It was not felt that the incident in Heidong City had passed a week ago. The martial world of the Qing Empire suddenly broke out because of the figure of Ling Zhen who ended the Hei family and the higher-ups of the Gluttonous Lantern as well as the two leaders who were in Heidong City.

This incident attracted many parties, especially Emperor Qing. Of course after knowing Ling Zhen's identity as the Ling family's rightful heir made Emperor Qing want to have a closer chat with the young man, but it was a pity that Emperor Qing was unaware of Ling Zhen's whereabouts.

Hoping to meet Ling Zhen in person, the Qing Emperor visited Jihao City with his wife and son escorted by hundreds of imperial soldiers.

Not only was the Qing Emperor interested in Ling Zhen, but the news of the Hei family massacre made the Wang family wary after learning that Wang Tao was killed and that the Hei family had now perished.

The Gluttony Lantern based in Wangdian City received a crushing blow after learning that Feng Lintian and Huo Weng had died in Ling Zhen's hands.

Ling Zhen's identity made the Gluttonous Lantern feel the terror of revenge. The group awaits the new representatives of the Devils of Rakus and is rumored to be visiting Wangdian City, but the Devils of Perak they will never come.

The news of Ling Zhen having slaughtered the Hei family also reached Ji Yanran's ear. The twenty-nine-year-old woman wore a happy expression.

After leaving Heidong City, Ling Zhen and Hei Long did not head straight for Wangdian City, but instead both headed for a hideout that the representatives of the Demon Worshiping Sect referred to as the Voracious Demons used.

“White Fox, are you sure the Greedy Devil is here? As I recall, the Greedy Devil is a ruthless man who can make one's memories disappear.” Ling Zhen said to the White Fox who walked leading the way in front of him.

Seeing Ling Zhen being seen talking to the White Fox made Hei Long repeatedly raise his eyebrows in confusion.

‘Why is Ling Zhen talking to himself? Did his head hit something?’ Hei Long nodded and let out a long sigh.

The White Fox explained to Ling Zhen not to underestimate the man from the Ezzo Country, as the man was able to keep up with Yue Rou.

“I will not underestimate it. Now I have started to be able to control the God's Eye Mark. I'm sure I can fight balanced against Senior Yue.” Ling Zhen said confidently making the White Fox shake his head as well as his tail.

Upon seeing a hut in the forest filled with Demon Beast, the White Fox leaped onto Ling Zhen's head and began to position itself for sleep.

‘There are men and women who are brothers. Be careful, overconfidence is the thing that pisses me off, and it's on you human boy.’ The White Fox immediately went to sleep after saying so.

Ling Zhen sighed seeing that the White Fox had fallen asleep, “Hei Long, wait out here.” Ling Zhen stepped into the area of the Demon Beast while releasing a large amount of murderous aura.

Hei Long scratched his non-itchy head, “You only want to fight with strong people right?”

Ling Zhen smiled, “No, I just want this first friend of mine to be unharmed.”

Hearing Ling Zhen's words upset Hei Long, “Don't fool me, Ling Zhen!”

Ling Zhen simply laughed and walked leisurely without worrying about the horde of Demon Beast that was unable to move due to feeling the intimidation pressure from Ling Zhen's murderous aura.

As the distance between the hut and Ling Zhen drew closer, a sharp samurai emitting a pitch-black aura shot towards Ling Zhen along with the man with the injured left eye.

“Keparat, who ordered you to come here?!” The man holding this samurai was the person the White Fox meant.

Ling Zhen fended off the samurai using the Nine Dragons Sword, then he used the God Eye Mark because the figure of the man before him was almost on par with Yue Rou.

The man with the injured left eye gnashed his teeth, “If I were from Ezzo Country, would you kill me huh?! I have no right to tell you about the reason I joined the Demon Worship Sect!”

Ling Zhen smiled faintly and swung his sword sharply making the man who was his opponent shocked.

After that Ling Zhen kicked the man's heart full of energy inside before ending it with a punch right hitting the man's stomach.

“What's your name?” Ling Zhen asked.

The man looked at Ling Zhen hatefully, yet he realized Ling Zhen had no intention of fighting fervently against him, instead, moreover, there was not the slightest murderous appetite that the man felt even though Ling Zhen released a murderous aura though.

“Namaki Hayabusa.” Unknowingly the man told Ling Zhen his name.

“Hayabusa?” Ling Zhen sheathed the Nine Dragons Sword and stared intently at Hayabusa, “Hayabusa will you join me?”

“Hah?!” Hayabusa frowned and approached Ling Zhen, “What are you saying?!”

“Hayabusa, will you join me? I'll form a proper group for people like us and you're a suitable person to be my friend.” Ling Zhen stared straight at his interlocutor making Hayabusa confused to answer what.

“Listen, I hate people like you so much. I'm the Greedy Devil, Hayabusa. Don't take me, damn boy!” Hayabusa sheathed her beloved samurai.

“I don't need your answer. When I decided you were my friend, then you were my friend, Hayabusa.” Ling Zhen smiled and intended to return.

‘Friends?’ Hayabusa was completely inexhaustible as her heart felt touched upon hearing Ling Zhen's words.

“So you said your name was Ling Zhen right?” Hayabusa stopped Ling Zhen from heading towards Hei Long's place.

“I will join you if you can stop slavery in Heidong City.” Actually the purpose of Hayabusa was to join the Demon Worship Sect because it wanted to stop the sale of slaves to the Land of Ezzo and the Land of Jisa.

Moreover Hayabusa had the intention to destroy the Demon Worshiping Sect from within, because after all this group was a supplier of monstrous pills and slaves to Ezzo Country and Jisa Country.

Hearing Hayabusa's request made Ling Zhen laugh softly.

“What are you laughing at? Do you think this is all funny?!” Hayabusa shouted and Ling Zhen stopped laughing while shaking his head.

“Hayabusa, have you not heard from me who slaughtered those bastards?” Ling Zhen patted Hayabusa's shoulder making the man flustered.

“What do you mean?” Hayabusa frowned.

“So you don't know? How else, I'll explain it to you..” Ling Zhen told him about his purpose in joining the group he was going to create and about him killing all members of the Hei family.

Hearing that Hayabusa looked at Ling Zhen elaborately. For the first time he remembered the figure of Shogun Ezzo in Ling Zhen.

Hayabusa smiled and took a deep breath, “Alright, Ling Zhen. As a samurai, I will follow you.”

“You don't have to follow me, just walk beside me. Because we are friends, Hayabusa.” Ling Zhen looked at the sky and smiled.

“You don't need to protest because I'll follow you! If you refuse, I'll split your body!” Hayabusa said in a threatening tone as if she could kill Ling Zhen.

“Sucks..” Ling Zhen scratched his head and walked towards the waiting Hei Long, “Do as you please, Hayabusa.”
