Chapter 30's


On a sunny spring day in Japan, Annisa with her husband, Reynold, and their eight-month-old son, Arnold, decide to visit Japan for a family vacation. They are excited to experience Japan's rich and beautiful culture.


They arrive at Narita International Airport in the morning and head straight to their hotel in Shibuya, Tokyo. After checking in, they decided to explore Tokyo. At the Shibuya station, they see bustling people, with many people busy working and shopping.


“This is amazing! It's like New York City is neater!" Annisa said happily.


“Yes, I also love the hospitality and neatness of this city." Reynold.


“Papa.papa,” Reynold who swerved too smoothly talking pointed a park in front of them.


“Let's go to Yoyogi Park. I hear the garden is very beautiful in spring." Reynold.


They continue their journey to Yoyogi Park, known for its enchanting cherry blossom beauty in spring. They take a walk around the park, enjoy the view and take lots of photos.


“This is a beautiful place! I also can't wait to enjoy some delicious Japanese food." Annisa.


“Of course, darling. Let's go find a nice sushi restaurant for lunch." Reynold said and clasped Annisa's hand.


They found a good sushi restaurant and ordered many different types of sushi. They enjoy their food while praising the delicious taste of sushi.


“Sushi is so delicious! I'm so glad we could try it in Japan." Annisa devours sushi in her chopsticks.


“Yes, Japanese food is second to none. After this we try to explore other places.” Reynolds


The next day, they decide to visit Meiji Shrine, a famous Shinto shrine in Tokyo. They arrived there in the morning and saw many local visitors who were worshipping at the temple. They also saw many tourists who came to enjoy the beauty of the temple and take pictures.


“It's so beautiful! I feel like I'm in the Edo period!" Annisa.


“Ya, Meiji Shrine is a symbol of Japanese beliefs and traditions. I'm so glad to be able to visit her." Reynold.


“Mama, fish!” Reynold tugged at Annisa's clothes, pointing to a fish pond in the temple.


“Yes, Son. Later we will feed them yes.” Gentle Annisa.


Afterwards, they went to the Tsukiji fish market, which is famous for its variety of fish and fresh seafood. They bought some fresh fish and cooked it in their hotel at night.


“This is so delicious! I'm so happy to be able to cook this fresh fish the traditional Japanese way." Annisa.


“This is so delicious! I really enjoy Japanese food." Said Reynold rubbing his stomach.


They continued their journey to Kyoto the next day. In Kyoto, they visit the Fushimi Inari Temple, which is famous for its series of beautiful red torii gates. They walk between the torii gates and enjoy the beautiful view from the top of the hill.


“I feel like I'm in a different world." Annisa said taking some pictures of the temple.


“Yes, this is really amazing. Nothing can beat the natural beauty and culture of Japan." Reynold.


“Darling, do you want to buy some traditional Japanese knick-knacks for your office friends? like a fan or miniature torii gate. If you want it looks like the suvernir shop looks complete.” Reynolds said pointing to the side of a souvenir shop near them.


Annisa nods and they visit the souvenir shop, choosing some traditional Japanese fans and miniature torii gates. Afterwards, they go to the famous soba restaurant in Kyoto and enjoy a delicious soba meal.


“I've never tried buckwheat before, it turns out it's so delicious! I like the texture which is very crispy.” Annisa.


They visit Kiyomizu Temple, which is famous for its stunning views of Kyoto city. They climb up the hill and see the beautiful view of Kyoto city from above.


“Darling, thank you for taking me on vacation here, I'm so happy. Hopefully we can come back here again.” Annisa kisses her husband's cheek.


Reynold nodded and said. “I also really enjoyed our time in Japan.“


They continued their trip to Osaka on their last day in Japan. In Osaka, they visited Osaka Castle, which is famous for its architectural beauty and rich history.


“Historical buildings in Japan are indeed very beautiful, even each building has its own history!” Annisa said excitedly.


“Yes, the history of Japan is very interesting. We can get a more understanding of the culture and history in Japan.” Reynold.


“Papa, hungry.” Arnold said in Reynold's arms.


“Okay, we try to eat okonomiyaki yes.” Reynold said and encouraged by Arnold.


They look for the famous okonomiyaki restaurant in Osaka and enjoy the delicious okonomiyaki dishes. Afterwards, they shopped for souvenirs at the Dotonbori night market famous for Japanese food and goods.


“I want to buy some traditional Japanese clothes for Arnold.” Annisa asked her husband for permission.


“Good idea, let's go now.” Reynold.


They took a walk in the night market and found a store selling children's kimonos. Annisa chose some beautiful kimonos and decided to buy them.


Annisa is still busy looking for some kimonos that she might give to her close friends at the office, while Teynold is also picking out some toys that she will buy to Arnold.


“Arnold, you like this?” Reynold asked Arnold who wanted to show Arnold the toy in his hand, but it turned out that Arnold was not next to him.


“Arnold! Arnold!” Reynold kept shouting among the crowd hoping to find his son.


“Honey, what's up?” Annisa asked who looked anxious when she saw Reynold's worried face.


“Ar..Arnold, gone,” said Reynold stammered with anxiety. Annisa was shocked and cried.


“I'm sorry, baby. I'm sorry I didn't take good care of him. Now we find him first, you go there and I'll search the area around here.” Reynold said in a panic.


Annisa could only nod her head and immediately went in the direction ordered by Reynold.


“Arnold! Arnold!” Annisa screams anxiously calling out her son's name hoping Arnold will yell at him.


But his efforts still did not bear fruit, he staggered to think about the fate of his son who might be crying out of fear.


Until he saw his son in front of him and was talking to a woman.


As Annisa approaches them, Annisa's steps stop to see the face of the woman who is talking to her child.


“Ivy.”
