It’S Me Again
Chapter 5's

Reynold feels disappointed when Annisa leaves just like that, but he understands that Annisa is still hurt because of their past. He decides to give Annisa time and space to heal herself.

Although Reynold continued to contact Annisa and tried to apologize and provide an explanation, Annisa remained stubborn and refused to listen to anything from Reynold. She still feels hurt and doesn't want to get stuck back in the relationship that made her sick.

Although Reynold had attempted to contact Annisa many times, Annisa still refused every invitation to meet Reynold. He did not want to hear any explanation from Reynold and felt that their past should be abandoned.

One day, Annisa receives a phone call from their friend, Sarah. Sarah invites Annisa to Reynolds birthday party to be held that night. Annisa initially rejects the invitation, but Sarah asks Annisa to reconsider and gives Reynold a chance to explain everything.

"Annisa, I know that you're still hurt because of your past with Reynold. But I also know that Reynolds is deeply sorry for the mistakes he has made. I hope you can give her a chance to explain everything" Sarah said in a soft voice.

Annisa remains reluctant to see Reynold even though she continues to receive calls and messages from Reynolds. He was still upset with Reynold and did not want to hear his explanation.

Annisa still remains in her position not to see Reynold after the incident at the restaurant. He decided to focus on his work and fill his free time by exercising and doing fun activities.

Several months have passed since Annisa received an invitation from Sarah to attend Reynolds birthday party. Although she did not meet Reynolds again, Annisa was still thinking about what explanation Reynolds wanted to give, but on the other hand she still felt disappointed by Reynolds attitude that left her just like that, forget about their relationship that has been established for several years.

After finishing her work routine at the office, Annisa walks slowly along a quiet street towards a small restaurant that is on the corner of the road. It was getting dark and the sun was almost drowning behind the tall buildings. He felt his stomach start to rumble and his mind mused about what he really wanted to do. What's he doing there? Did he really want to meet Reynolds after all that had happened?

But despite the hesitation, Annisa still stepped forward and walked into the restaurant. He saw Reynold sitting at a table in the corner of the room, looking restless and sad. Reynold raised his head and looked towards Annisa.

"Annisa," Reynold said in a trembling voice.

Annisa did not reply, just nodded and sat down beside Reynold. They were silent for a moment, staring at each other without saying a word.

"I'm sorry" Reynold said in a trembling voice.

Annisa looked at Reynold blankly, then turned her face away.

"What do you want Reynolds to do?" ask her in a cold voice.

Reynold bit his lips, holding back a cry. He tried to explain his feelings, but was unable to find the right words. He felt very sorry for what he had done to Annisa, and was eager to apologize and fix everything.

But Annisa is still hurt and upset with Reynold. He felt that Reynold had broken his heart, and was unable to apologize to him.

"Why are you still calling me, Reynold? What do you want from me?" again, his voice began to rise.

Reynold looked at Annisa with teary eyes. She felt very sorry for the mistakes she had made, and did not want to lose Annisa from her life.

"I still love you, Annisa," he said in a stammering voice.

Annisa looked at Reynold with a sharp look, but a trembling voice came as she replied, "But your love is not enough to fix everything you have done. You broke my heart, Reynold, and I don't know if I can trust you anymore."

Flashback.

Reynolds was nervous as he sat in the waiting room of the hospital. He came here after feeling strange symptoms that had continued for the past few weeks. After a while of waiting, the doctor finally called Reynold to enter his room.

"So, what's really going on?" reynold asked in a worried tone.

"I'm sorry, Reynold. After doing some tests, I found that you have a serious illness" the doctor said in a soft voice.

Reynold was horrified to hear the news. He is afraid of facing a future full of uncertainty. But there's one thing scarier than her illness, which is how to tell Annisa.

She and Annisa have been in a relationship for years, and Reynold knows very well that she loves Annisa very much. But he did not know if Annisa would remain with him after learning of his health condition.

Reynold came home with a mixed mind. He sat on the sofa, staring blankly at the wall, trying to ponder what to do next. After thinking things through, Reynold finally made a difficult decision. He had to break off with Annisa.

With a heavy heart, Reynold picked up the phone and called Annisa. As the phone lifted, Reynold felt his heartbeat speed up.

"Annisa, I need to talk to you" Reynold said in a trembling voice.

Annisa was astonished to hear Reynold's voice. They usually only talk in short messages or emails. Annisa felt that something was wrong when she heard Reynold's trembling voice.

"What's going on, Reynold? Are you all right?" annisa asked in an anxious voice.

Reynold took a deep breath before speaking again. "Annisa, we have to talk seriously. I decided to end our relationship."

Annisa was shocked and disappointed to hear the news. He did not understand why Reynolds could suddenly break off their relationship.

"But why, Reynold? What's wrong?" asked Annisa in a sad tone.

Reynold was horrified to reveal his illness to Annisa. He did not want to make Annisa sad and burdened.

"There's nothing wrong, Annisa. I just feel like this is the best thing for both of us" Reynold said in a trembling voice.

Annisa felt sad and confused. He doesn't know what's wrong with their relationship, and Reynold doesn't give a clear explanation.

After they hung up the phone, Reynold felt very sad and lost. He knew that he would face a difficult future with his illness.
