It’S Me Again
Chapter 35's

Ivy had been waiting on the plane for more than six hours and he felt very tired when the plane finally landed at New York airport.

After Ivy picked up her bag, she saw Annisa waiting for her at the arrival area with a warm smile on her face. Annisa immediately approached Ivy and hugged her tightly.

"Ivy! I'm glad you've arrived. Howwasyourjourney?" ask Annisa.

"Yes, it's a bit tiring but I'm fine," Ivy replied with a tired smile.

Annisa offers to take Ivy to her apartment in downtown New York and Ivy happily accepts. They rush out of the airport and take a taxi to Annisa's apartment.

When they reached the apartment, Ivy was impressed by the modern and comfortable interior. Annisa offers Ivy to sit down and have a cup of coffee, and they start talking.

"It's been a long time since we met. How are you, Ivy?" asked Annisa while sipping her coffee.

"Yes, it's been a long time. I'm fine, Annisa. Thank you for accompanying me today" Ivy replied.

Annisa looked at Ivy with attention. "Did anything worry you? You seem a little uneasy," asked Annisa.

Ivy breathed. "Yes, I'm actually worried about meeting Michael tomorrow at the hospital. I'm afraid it's going to shake me up and get me involved in an unhealthy relationship again" she explained.

Annisa nodded and touched Ivy's hand gently. "I understand how difficult the situation is, but you can get through it. You're strong, Ivy," Annisa said.

Ivy felt a little relieved hearing Annisa's words. They continued to talk for some time, then Annisa showed Ivy the room where she would stay during her stay in New York.

After finishing all the preparations, Ivy feels calmer and ready to face tomorrow's meeting with Michael. She decides to go to bed earlier tonight, and Annisa takes Ivy to her room hoping that Ivy can sleep well.

Ivy wakes up feeling anxious on her long-awaited day, the day she has to face her ex-boyfriend Michael in a psychiatric hospital. He felt uncomfortable and could not sleep all night because he kept thinking about how the meeting would go.

After getting ready, Ivy left for a psychiatric hospital by taxi. He felt more anxious when he arrived at his destination. Ivy searched room 302, where Michael was being treated, with some confusion. When he found her, he felt his heart as if it was squeezed.

Ivy felt uneasy as she stepped into the special care room where Michael was being treated. He could not imagine what would happen. What would Michael say? Will she welcome him with open arms or will she turn her face away?

Michael sat on the bed with a pale and tired face. She looks very different from when Ivy last met her. His face looks shattered and Ivy sees that Michael's leg has been amputated and he feels like his heart has stopped beating.

His face was blank as Ivy entered the room. He did not speak or even look towards Ivy. Ivy felt very nervous and kept staring at Michael, trying to figure out what he was feeling.

But then, after a while, Michael lifted his head and looked directly at Ivy. Their eyes met and that was when Ivy saw tears streaming down Michael's cheeks. He kept crying, like water just flowing.

"Mi-Michael," Ivy said in a hoarse voice.

He smiled weakly but Ivy knew it was not a sincere smile. Ivy could see the pain and devastation that was depicted on Michael's face.

Ivy took a seat beside Michael's bed. She tried to hold back her cries but she felt like she couldn't help it anymore when she saw Michael's very bad condition.

"Why didn't you tell me about your situation? Why didn't you tell me you needed help?" Ivy asked, crying.

Michael responded with a stronger cry, "I miss you so much, Ivy. I missed you so very much. I miss everything we've been through together."

Ivy hugged Michael and said, "I miss you too, Michael. I miss you too."

The two hugged tightly for a while, and as they parted ways, Michael looked at Ivy's face with tearful eyes. "I'm so sorry I lost you, Ivy. I don't know how I live without you."

Ivy smiled gently and said, "We don't need to talk about it now, Michael. What matters now is that you're healthy and we can be together again."

Michael looked at Ivy with an elusive gaze. Ivy knew that she felt very sad and embarrassed because of her current state. Ivy tried to strengthen her heart and give her best support to Michael.

They continued to talk for a while, recalling their memories together. Ivy tells the story of his life and what happened since they broke up, while Michael listens carefully.

However, their atmosphere remained sad and tense. Ivy can feel the pain in Michael's heart, and he knows that Michael's journey to recovery is not easy.

"I'm so sorry I left you, Ivy. I know that I've ruined our relationship with my bad attitude" Michael said.

Ivy looked at Michael affectionately. "It's been a long time, Michael. I have forgiven you and want to help you recover. I want us to be good friends, and I'm always here for you."

Michael smiled slightly, "Thank you, Ivy. I don't know what to do without you."

Ivy smiled and kissed the back of Michael's hand, "We're going through this together, Michael. I will always be there for you."

That's when a nurse came in and told me that Ivy's visit time was up. Ivy felt very sad to leave Michael alone there, but he knew he had to leave. He kissed Michael on the forehead and left the room with a heavy heart.

Outside the room, Ivy felt like the world was collapsing. He had no idea how he could help Michael to recover and deal with his psychiatric problems. But he promised himself to stay together and help her as long as he could.

When Ivy arrived at Annisa's house, Annisa looked at her with a sad face and asked, "How are you? How's Michael doing?"

Ivy sobbed and told Annisa everything, from Michael's bad condition to their sad conversation.

Annisa embraces Ivy and says, "We have to stay strong and support Michael. He needs us."

Ivy smiled weakly, "Yes, we should do our best for her. He's suffered enough."
