IW 67 - Luohan City Arc 2 - Chu Empire's Turmoil

The rain and the sound of thunder that were mutually unpretentious filled the green land of the meadow.

While not far from a young man who was laying his body under the rain with the White Fox, a group of people were heading towards the border city of the Chu Empire and Qing Empire.

“Look, isn't that human?” One of the people in the group pointed to the silhouette of the young man who was asleep under the rain.

“What do fools do when it rains like this? Sleep on? I've never seen a man this stupid.” The burly man who had some authority shook his head. Seen from his stature, this man was the leader of the group.

“Eld She, we are also raining, are we not also arguably stupid?” One who had just joined the group said.

Elder She pulled out her sword and cut off the head of the person, “Who do you call stupid?! Right now we are going to Luohan City to discuss the plans of conquest of Chu Palace! Do you not know the figure of Queen Chu whose beauty is number one in the Five Colors Continent?!”

Hearing the commotion around him made the young man who was sleeping under the rain wake up.

“White Fox, I was not aware of the rain after doing meditation and memorizing some techniques from the King of Hell.” Ling Zhen stared at the dark sky accompanied by the thunderous sound of lightning and rain.

White Fox yawns and looks so lazy, ‘Human boy, study it all, so that I can leave quietly if you have been able to let go unsupervised.’

Hearing the White Fox's words, Ling Zhen frowned, “Don't say anything sad. Aren't you just sleeping your job.”

As Ling Zhen and the White Fox conversed, Elder She stepped on Ling Zhen's stomach and looked at him ferociously.

“Are you crazy huh?! Sleep in this rain of lightning! Where is your brain?!” Elder She unsheathed her sword neck Ling Zhen, but Ling Zhen nimbly dodged.

“Keparat! You just stepped on my stomach and tried to kill me! It is precisely in my eyes that you look like a madman!” Ling Zhen stood up quickly then took the White Fox and put it on his head.

“Enyah from before me before I change my mind!” Ling Zhen stared intently at Elder She along with the entire swordsman from the Street Skull Clan.

Ling Zhen's movements were so quick as he kicked Elder She's head and stepped on her, “Oi! Get out of front of me before I change my mind!”

All the subordinates of the man called Elder She were surprised to see Ling Zhen easily knocking down their leader.

Elder She quickly stood up despite staggering. He looked at Ling Zhen carefully before running towards his subordinates.

“Oi!” Ling Zhen called out to Elder She who shuddered in fear.

“Ya!” Elder She replied in a surprised voice.

“Is there a village or a town nearby? If there's any you better show me the way to get there!” Ling Zhen walked up to the silent Elder She's entourage peeking at his words.

Elder She quickly took out a paper showing the location of Luohan City, a border city that existed in the Chu Empire and was the closest city to the Qing Empire.

Ling Zhen picked up the paper then jumped up and flew at high speed towards Luohan City, ignoring the thunderstorms that blocked his journey.

Elder She gulped at the figure of Ling Zhen. Only this time he could be defeated with just one kick.

“His ability is on par with the leader. I have to report it. Moreover, he headed for Luohan City, I don't know what a goddamn thought like him!” Elder She looked at the sky and saw the shadow of Ling Zhen who had disappeared.

Elder She stared at all of her visible members still staring at the sky, as if looking at Ling Zhen's shadow.

“Everything! We should hurry towards Luohan City and meet the leader!” Out loud Elder She shouted.

“Good!” Simultaneously Elder She's subordinate replied. Then they continued on their way to Luohan City.

The distance between the prairie and Luohan City took one day. Ling Zhen and the White Fox chatted long on the way.

The White Fox explained to Ling Zhen that the figure of Queen Chu was a special human, as well as Yue Rou. The two women according to the White Fox are the Goddess's Incarnation.

“Jelmaan Goddess? So is it true that the upper world has been wiped out, the White Fox?” Ling Zhen was curious about the White Fox's intent.

“Yes, that's just my assum.
