IW 5 - Longxue Mountains

Ling Zhen found himself not in the abyss where he had fallen, but rather an expanse of ice mountains filled with a thick mystical aura.

Moreover, the Demon Beast that inhabited the ice mountains was filled with powerful killing intent. Ling Zhen clicked his tongue as it found himself stranded in the icy mountains and it bothered him a lot.

“Shouldn't the memory of the Gods know this place? Then why can't I find out? Are you just bragging, White Fox?” Ling Zhen asked as he released his bodily aura to wrap around his body in order to reduce the coldness that hit his body.

‘You think a God should know everything? After all, the world has changed drastically, as resources dwindle, wars will occur everywhere. It's ironic to see this scene.’ The White Fox replied as she looked at the ice grains that hit her body.

“Then you appoint someone to solve the problem? It just so happens that that person is me. I suggest that you do not put too much hope on me, White Fox!” Ling Zhen smiled faintly and shook his head slowly.

‘I won't regret my decision to choose you. Now is the time for you to travel, so which way are we going?’ The White Fox jumped onto Ling Zhen's shoulder and yawned.

“First of all-” Ling Zhen sharpened his eyes staring at the blizzard visible from his vision, “This is not true, shouldn't you lead me?!”

‘Still discussing that, we better go down this mountain slope. I'll borrow your shoulder for a minute.’ The White Fox looked unconcerned about what Ling Zhen was going through and chose to close his eyes.

“With my current ability, I was able to get through that blizzard Ling Zhen released a red-colored aura before his body was filled with fiery red-colored flames and a pair of wings formed from flames appeared on his back.

‘Phoenix Breath Art..’ Ling Zhen processed the Phoenix God's breathing well, ‘Fire Wing Phoenix!’

Ling Zhen flew up and moved at high speed down the mountain range. The extreme and cold weather that struck the mountains he could overcome thanks to the body abilities of the Phoenix God Body.

‘I didn't expect you to fly using the Phoenix Fire Wing.’ The White Fox muttered softly and continued her sleep.

Ling Zhen watched the mountain range he had crossed. Along the way he encountered large birds with elemental abilities such as fire and lightning that blocked his journey.

“Sufficient heating, but these mountains seem to be strategic hiding places.” Ling Zhen realized there were some defensive formation seals in this ice mountain range that he was passing through.

‘Seals defense formations? Why does the seal feel weaker?’ Ling Zhen sensed that there was an oddity of the defensive formation seal that he felt.

As Ling Zhen tried to touch the defensive formation seal closest to him, a sword-shaped snowflake flew towards him.

Ling Zhen dodged quickly while searching for the whereabouts of the person who attacked him.

Ling Zhen faintly sensed the human aura, although only one but Ling Zhen sensed that there was an abnormal condition of the person attacking him.

‘Is he in a fight? No, I feel the fishy smell of blood due to this gust of wind!’ Ling Zhen expanded the Phoenix's fire ability and flew downwards at high speed.

The silhouette of a girl appearing in a blizzard, Ling Zhen unleashed the Phoenix's abilities by launching dozens of fireballs from the flapping of his two wings.

“After infiltrating the Longxue Mountains and trying to break into the Virgin Valley Sect, I will not let you live!” A loud voice rang out clearly and echoed in Ling Zhen's ear.

“Top of Longxue Mountains, you say? No way, no one has ever found the peak of this mountain range!” The girl's voice sounded incredulous.

“Bothering, arguing with a fellow human being turned out to be quite exhausting. What can I do, don't blame me for playing rough.” Ling Zhen sighed softly and approached the silhouette of the girl.

As the distance between the two grew closer, Ling Zhen was amazed at the beauty he had seen for the first time in twelve years.

The girl with a graceful appearance with the body shape that every woman craved, as well as the smooth white skin like untainted snow and the long silvery black hair that was waist-length drugged Ling Zhen's mind.

“Finally you showed yourself, asshole!” The girl released a tread that landed right on Ling Zhen's chest.

“Argh!” Fresh blood shot out from Ling Zhen's mouth as he did not dodge the tread attack that the girl had released. His eyes were now staring at the two beautiful eyeballs but looking at him hatefully.

“Darkly, I did not expect to experience an event like this..” Ling Zhen laughed amusedly and greeted the site after site the girl had glued to.

“Nona, relax! Watch this face of mine, do I look like an intruder?!” Ling Zhen hoped that the girl would listen to his words.

The girl stopped attacking Ling Zhen and narrowed her eyes, “I have never seen you before, and your abilities are different from those intruders.”.

“Thankful..” Ling Zhen breathed a sigh of relief. Suddenly, a sword from the snow stuck to his neck.

“But you look suspicious!” The girl still couldn't believe it.

Ling Zhen gulped, ‘After all the things I've been through, I will end up like this? No kidding! I can't be weak just because she's a woman!’

Ling Zhen closed his eyes and found out that the girl before him was an Early Earth Swordsman.

By magnifying the Phoenix's fire ability, the snow sword attached to its neck melted away. Ling Zhen quickly moved and locked onto the girl's body.

“Let me go! I would rather die than come into contact with men!” The girl thrashed. Ling Zhen was shocked to hear his words.

“Quiet, Miss. Right now I don't want to argue with you, you better not be suspicious of me. After all I was just a lost person while searching for the Night Goddess Potion.” With a cold voice, Ling Zhen reasoned but this was accepted by the girl.

Seen now if the girl no longer thrashed or tried to break away. A while later, Ling Zhen released a lock of his hand, and let out a long sigh.

“Tell me, what really happened in these mountains?” After all, this ice mountain range was the entrance and exit of the Valley of Gods. Subconsciously, Ling Zhen had to know about it and get involved in it.

The girl turned her face and stared at the silhouette of the mountain peak that she could not see clearly, “This ice mountain is named Longxue Mountains.”.
