Empire.” Ling Zhen looked at the map while watching it closely.

After leaving Qifei City, Ling Zhen flew for seven days before arriving at the border, where there was only a dense forest with tall trees.

After crossing the border, Ling Zhen made a long journey through the meadow. The atmosphere in the quiet meadow made Ling Zhen enjoy every step of his foot on the way.

‘After leaving the Longxue Mountains, do you remember the way back?’ The White Fox asked as she spread her body between Ling Zhen's meditating thighs.

Ling Zhen opened his eyes and ended the meditation, “I still remember him. Rather than thinking that, I was curious about Grandpa Kong's explanation of the movements of the Demon Worshiping Sect that destroyed many white and neutral flow sects in the Qing Empire.”

‘From that? You're always involved with something troublesome. Did you forget that there are two women waiting for you in the Valley of the Gods?’ The White Fox did not actually want to argue, but seeing Ling Zhen who seemed to have forgotten his promise to Xue Lianhua and Que Mi was certainly a pique to the White Fox.

Ling Zhen stared at the grass swaying from the night wind, “I will not forget my promise to the two of them, but for now I want to meet Miss Ji whom Grandpa Kong meant.”.

The White Fox looked at Ling Zhen, ‘Hey, you always deal with women. What's your goal in meeting the woman you called just now?’

Ling Zhen still remembered that the owner of the Blue Moon Pavilion knew information faster than even a swordsman. According to him the owner of the Blue Moon Pavilion knew the antidote of the Profound Blood Poison and Eternal Sleep.

‘So that's your excuse, but don't underestimate me. You still have another reason, don't you?’ The White Fox yawned after shouting to Ling Zhen.

Ling Zhen held his ear, though the White Fox said through telepathy but the effect was very pronounced in the ear.

“I just hope that the person Grandpa Kong is referring to is Big Brother Ji..” Ling Zhen muttered softly.

‘Hah? Brother Ji?’ The White Fox yawned before falling asleep in Ling Zhen's lap.

Ling Zhen smiled faintly stroking the head of the White Fox and closed his eyes to rest his body and mind.

When morning arrived, Ling Zhen again continued his journey through the vast expanse of grassland that stretched beautifully.

The White Fox remained asleep and was in Ling Zhen's head. On the way Ling Zhen did not meet anyone, considering the news of the Qing Empire's merchants being held hostage in Qifei City were of course many merchants who were more careful to come to the Jia Empire.

Ling Zhen continued to fly for days, when night fell he rested and when morning came he resumed the journey.

Until finally Ling Zhen again saw the map of the Five Colors Continent, and at the end of the Grassland there was a large road to the border city although it was actually far away but this city was the closest to the Jia Empire.

Wuzhen City was the name of the border town in the Qing Empire. A city that was on the edge of the empire and had a prosperous population.

Given that the agriculture in Wuzhen City is very large, the population there are mostly farmers, while immigrants who settled in Wuzhen City sell and open businesses there.

Ling Zhen closed his eyes and felt a gust of wind pounding his body. He stepped back and rushed towards Wuzhen City.

Ling Zhen narrowed his eyes and saw a human silhouette lying on the ground from a distance.

‘Human boy, I can maintain this form of me by sleeping. Someday, there will come a time when you will travel without me..’ The White Fox yawned and stomped its feet slowly towards Ling Zhen's head.

“Aren't you going to guide me? Stop saying silly things, even if you are a fox but you are still a god.” Ling Zhen laughed softly before speeding up his steps to take a clearer look at the human silhouette he saw.

Ling Zhen found a woman wearing a red dress with two neatly sheathed swords. He watched the woman's face closely, and his eyebrows slowly wrinkled.

“Dia..” Ling Zhen held his chin and tried to remember, “When did he sleep here? Wasn't this the woman in Jiayang Capital!”

‘His ability is way above yours, but why did he pass out?’ The White Fox leaped from the head and stepped on the woman's face.

“White Fox, don't step on a woman's face!” Ling Zhen pulled the tail of the White Fox and threw it slowly.

‘You! How dare you treat me like that!’ The White Fox was infuriated by Ling Zhen's actions.

“I'm sorry, but it's your fault that stepped on his face.” Ling Zhen said as he examined the female's pulse.

“Air..” The woman's mouth murmured softly, “Daging..”.

After muttering so, a rumbling stomach voice sounded. Ling Zhen shook his head and looked at the red eyes that opened slowly.

“Minum-” Not yet had Ling Zhen finished his words, the woman immediately took the drinking water that Ling Zhen gave her.

The woman finished the drinking water that Ling Zhen had given her, then rubbed her eyes and looked at Ling Zhen's face.

“You..” The woman narrowed her eyes looking at Ling Zhen carefully, “I think we've met before?”

“You are the red-eyed mysterious swordsman isn't it?” Ling Zhen precisely stared intently at the two red-colored eyeballs belonging to the woman.

“Red-eyed mysterious driver? Who's that?” The woman stood up and stretched her body, “I remember, you are that young man in Jiayang Capital. Are you heading towards the Chu Empire like I suggested?”

“I'm heading to the Jia Empire.” Ling Zhen intended to continue his journey after giving the woman a drink.

“I go-”

“Wait, do you have any food? Give me a little.” The woman stretched out her hand and made Ling Zhen shake his head slowly.

“Day is also getting dark, I should spend the night here..” Ling Zhen muttered softly staring at the slowly setting sun, “Follow me.”

Ling Zhen walked towards a grass-mounted hill, while the red-eyed woman followed him from behind.
